Best sign for the Avs? Georgiev not showing the frustration/down-on-himself body language after letting in a lousy first goal. On TV at least, he just picked up and played the game. Only one goal-where he was effectively screened-the rest of the game. And several big, timely saves.
My AVS scoring is the main reason why they win. Let's be realistic here. I like Mittelstadt. He stepped up. I use to be a Georgiev guy. But after watching some replays of him letting some savable shots go in the net. Nah. Just nah. But at the same time, he's all we got for now. Georgiev is average... period. But the last two games, he's been good. However, his inconsistency remains to be a concern. You have to mentally focused for playoff hockey.
"Savable shots" what makes you the expert on what is savable and what isn't? Like you said he's inconsistent, but that can be fixed. You can't complain about savable shots when he's an NHL goaltender and you aren't. You also have the benefit of seeing the shots from a birds eye view and not from what georgiev can see. It's deceptive and a lot of the time the "savable shots" people complain about are ones he couldn't physically see or get to. Obviously a few you could argue he could've stopped but then again that's every goalie.
@@purplepotato69 The hypocrisy is strong here. I've seen a lot of "AVS fans" talk about Georgiev and other AVS players. Funny how that works. At the start of the 2023-24 season, I saw a lot of people telling AVS management to trade Girard. And here we are in 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs and I've seen a dozen people say "trade Manson." But I guess Georgie gets special treatment. Nah dude, not the way it works.
Bednar is a heck of coach and very genuine during these interviews.
Better give Mittelstadt, a multi year deal, with a truck load of money. The steal of the century, obtaining him. Freakin' dude has skills.
Casey is shining. Do glad for him to see big time hockey.

If Casey has the puck and you play the shot, he's gonna make you pay with a sick pass. Proved that a couple times last night.
