I swear i've been in the exact situation the secretary was in when I had to tell my boss how we we're gonna get screwed by OSHA. I could feel my next check getting "lost" in the mail as he said he can find a way to deal with it in an inflection of malice.

As someone who has owned a small business in California, I can completely relate to this... right down to the combo of downing energy drinks and blasting minimal coldwave music in my ears to help numb the outside world and get through the day... for me it was thinking about all the overhead costs and taxes 😂

My bastard brother is a PM and comes home from golfing all day with his boss on a Tuesday, and I'm trying to recoup on the couch after working since 5am. Had the nerve to ask if I had a light day at work because I was home before him. I died laughing while cursing him out. Kinda miss that work though, I was miserable and picked up bad habits at first, but it was fulfilling sometimes.
I guess it's the money for man hours to make something 20 minutes long like this each time for no return, whilst also making each one a creatively complete piece (sam wouldnt half ass it). Network TV paying you and providing you the means is the only way this stuff can get done I'd imagine
