Music video by Culture Club performing Time (Clock Of The Heart) (2004 Digital Remaster).
One of the greatest songs of all time ..... Moves my heart
From such heartbreak came such a compelling song. George may have had his issues, but he could put his heart on his sleeve and write a fantastic song.
Yes!!!!!
this was one of my favorite groups in the 80's
still one of my favorites
mine too
oh your so lucky.i love his music too.
Me to. Still kinda is.....
weedandwine me too
As a 51 year old straight male, I have ridiculous respect for this cat. Some might not realize the barriers he broke in the 80’s. He was mocked, ridiculed, and yet, stood by his guns. Anyone who is able to express their sexuality, whatever that might be, owes a tip of the cap to George. An icon that changed the game.
You're right.
Hvr
Well said...
mad respect to your comment.
That's the problem, the game was perfectly fine then, with cats like this and behaviour like that some way off in the margins. Not, rank perversity pushed and promoted, and indulged in, as much as it is now. I'm 52, male, straight.
This is a fantastic song, possibly his best work.
Im a hard ass biker ,but this tune grabs me and boy George has such a great heartfelt voice.i can listen to this all day.
I think it is great that you are a homosexual
thank you for posting scott. if i find out who dropped that bs comment before mine i'll send you their name, etc.. you can describe the smackdown here.
@@josephgordon3608 please explain
Bathe and relax in my shit OH MY GOD LOL 😂😂😂
It needs to be said that the strings arrangement are achingly beautiful on this song, and the sax solo is an impeccable addition. Simply PERFECT. Nothing can make it better.
You are right about this song it is perfect and no one can sing it like our Boy George he always had thastrong soulful voice and hw is still absolutely still good looking .we just can't get enough of the Culture Club.😍😍😊
I'm a sucker for strings and sax! First gen Culture Club, still adore this. My 20 y.o. daughter knew this from the first note.
How can people dislike this song? Makes no fucking sense, excuse my French.
because their fucking retarded and wouldn't know a great song if it bit them in the arse!
Jose lizardi Tha Video Might not be for everybody. But they love their Idea more than tha video. Probably cant get around tha GAY shyt lol hahah. I heard tha song before I seen tha video and tha group. They probably seen tha video first. And got locked out.
David Brunson your stupid as fuck you really think your comment has any relevance? How much money did you make on your last album? Don't quit your day job beavis 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cameron Potts why does someone's sexuality have to be brought on to the conversation? Do you have something against gays? Before you attack me and say im gay and insult me i will make this clear i love all women, im not going to say how many but ill say im truly blessed, i stand up for anybody being bullied. If you don't like the song change the fucking channel...... its not rocket science.........
Jose lizardi First of all, I believe you got David's comment wrong. He probably meant the people who don't like the song are 'retarded' and so on, which of course is a bit exaggerated but the point is quite valid for us CC fans.
And about the sexuality matter, it does matter for some people. Unfortunate but somehow understandable I'd say. Some people think it makes you gay to like things that are somehow linked with homosexuality. You obviously realized this as you went on defence about your own sexual orientation. I got a truck load of bullshit at me when my friends found out I like Culture Club and Boy George.
Well the point Cameron has is probably that the song alone might sound good to some people, but when they see it's an androgynous performer singing it scares them of. Homophobia is an unfortunate fact, we just have to live with it. I'm not saying all these people necessary hate homosexuals, but the idea makes them feel awkward. My friends don't mind listening to Culture Club, but when they see a music video they go ''The music is all good but I don't want to see that face'' meaning George.
-''your stupid as fuck''-
''How much money did you make on your last album?''
-''Do you have something against gays?'' -''If you don't like the song change the fucking channel...... its not rocket science.........''
I was kinda disappointed to read all this from the guy who opened the conversation, especially the last example sentence. You asked and got answers (of some kind at least), no need to go all aggressive on everyone who thinks different than you, even if you felt passionately about it. It's music, a matter of taste, some like it some don't, no big deal. Passion is good, keep it up in a positive way. And while on the subject, I'm glad this conversation is on ''Time'' as it is my all time favorite song and will always have a special place in my heart.
Okay by now I notice I'm writing a novel already so I'll just stop, hopefully you get what I meant and no offence to anyone. Just keep on enjoying the song :D
Still in love in 2019
Only my opinion but think is was their best song. Love it.x.

