I couldn’t agree more with the prior comments saying that it’s no benefit having Matvei coming over this year. Just don’t have enough players around him yet. Next year would be ideal.
We do NOT need him here this year because we have 8 picks in the first two rounds the next two drafts so therefore it's time to draft a solid nucleus to surround him with... It is totally fine and preferable IMO to have him come after next season at the earliest or after his SKA contract the year after... Have no idea why the question of him coming this year is ABSURD because there is no benefit in him coming now!!!
The benefit is that we can monitor and control his development instead of letting SKA scratch him indefinitely or send him to a shit tier KHL team like Sochi. Why let him develop bad habits on bad teams?
You state " It takes the pressure off of Jamie Drysdale'" in regards to the Gauthier trade. Correct me if I'm wrong but it was a 2 for 1 trade - Drysdale AND A SECOND ROUND PICK IN 2025 for Gauthier. I don'tl think it's fair to compare them "1 against 1" when another future player is invloved in the trade.
You make a good point, the 2nd round pick could have a positive impact as well and influence how the trade is assessed down the line. Thanks for listening!
@@vasiligianarakos1261 When Flyers traded Brayden Schenn, they recieved St. Louis's 1st round pick that year - MORGAN FROST, and St. Louis's 1st round pick the following year - JOEL FARABEE. Just saying that you never know how 2025's pick might turn out.
Did i actually hear you say you don't trust The Russian Goverment? Let me ask you both . Do you trust either of your Goverments?please answer cause i wanna have a geniune talk becausr its curious 1 i have. Please answer both of you ! GO FLYERS
Bottom line you guys are tight, the nhl can pay a player to break his nhl contract and basically defect however now you screw it up for all future Russians and future nhl draft picks from Russia, niw Russia eint trust us and stop developing players just to leave home and play in n America. You have to obey there rules or else no more malkins or oveys ever again. The Russians will just stop producing players for the world to enjoy
Great, Flyers will have possibly one player that can actually play. Flyers had their chance totank and get Bedard who is a better player. Flyers are nothing but a team of overachievers.

Best to build relationships through trust. It’s more tenable, long term.
