This is actually really sad. Not gonna lie when Alex said that his first video with you guys bought a tear to my eye and when Lauren said “I’m sure you’ll find other Americans” set me off 😭😭 best of luck Mike & Lauren with everything in the future and the 👶 & can’t wait to see what you have planned Alex. It has been great to experience 2010's Untill now with Mike and Lauren. I'm gonna miss them, but I'm sure whatever you come up with after moving to Germany is gonna be really good too. Hopefully we are gonna see Mike and Lauren on this channel again some day, even if it's through a zoom/Skype connection. 🙂

The "chanting" in the Norwegian song, comes from the culture of the native population in Scandinavia, Northern Finland and Northern Russia. They're called Sami.(Simular to the American native population). You should check out a Swedish/Sami singer, Jon Henrik Fjällgren. He performed in the Swedish try out for Eurovision. He also won Sweden's got Talent in 2014. His chanting is something else! I'd suggest "Mountain Dance" (official music video), "Daniel's joik" (Sweden's got Talent, 2014) and "Jag är fri" (= I'm free. Melodifestivalen, 2015. He was first runner up after Måns Zelmerlöw, who won Eurovision that year).
Can't wait to see their reaction to Madonna. 😂

From all the reaction videos I've seen, Mike and Lauren are definitely my favorite Americans to react to Eurovision. It's been amazing watching them react to all these years. I wish them tons of luck with the baby, and I hope you can update us on them despite not being with them in person. As for you Alex, thank you for giving us such good Eurovision content, and lots of luck to you on the move back to Europe. I hope you can find some people there who don't know Eurovision so you can start a new series with them.
I like Sebi (Slovenia) because it makes me fall asleep in a good way. It's not boring, it's relaxing and ethereal. As for the staging, the close up shots are a little uncomfortable, but the wide shots match the ethereal vibe and make it seem more intimate.

@@alexandrumic I still cant believe I found you by accident, and now consider you a dear freind; I'm hoping maybe I can make a trip to Europe again if I can get my legs and feet healed, and maybe meet you on Germany somewhere. Which state are you moving to? [thats broad enough to still give you cover LOL). I wish I could make it to TUrin, but by the time my health and finances might permit it, it would be impossible to find anything close enough/affordable to the Village. I've been to Torino before, and enjoyed it, though iot was a young person's lifetime ago... maybe 1988 or 89.

great that Mike and Lauren are now living in my country (Germany). They have the chance to watch the Junior ESC (in Dec. 2021) and the next ESC (2022) on TV.

We'll be in Turin next year - and this is bittersweet. I've really enjoyed watching videos with Mike and Lauren and I wish them the best. I was thinking of putting together a small playlist of songs/performances that, in my opinion, changed Eurovision that you could perhaps show to others.
Mike and Lauren will be missed tremendously. I'm sad beyond measure that this is the last video with them. And I guess I'm speaking on behalf of a lot of people when I say that these two are so special, fun and charismatic and it's hard to see them go. I hope we will see them in future episodes for some guest appearances. Please don't let this be the last video with them. I wish them all the best for the future and the baby. i know this is very cliché but your videos really help me getting through the rough time of quarantine during this pandemic, even more when Eurovision finally cancelled in 2020, that was a tough one! but then i found your video "Americans react to Eurovision 2019" yes the very first video of Mike and Lauren, now looking back at it, it was like "wow, what a journey!!". from a stranger to a good friend, i feel blessed, thank you for everything, Alex!! and of course Mike and Lauren, thank you for being real! these sad comments from everyone make everything more sad 😭 lol. but i can't wait to see more videos from you and what you have planned for your channel! maybe we can do zoom again with Mike and Lauren and play Jackbox hahaha.. good luck for everything! 💚

I know we all fer TERRIBLE for the Belarusian artists, now being locked out. Maybe some of them can at least sing for Ukraine or Russia. But I'm sure we all agree we can NEVER tolerate or accept the bullshit from Lukashenko. While it';s sad that Val didnt get to perform, this young lady left ESC with an excellent performance to remember Belarus by.

As a big Eurovision fan, I like watching various Eurovision reactions & I stumbled upon your channel around 2019 I think. It’s kinda sad that the series with them has come to an end. Good luck and stay safe on your travel to Germany & advance congratulations on Mike & Lauren for their baby. ☺️
Never underestimate the skill involved in choosing a song that lives exactly in the narrow overlaps between totally lame and absolutely fabulous - between taking yourself too seriously and goofing around - between self conscious melodrama and accidental comedy - between high camp diversity and 'family entertainment'. No American competition has all that.
One of my earliest memories is sitting with my (British) parents, watching ABBA win with Waterloo (giving away my age there.... damn I'm old!) so that song set the bench mark for me, and every song since has been a failed yet noble attempt to live up to that masterpiece.

Norway was really good, remember them getting that large amount of points. They totally deserved those points. Im happy though that The Netherlands won. I was 4 years old the last time we ( the Dutch) won and this year we won again exactly 44 years later. Imagine in 2019 I was 48, how long we had to wait for another win.