One of these greatest voices for all times!! Bravo George O'Dowd
What a time to be a teen in the 80’s. Depeche M., Spandau. Duran2, Phil Collins, eurythmics, Wham, BandAid, Bananarama, The Gogo’s, U2,
Adam and the Ants, and way too many more
Wasn't born till 1980 but 80s music is LIFE to me.
I love that you mentioned BandAid. USA for Africa was great and amazing but I much prefer BainAid not to mention they did it first and started the trend.
What about Michael Jackson? Queen? Woow, so many legends!
We were truly spoilt for choice....and we danced our socks off.....study wasn't on the agenda.
gosh i wish i could be a teen in the 80s, even if it was just for a day

Been a fan since the 80s. Never ever even thought about his sexuality. All I knew was that this man had a gift and he shared it with the world.
Yep say that, him and Michael from WHAM.

And no one had an issue with him wearing lipstick...we didn’t even care because he could sing lol they had great songs!

Say what you will about the Club (and many have), but these are still very good songs that have held up quite well nearly 35 years on.

Such an underrated song and miss these days when music had good lyrics and just made people feel good. The 80's & 90's were a blast!
J.S. It's not underrated. No 2 in America. It also has other accolades and is regarded by many as Culture Club's most enduring song.
@@club1fan552 It's sometimes overlooked, not underrated.

One of the most incredible tones to any voice ever. I don't think I fully appreciated JUST HOW GOOD Boy George was back then. Amazing!
Ahhhhhh, totally agree with u Thinker. When I grew up, I had peace, a normal childhood....boy George was in my radio daily...I think those times wont return ever bc too many people r arrogant, haters, polluters, impolite, frustrated, ishhh....n they take it out on us!

I'm a straight male ,( as straight as you can be )!!! But I have no shame in admitting that not only was I a huge "Culture Club" fan,but a huge Boy George fan as well! That dude is a a hellafied songwriter. He writes the type of songs that" transcends" ethnicity , race or gender-) that's what good music does!

I' m a straight girl, too. But my girlfriend and I were Boy George Fans through and through in the 80th and we still love him today :)))))))))
Who cares what his sexuality is? His choice. Beautiful music
It was beautiful music,, we all sin & fall short OF THE GLORY OF GOD
That's WOT it's all about, MUSIC! 🤩
No one did care because they had no agenda. Though he did confuse a lot of people. I'm straight but loved a lot of his music. It also helped a lot of girls did to. He never tried to force his sexuality on me even his music could be for both straight or gay relationships. Its only the Lgbqt movement and there agenda that makes me anti Lgbqt.

1980-85 was an incredible era for pop/rock music, so many great artists and so much variety. I feel very lucky to have been able to enjoy it all in real time. Culture Club were one of the best too.
This decade was simply magical. The talent of artist was non stop and the hits kept coming across all genres. With the second British invasion of music, I made several trips to England per year. Boy George, etc along with MTV and VH1 music videos changed a industry and molded my life for the rest of my life. I am so thankful for this decade in my life. I am very fond of the 70s as a kid. The 80s, were very fondly remembered as my generations decade. I would not change a thing.
83 to 85 were the optimum years of the 80's
I thought the entire 80's decade was great but 1985 was my fav year of the Big 80's. Phil Collins, Sting, Dire Straits, Tears for Fears, Simple Minds, Whitney Houston, Scritti Politti & The Power Station all had monster albums that year. There were also many other amazing albums as well.

So true!!!😍❤️😎
Culture Club was the epitome of the 80s dance scene. We all danced endlessly to Culture Club at parties, school dances, summer camp. We never thought for a second that Boy George was transgender. We did not care nor were we concerned. However Culture Club made great dance hits that made the 80s unforgettable
Just like people never thought that the lead singer in Dead or Alive was transgender, and people still dispute it even after a bandmate came out and say that she was transgender. Being trans is beautiful, not everyone is on one end of the spectrum.
Boy George isn't trans. He's just gay.
Well said! Exactly, we didn't care that you were LGBTQ, that was never a concern or issue, we just enjoyed the music and time with our friends and family. And yes, the 80's were incredible.
He's not trans. He's gay.
Wasnt thrown our faces is why. Unlike today. Peace to all.
Listening to this now, 35 years later, makes me appreciate how good Georges melodys were. Its still a well structured song. Brings back memorys of an innocent era, when life was simple and carefree. What id give to go back and relive my teens through the 80s again.
dean roa, yes, they are Georges!!
Lol. The year this came out I was 16 and working my first job renovating buildings, saving up for my first car. Which turned out to be a 1960 Ford prefect van. (Sigh) Memories of the 80s I will remember fondly for the rest of my life.
Me too.
dean roa Same here.

