I just can't understand why many people criticize your ways of teaching these newbies. I haven't been bike fitted and biomechanically tuned but I was applying all of those you show on your video and it helped me improve my climbing and sprinting. If I'm not mistaken, I feel like my bike doesn't fit me and my cleat position is all wrong but just doing those biomechanics you've taught helped me improve. I can't deny it at all, because I can see and feel the difference. What more if I was biomechanically tuned by coach? It'd be night and day.
Thanks Sir Cruz, I’ve used your techniques by watching your videos only, and it helps me a lot in my climbing especially. If I was living in the Philippines, I would like to be fitted by you and ride with the rest of the newbies.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge coach. I've been using the same beginner beater with an 8 speed for 5 years. Your system makes the most sense of all I've tried, and feels the most efficient for me at least. I've upgraded my 12-25 to 12-34. Spinning up climbs or on flats feels more efficient as well. Also, I can feel that my top tube length needs to be reduced 2-4cm for the bike to fit better. Keep up the good work!

Do you think the seat looks too high? Legs are almost locking out at bottom of stroke, looks painful. His knees will be shot after 30 miles. Also by moving the cleats back makes the reach for the legs even longer, so the seat needs dropped to accommodate that extra throw. I am new to road riding, started in July last year and have slowly learned these things. Currently training for a 113 mile 10400ft sportive event 😟 Suffering bad neck pain after 2 hours. Not good given the event will take me over 8 hours. Tried various positions, still not found on that works. Stem is 100mm so considering trying a 90mm one but I have a long torso so may feel too cramped in the front centre of the bike with less room. It's a tricky one to solve.
Hi Moody,Thank you for taking the time to share your insights and experience on my vlog. I appreciate your attention to detail in analyzing the rider's positioning and emphasizing the importance of proper bike fit for long-distance rides. It's great to hear that you have been steadily learning and improving since starting road riding last year. I wish you the best of luck with your training for the 113-mile sportive event, and I'm sure your dedication and hard work will pay off. May I call you coach too even if we have not personally met? I've been following, watching and emulating your posture and torque techniques on my rides for almost 12mos and I can personally attest to the fact that it works. It worked for me 12months ago and it still works to this day, I've improved a lot just by mere posture and chain ring techniques. I have to be honest that I don't always do big ring + big cog on my climbs (since I don't usually go for speed on my climbs) but when I do use them, my ride buddies always comment on "how strong" I've become on the climbs. My heart rate has been amazing on my rides. Disclaimer: I've paid a good chunk of money for a professional fitting session here in the US and you are absolutely correct that they do everything by the book and didn't really personalize the fitting to me - they just trusted their computer, looked at me, put me on my bike, entered my specs on a computer and took me on a rigorous 2-hour fitting session - though it helped me get my bike adjusted to my physique, it didn't make me a better rider or climber. A few rides before I came across your videos, I was having bad knee pains (with a properly tuned and adjusted and fitted bike if I may add) - a friend did a 2min adjustment on my cleats and seat height and rake and it did the trick... so much for that expensive "professional" fitting. I returned to my local bike shop to let them know about the pain and they just told me that it will take a while to adjust to my fitting... ok, I said, and returned a couple of weeks later to take advantage of their "unlimited adjustment" sessions... I was greeted with sighs and attitude and I just felt I wasn't as important a customer as I was the first time. I wish that you and Tank can do an LA tour and spend a few weeks here and ride with your "fans".

The value of the stem is the stability of the front of the bike.. if the bike is big, and try to fit it by using a shorter stem, the front of the bike would be twitchy.. get a smaller size frame. 1 size down vs the manufacturer’s recommended size.. and pros are pros. Coach , comment from Seattle, WA. Re bike SIZING - 1. Toe crossovers with the front wheel is a big hazard, should that be amplified too in the selection of bike wheel base and crank length? 2. Great job on your biomechanics emphasis and guiding your customers in real life climbing, though. We have lots of mountains to climb in our area. with all due respect, 53x30 gear ratio is exactly the same as 39x22, so why the need for pros to cross chain? well, i can only guess of a few explanations .. first, because they cannot afford to loose a fraction of a second changing gears from big to small ring on climbs and back to big ring on flats, not to mention the chance (however remote) of the chain dropping off while changing gears underload .. second, and most importantly, because they have sponsors to worry about their drivetrains should the same be ruined or damaged due to constant and prolonged cross chaining .. so, to me, if you are into racing and don't have to worry about your drivetrain, then you can go ahead and cross chain .. but for an ordinary mortal like me, who worries about maintaining my drivetrain myself, i may climb on a big ring, but maybe not to the extent of cross chaining (hehe)
b.t.w. unlike shimano and campanoglo, which both do not encourage cross chaining, sram and fsa say it's ok to cross chain as long as the chain doesn't rub the fd ..

