If you get the 1500 ZR2 with the 3.0 diesel which is the new base engine you can save at least $2,500 bucks and get even better fuel mileage than the 6.2
How about range between the two? Considering tank capacity. I'm on the fence
@@TA-co5mv they both have a 24 gallon tank, i think the diesel gets 20 city 23 highway, the 6.2 only gets 14 city 17 highway. Diesel fuel is above the gas but the 6.2 requires premium fuel. If you travel a lot or have a long commute to work the diesel would be worth it.
@@joshtaylor1416absolutely right. If you buy a truck it’s not for the gas mileage
I just purchased the 2024 2500 ZR2. You are correct. It was a no brainer getting the 2500 over the 1500. The 2500 looks better, and has a larger bed.
Pretty interesting considering they are the same price...the 6.2 and front locker in 1500 are temping but the 10 speed with 6.6 seems like an awesome combo. I prefer the column shifter, floor shifters on a truck make absolutely no sense especially considering console design.
I'd probably go with a LT trim, I like front bench seats, hate goodyear tires and tow more than id ever off road a land yacht like this
Awesome to see side by side comparison! Thanks for making this video
1. I like the new look of the GM products.
2. I have for years gotten the HD trucks over the 1500 because you get a lot more truck for just a little extra price. Like you said just a few bucks more and yes worse fuel mileage you have a much better truck. It’s all these people who want a truck for it looking cool that drive the 1500 prices way up.
HD 2500 ✅ love the updated head lights.
I have a 2023 1500 AT4 and that seat belt to shift is a setting that can be turned off. I would assume you could on that truck too.
Just ordered an HD ZR2 today in Lakeshore Blue… like the way it rode and still has a lot of towing capacity for our soon to be purchased camper. Which reminds me… have you measured pin weight on your 324MB fifth wheel?
Awesome, LK Blue is my favorite. I have another few videos coming on these trucks, stay tuned. Pin hitch dry on 324MBS is 1900...this past summer I posted a video with the payload on my 23 F350 and I was sitting at 3400lbs with the Superglide in the bed.
@@CTECH-REVIEW ok, so I’ll have to either go with smaller trailer or be careful about how I load it and what hitch I use..
Oh and those two little plugs in rear of trucks are for trailer cameras, not trailer lights. They integrate into center console camera views and you can even do transparent camera view one of them.
Disable Buckle to Drive in the radio settings
Itch to trade 2021 Sierra AT4 carbon pro 6.2. Considered Ford 3.5 power boost but now I am not sure. I am in the older demographic and the ZR2 is appealing.
seat belt key would allow for short slow drives without hooking the belt up.
Price dif. The 1500 has a front locking differential, the 2500 does not.
Can the ZR2 2500 be order with the max tow package?
I don't know what this guy Is talking about, and I suspect he doesn't either. No, you do not need to put your seat belt on first on 1500. If he would just press the button on the side of shifter (as he does when he shifts) you can drive the truck w/o seat belt.
2500 zr2s are 120k before tax in canada, 1500 zr2s are 93k.. dont get the pricing in this video
Is anyone paying MSRP right now. I’d imagine more 1500 ZR2’s around the country then the 2500 ZR2? probably real world pricing out the door that 1500 is cheaper ??
thanks for Watching, I am not sure. I provided Gregs info in the Description. He could probably answer that in case you were interested in one of them!
Depends on the trim level and engine. I know they have bigger rebates on the 4cyl turb, but little to nothing on higher trim level’s. Some dealers will discount but it depends on what their supply is for that trim level.
I wonder how many bugs it takes to create the chevy logo with dead carcasses through that flow tie on the radiator. 😂😂
The lower part of the front bumper cut out on the 1500 looks stupid in my opinion. Who ever came up with that should be Demoted.
Diesel is $9000 more.
I’ve always been a Ford guy, but GM is currently making some of the best looking trucks! Great review! I’m actually surprised on the price difference. Personally, I’d still probably choose the 1500 for the smoother ride, slightly better mpg and easier to maneuver/get in and out of (yes, I’m old lol). But if I was hauling heavy loads, that HD would be the way to go…in the Bison version of course. Looking forward to part 2. Thanks!
Couldn't agree more! Thank you for watching more videos to come, stay tuned! Please subscribe if you haven't already!!
