I like how the music sounds vaguely like sephiroth's battle theme, a truly epic boss fight indeed. @UzumakiKun , no the white smoke merely lowers your defence and blows you back. But considering the god-like powers of this "Dark Rathian" , that's probably a death sentence.
It's like they took a Rathian, threw some Gravios into the mix and some Nargacuga just for flavor and made this! The more I see this game in action the more I want an english port for the game, I'll glady add this to my list of mmo's

@jimmydutch94 It's called 排熱噴射機構 (Heat injection mechanism). It's something you can apply to Gou HBGs. Basically you get a bar, which slowly fills when you shoot regular bullets (any, but depending on the type the bar will fill fastly/slowly). Once it's full you can shoot that lazer :p It's continuous dmg till it lasts. Also, there are some oils you can use to make the bar longer/shorter.
i was about to say "is this rathian really that Dangerous" but then you got hit by that one laser fire ball thing she shot.... then i was like "ok, forget what i was about to say... that's pretty darn Dangerous attack she got there..."

even though this new rathian appears kind of like an event quest, there will eventually be stuff made entirely for rathian, so keep your heads up lol ^^ imagine what the armour will look like @_@
This reminds me of the old Uber Rathian legends from MH1, where a group of hunters had an odd glitch where a Rathian spawned in a Diablos quest and had random moves from other monsters and was really buggy. Never found out if it was true or not, but apparently Capcom liked the idea.
@FlashBander I apologize for making that assumption. But still, it's not as popular as it could be outside of Japan. It stands a better chance in Europe than the US, I think. XP I dunno if there are as many easy-FPS lovers in Europe as America.

@Willro91 For the first thing , it's certainly because these guys are veteran rath-family hunters. Second , that's actually a bug that happens from time to time. In case you didn't notice though , that thing chomped off one half of the player's health in one attack and the rest went red. Also , this thing has three rage phases augmenting it's power and those phases don't go down. And last , it's strong because it can SHOOP DA WHOOP!!!!
@franciscocordera i wish that could happen.. but i dont think so, frontier was and will probably always be a korea exclusive monster hunter. however, they are releasing it on the xbox 360 so there is always a chance that it will come out to the rest of the world.

@sasukexx I thought I was the only mad about all the price gouging capcom does with multipl versions of the same game and DLC Monster Hunter is one of the few Capcom games I genuinely like these days. I do like fighters don't get me wrong and own some of the capcom ones but to give you an idea on how much I trust capcom I didn't buy MvC2 til last year to make sure there wouldn't be another version. any others were gifts or credit i just wanted to use on something.

@delico140 Its a new move, unlocked with SR100+ dual swords. SR is a new type of levels unlocked at HR500+, which allows you to pick a new (& usually stronger) move, which replaces one of the old one. At sr100 you can unlock a second one. the backflip gets the place of the unsheathing move. i dont really like it, cos the only good thing about the backflip is that it lets u hit higher spots, but its slower, and less powerful, than the regular unsheathing move :p

Rathian's been my favorite monster for loong time... seeing this new subspecies for her that kicks so much ass... It makes me a happy hunter.