@@inakigoitia I’m pertaining to the geometry of the frame itself. It is premium carbon but if you notice even on TDF, the V3RS is favoured as UAE’s main race bikes, they do keep C64 as well. The C64 is definitely capable and I didn’t mean it in a way that “you can’t” use it for speed. Btw fun fact, Colnago and Ferrari were previously partners.
@@shag3doo that's why the c64 comes in geometry S or H. S being more aggressive or shorter top tubes. It's all rider preferences ans also manufacturers want the pros to ride those new bikes for marketing reasons. Pros will ride anything and still go fast that's why are pros. About this video.. 2 weeks since the guy bought the bike. He should have returned it to the seller who sold him a large frame and say this is the wrong size.
Coach i have Colnago size 50s with 80 mm stem and im 5’10”. Nasolve ko yung back pain pero yung numbness sa kamay meron parin. Do i need to change to 90 mm or 70 mm stem? Singapore based po kasi ako now.
Ayy Coach I love your realtalk coach about bikes, it really doesn't matter if you have a freakin S-works,Pinarello, or other expensive bikes or how expensive there parts is, it will not gonna make you faster well it can actually but that's only like 10% out of 100% base on my small brain, if you really wanna go fast train hard, till ur body starting to collapse 😂. For newbies there Bikefitting is trying to make you comfy on your bike, and reduces all ur complains for example, Sumasakit na fingers and Sumasakit na likod, Bio mechanical tuning or in short biotuned is like teaching you how to bike like for example activating ur sleeping muscles, how to generate more energy etc... BTW coach i actually apply some of your position or posture for climbing the one that i use more is the one that you need to lower ur back and pull ur handle bar to you and it actually improve my speed from 13kmh maintaining my speed on 10percent grade to 15 sometimes 20kmh depending on the grades so yeah thx coach especially for the newbies that you biotuned That's peace, Nearly there coach 30k subs u only need 500subs more you should celebrate tho😂
Fit is king. If you have an access to a good custom bike fitter/ builder who knows what they are doing to me that’s the beat route. Steel or titanium for me. Get a decent components for you. The rest is getting yourself to get as fit as you can and don’t get into that upgradetitis cycle. It’s more motivating to drop somebody on a bike that cost 3 times your bike😃🙏
It seems like most of your clients seem to be buying bikes of the wrong size (bigger). I’m saying this as the ‘solution’ always seems to be simply shortening the stem. Also, cleats are just slammed all the way back. This is not wrong but seems like this doesnt consider each person’s unique body. No changes in crank length? No arch support in feet? No changes in seatpost for more or less setback? No changes in handlebar to account for body measurements? Also very unsual as a bikefitter that you actually ride the client’s bike when adjusting. This works if you are 100% identical, but clearly there are a lot of taller clients. This is probably the reason why people disagree with these “methods.” Just my 2 cents Of course, you’ll reply with the generic comment … “thanks for viewing and commenting.” 🤭
Yes, shortening the stem to what looks like an 80mm (or less) will be detrimental to handling. Steering can become very twitchy on the descent after climbing. Also, why aren't shorter crank lengths being used? Slamming the cleat all the way back isn't always the best solution, as each body is unique.
Curious din ako hahaha, kso MTB ang gamit ko, baka ma science lng ₱₱₱ pag wlang practical application tulad ng ginagawa nila after each session hehehe kaya salamat at may ganitong video, may natutunan khit paano 😊
John Ronald Raviz yes Ive been in research for the rb size for my height of 5'5" and half at lumalabas na 48 tlga ang fit sa height na ganyan although pwede rin naman daw 50 pag wala ka makuha na 48 at sa stem nalang daw mag aadjust.
@@angeldelrosario5125 Yes. Before I was planning on buying the size 50 but then realizes that if I want more control and add aerodynamic I'll go with the smaller size 48 so that I could use longer stems 😁. Thanks for the input great advice.

Coach i have Colnago size 50s with 80 mm stem and im 5’10”. Nasolve ko yung back pain pero yung numbness sa kamay meron parin. Do i need to change to 90 mm or 70 mm stem? Singapore based po kasi ako now.
Lever hoods should be parallel on the ground tska baka masyado rin naka tiltdown yung saddle mo..
Ayy Coach
I love your realtalk coach about bikes, it really doesn't matter if you have a freakin S-works,Pinarello, or other expensive bikes or how expensive there parts is, it will not gonna make you faster well it can actually but that's only like 10% out of 100% base on my small brain, if you really wanna go fast train hard, till ur body starting to collapse 😂.
BTW coach i actually apply some of your position or posture for climbing the one that i use more is the one that you need to lower ur back and pull ur handle bar to you and it actually improve my speed from 13kmh maintaining my speed on 10percent grade to 15 sometimes 20kmh depending on the grades so yeah thx coach especially for the newbies that you biotuned
That's peace, Nearly there coach 30k subs u only need 500subs more you should celebrate tho😂
You won the best sensible comment for this episode. For that you get a shirt

This is probably the reason why people disagree with these “methods.”
Just my 2 cents
Of course, you’ll reply with the generic comment … “thanks for viewing and commenting.” 🤭
Yes, shortening the stem to what looks like an 80mm (or less) will be detrimental to handling. Steering can become very twitchy on the descent after climbing.
Also, why aren't shorter crank lengths being used? Slamming the cleat all the way back isn't always the best solution, as each body is unique.
magkano kaya magpa bike fit at biomechanical tuning kay sir cruz?
Curious din ako hahaha, kso MTB ang gamit ko, baka ma science lng ₱₱₱ pag wlang practical application tulad ng ginagawa nila after each session hehehe kaya salamat at may ganitong video, may natutunan khit paano 😊

Amazing coach... Your so amazing
I just tried big ring big cogs on an uphill this morning, it feels great, but as the gradient gets high my spoke broke. 😅😅
Ouch
Sir ano po maganda rb size pang 5'5?
size 48 pre tapos adjust sa stem for reach
@@johnronaldraviz4052 salamat idol
John Ronald Raviz yes Ive been in research for the rb size for my height of 5'5" and half at lumalabas na 48 tlga ang fit sa height na ganyan although pwede rin naman daw 50 pag wala ka makuha na 48 at sa stem nalang daw mag aadjust.
@@angeldelrosario5125 Yes. Before I was planning on buying the size 50 but then realizes that if I want more control and add aerodynamic I'll go with the smaller size 48 so that I could use longer stems 😁. Thanks for the input great advice.
So pag 5'7" mga sirs 50 ang size? 50 top tube tama ba?
Virtual biomechanic pls. Ty
