G'day Ralfy, congrats on the trophy and what an awesome club the NCC is. I have been keeping tabs on the club for many years through various publications and now the interweb, I've got a copy of Feb/March '74 bike magazine with a letter from a Bill Gill the secretary of the NCC setting out the aims of the NCC and the same mag. also has a BSA A10 chopper built by a guy named Decca plus a Tony Thacker tells the strange tale of Gary Glitter's chopper-google it. I even spotted you twice in the NCC May bank holiday 2022 YT video. Cheers Ralfy, thanks for the veelogs and still watching from NZ where my shadow is getting longer the days are getting shorter my crop is harvested and there's some snow on the mountains so winter is on the way. 👍

Thanks bud, the threaded inserts? Because of the original tank steel they end up double layered and harder to seal with weld

Won't that tank need 2 petrol taps or a balance pipe? Also, (Meriden) Triumph had to fit a brace between the two halves of their tanks because the weight of the fuel and the vibration used to split them.

Balance pipe was my recommendation, Richard didn't have one on his old tank

@@RalfyCustoms @Ralfy Customs I find balance pipes to be a right pain. If possible I fit a dry break coupling. You can buy good quality, but more expensive, brass or plastic CPC couplings from tom-parker co uk website, or cheap plastic ones from bike parts retailers. I prefer brass, having had the factory plastic couplers fail on a Triumph, presumably because they were on top of a hot engine.

Very square tyre on that yamahaha Ralfy. Tread pattern is also strange for a bike, almost looks like an old style cross ply tyre - didnt steal that tyre off an old model A ford did he? :)
