I consider Elvis as a member of my family. I have heard his voice and seen his face everyday of my life.
His music actually improves the disposition of my entire household.
Would never live a day without him.

For those talking about the quality of the sound, IMO the sound was much better this year, than in the past. Thanks to the Smith family and all they do, to get the real Elvis and the truth about Elvis, their loved family member, out to the public!

Thank you SO much, Danielle! There was no need to record :). I just LOVE hearing Billy & Jo recount their stories -- it's more meaningful to me, to actually see them as they speak. I'm so grateful to them and to your family for making this possible.
The road trip in 1948 is such a great story -- 4 adults and 3 kids in ONE car, eating "Mississippi round steaks" from Tupelo to Memphis. Billy would've been the youngest, (I can relate), so on the floor for that child!
There's no need to read any books or watch any movies about Elvis. Billy & Jo's memories are great--loved how Jo tried to explain how Elvis was just an ordinary person--it is hard for a fan to "get" that.
I hope it wasn't too stressful for them to go down memory lane. I visited Graceland the following day, (I do recommend that to Elvis fans), but meeting Billy & Jo was THE reason why I drove to Memphis -- what a privilege! Love to you and your entire family!

I was raised about like Elvis and ate round steak often. I remember my dad calling it round steak also. When I hear these stories I can relate to them and know what they are talking about. Fond memories. Living with Elvis and not being "better than you" attitude is so nice. They are just country folk. God bless them as they tell their memories for the future Elvis fans.

@@vickylong3229 That was such a great story. I grew up on West Coast and hadn’t heard of “Mississippi round steak” 🤣. My parents were inventive too -trying to stretch the dollar and feed a family was a challenge for them. I thought canned tuna on toast was THE best meal, (one can for 7 people 🤣), so maybe that’s why I like to hear about the Smith’s and Presley’s road trip to Memphis.
People forget depression years. My parents never did. Adding a zero to a check when you’re trying to put food on the table is not a sin. I’ve always felt that was such a harsh punishment for those men. Times were very tough-people forget that.

Enjoyed the Session very much. Loved Jos description of Elvis's looks! She always tells things in an honest & forthright manner... "No beating about the bush". I agree with her about the last few years of movies about him,no-one will ever capture the Essence or Charisma he had, it was unique to him. He just had it like no-one else, its why all of us are still Fans many years after his passing.
He just connected with so many peoples hearts!
I agree with Billy, Kurt Russell did the best job in portrayal & he actually acted as a boy with Elvis in the Movie "It Happened at the Worlds Fair" He kicked Elvis in the shins in it. He had a bit of an idea of Elvis's magnetism.
I've seen him talk about Elvis in interviews. Always good.
Thanks for all you do "Smith" family to set the record straight about him! 🙂

Thank y’all again for taking your time telling all of us about Elvis’s unique and human ways, his qualities all his twerks habits everything! l just try to imagine being inside a room around Elvis listening to him carry on a conversation, his look ,just the true Elvis Presley, l think what really gets me about Elvis is his voice how his voice changed from way back when he first began , also his personality,Charisma his body movements the way he smiled when he spoke, his humor and, his caring attitude his voice pattern was absolutely amazing the slight shyness you could see and his mannerisms , l just could never imagine Elvis being a bossy man ! He seemed too laid back in one way in another way he was sort of hyper and aggressive Elvis was a man of many faces and emotions from one minute to the next you never knew what you would get “ that right there is what made me love Elvis “ plus he could sing anything and make it great l like his Jazz “his blues “Country “rock n roll , his softness in music especially thanks again Danielle, Billy and Jo you sure were blessed to be aromatic the most fascinating human in the World ! 🙏🌹❤️💕🦋🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏💜💜🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🌹🌹🌹🦋🦋

Thank you everyone for getting this video to us. Thank you, Jo and Billy for always being honest when you answer questions you have integrity for Elvis and yourselves and that is so admirable. I didn’t make your Q&A this year but I do have a question that one girl spoke about Billy Stanley and Jo kinda talked about George Klein. My question is I heard that not one of Elvis’s high school people including George or red spoke to Elvis at his prom he sat alone with his date Regis I believe her name was and not one person came over and said hi to him And I find that so irritating. Do you think they had a change of heart because Elvis became famous? I always hate to think people are like that, but sometimes they are.

    • @lindamcpherson8374
      @lindamcpherson8374 4 дні тому +3

I wondered about that. Jo made it clear that Elvis would NOT be dunked in water to wake up. Maybe Larry Geller saw it happen just once? I remember his story, and his point was that the Colonel did NOT care that Elvis wasn't able to perform, (hence, the inhumane treatment). That raises a question I wished I asked:
How do Billy & Jo feel about the Colonel, especially in later years. The Colonel is portrayed as evil in the 2022 movie. Do they think he was cruel to Elvis and Vernon in those last years? Did the Colonel abuse his relationship with Elvis and manipulate him and his father?

    • @exdus235

I love your stories and videos so much. Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us. I have always been curious about your thoughts on the movie made after Elvis' passing, This is Elvis. My question is was it filmed in Graceland? And if it was, I don't know who would have approved of it, perhaps Jack Soden and Priscilla? But if it was filmed in Graceland, I find it sad and disrespectful if the scenes in Elvis' bedroom are of his actual bedroom - particularly with the actress who played Ginger, laying down in Elvis' bed. That bothers me so much as I feel it's such a violation of Elvis and his dignity and privacy. I hope those scenes were not in his actual bedroom. That's cruel and a disregard for him in my opinion. What are your thoughts. Thank you again for sharing Elvis with us in a personal way, but you all are so protective of him and his fans deeply appreciate it.