He was back then in the 80s one of the most beautiful enigmas with a voice that was one of the best out there during that time and still is (: and he was culture changer and a trend maker (: because his style was bad ass then (: he was one of the best artist and the culture club a really good group (:

***** I came up on 80s music and Sade and the culture club were big parts of that great period of awesome music (: Which why singers like boy George and Sade George Michaels were all great vocalist in there music styles (: The 80s spawned so many great singers some better than others but all of them great (:

I was in my 20s in the 80s and being out of college and just having a good time cruising and going to clubs and the beach listening to these great songs was too much!
Nothing ever lasts, I miss you Dad.
I feel you. I miss my Dad to! May they RIP
41 years later...Still gives me goose bumps.
That's because it's the best song culture club ever made. It'll always will be a gem.

George Michael and BG are once and a 100yr Artists
Same
Its not 40 years yet !
This song gives me the chills...It takes me back to my childhood in White Plains, NY. It’s true as we get older “TIME” becomes so valuable because we realize we don’t know how much we have left and we can’t get back what we spent. If only I could go back.
Yup chills
I've been to White Plains, nice city.
He's British
Me too
I grew up in Albany N.Y and this was a part of my childhood as well.
This is when music was about the music. Absolute classic that will stand the test of time. It’s always on at my house party’s. 80s rock 👍🏻
when they actually played instruments, like the violin, saxaphone & piano!
Totally agree!
@Jarvis78 What a beautiful song to play at parties! I would be dancing and getting tears in my eyes. ❤️💋❤️
@@loveorjustacrush nice wording with another classic song in there 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This is my favorite Boy George and the Culture Club song. Speaking of time, where did 40 years go? 😞

Where indeed?
Damn, It's true. I wouldn't have believed if I wouldn't have searched on Google. 40 years!
Who's listening in Early 2021 missing the 80's...much better "time" back then!!!!
I was 11 when this song came out. The 80's was TRULY the BEST decade to grow up in.
It was a truly happy 'time' back then, never had a better decade than the 80's and the music therein.
Better music
I was 14. Great memories
Entered the 80’s aged 18 ..... great decade , from what I remember 🙈
These were the best times of my life in the 1980's .........
It was the best years for a lot of people's lives believe me.. long live the 80s best
you were to lucky... i was born 1989....i wish i was born 14 years earlier...
@@theokikilas2856 I know how you feel man I grew up in the 70s wishing I was in the 60s but Along Came the 80s and it was great it was the best years of my life I loved it but look at it this way you're still young enough you know you got more decades, coming to you I don't who knows what the future holds
There's a local nightclub near me called "Totally 80s" ... sounds like you'd all love the place.
Even the logo is in a 80s style.
This song just puts me in a mood and feeling that I can't explain.......
I agree with you this song puts me in a good mood and is the best way to start your day.
I watch this live on MTV I didn't care for it much then but now I appreciate the creativity considering the garbage they got for music nowadays.
same, strange isn't it
i was with a girl called jayne at the time working at the birmingham international airport new build and this song still reminds me of her . she died at 24 and i think maybe thats what it is
I know what you mean. Just brings back so many great memories! Being young, carefree, and happy! Where does time go!
“Time won’t give me time...” Those were the days... leg warmers... fluorescent socks ...
I still have legwarmers never out dated
Every month or so, I have to have a fix of the good music of the 80’s. I just take an hour or so and go through my favorite music. Thank God for UA-cam!
I have to do this too. I love the 80's !!!
I do the same thing in South carolina
Me too except weekly🙂
me too reminds me of my carefree days happy listening
I have loved Boy George & Culture Club since the 8s. They have some beautiful voices & harmony. Good for Boy George for his vision & his strength. He’s a class act!! ❤
What a pretty and adorable woman ,hello, my darling ?
The medal Song is beautiful
Not embarrassed to say that I was a Culture Club fan they used to rock his songs in the clubs back in the 80s
Early 80's pop music was the best. Culture Club's songs still hold up and sound just as fresh 30 years later.
How is this song 40 years old? It still sounds so fresh
