I had some real strange colours from my pairings last year when i looked into it. They were very closely related. But a mixture of a red with an Andalusian bred some real amazing colours.. including red Andalusians opels and mosaics a real mixed bag..
Hi Adam Very interesting video. There are some indigo's in the Janssen family. We call them by the Belgian name red schalie's. I don't know if it is a cross that has gone into the Janssen's or they go back to Janssen's Rode De Zot 57 & 58 . Two blood red cocks. Is that possible. Also Janssen's had slatie's in them. Could any of these colours produce indigo. Great Video
Thanks Kevin. There is evidence of Indigo in some of the Belgian strains, but I'm not completely sure how it got into them. The gene was definitely present in France around the time the modern Racing Pigeon was developed, so it is entirely possible that it snuck in somewhere at the beginning. I am aiming to do a video on slate/schallie/smoky in the near future too 👍
Interesting stuff Adam it's fascinating to see the results of experimentation with the combinations of modifiers. Some lovely guest birds. Great to see one from Neil Pratt, I follow his channel too.
, dom. spread ) almond , stipper , rubella, reduced , rec. yellow i kilka innych .
Hi, just wondering what kind of preventative meds you give your birds. I have a bird that lost some weight but seems to be bouncing back but I would like to give my birds something so that this does not happen again. Any tips? Thank you.
In the first cross you'd get normal cocks, and hens that are whichever colour the father is. Producing a bird that is both dilute and reduced is more difficult than you might think, because of the genetic linkage.
Sir I have a question.. can we incubated racing homer eggs under different pigeons? Cause I heard that parents milk contain some hereditary genetics..please help me?
@@AdamArcherPigeonssome of them are getting very skinny so I will give them medicine against worms, and I just gave them grit because I didn't know that they need that. My pigeons stopped preedeing and I don't know why
Hello Adam Very Informative.
I don't know about anybody else, but these colours always look better on racing pigeons rather than fancy pigeons.
Love your videos and website! Pigeons are such beautiful birds with so many interesting morphs.
Masha-Allah
Love this two years later ❤️❤️
Hey Adam, a website is a great idea and looking forward to it being complete and full of amazing information!
Thanks, I hope it takes off! I won't be able to do it alone, it is designed to be collaborative.
06:37 wow what a beautiful bird that colour is just beautiful
Brilliant!! Very well explained. Your videos are a real resource mate.
Glad you like them!
Agreed.....beautiful colours and patterns...great vid as usual adam......🏴
Thanks 👍
Beautiful birds. I am new a pigeon owner and believe I have two young indigo youngsters.
That front cover pic is a real nice one ive never seen a red with black chest.
Really interesting - I do appreciate the research you have made!🐦😀
Thanks, the genetics episodes are ever very popular but I'm glad some people like them 🙂

@@AdamArcherPigeons Thank you. Will you be doing a video on your racing loft in the future as well. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
AND THANKS AGAIN
Yes, I've just moved house (hence the lack of videos), as soon as the loft is built you guys will see it 👍
Nice video! Love this color

Could you make a video about stencil pigeon breeding..
Now what is roubella, and also deroy?
It would be good if we could upload some pics of the other ones i have aswell..

I am a new fan! Thank you for the videos you make, excellent work. I breed rare colored homers as well! We live in Louisiana USA.
nice bird adam
VERY COOL MATE .
Salute🕊🙏🏾
Can you make a video on Dominant opals? How to breed them? How not to breed them? Why it’s fatal to carry 2 copies? Etc.. thank you
What is the bird at 6:57 I have one that looks just like it.
Indigo T-check racing homer
Thank you
Why does it have the white flights
@@goatfarmer863 a pied gene causes the white flights. Nothing to do with the indigo.
Thanks Adam really good video I saw a feral pigeon at the park it was a blue dark checker with red bars and a reddish neck would that be indigo
Possibly, I've seen indigo in a feral in the past 👍
Hi, just wondering what kind of preventative meds you give your birds. I have a bird that lost some weight but seems to be bouncing back but I would like to give my birds something so that this does not happen again. Any tips? Thank you.
Weight loss usually indicated worms or coccidia, but I'd suggest having a pigeon vet look over your birds.
Nice bird brother
Thanks to everyone who submitted their birds for this video 👍
Salut je voudrai savoir qu'elles sont les croisement du andalou ??
Hi Sir, how can we develope or breed stencil colour in pigeons?
pls reply
I have also alot of indigo colors in my Pigeons
what would you get if you breed an indigo to a bald/blue check white flight or a red/white check bald????
At least half the young will be indigo.
Does indigo on blue base is phenotypically different than on ashred
What would you get if you breed reduced and dilute together?
In the first cross you'd get normal cocks, and hens that are whichever colour the father is. Producing a bird that is both dilute and reduced is more difficult than you might think, because of the genetic linkage.
@@AdamArcherPigeons Thanks Adam, are there any pictures of those birds that carry/show both?
Long time no videos
Could you do a video on how to breed pied pigeons please?
I will in the future, but just be warned pied is waaaaaaaaaaay more complicated than you'd expect 😅
What’s the Indigo Red velvet and how to produce it, I’ve seen pictures of it but I don’t know if it’s just ash red or recessive red
Homozygous indigo, T-Pattern, blue base
awww that poor pigeon 4:14 - 4:15 😭
Did you sales
No birds for sale
Sir I have a question.. can we incubated racing homer eggs under different pigeons?

Interesante y desafiante
Hello Adam, my pigeon don't wanna fly. They just sit on the roof :( how can I get them to fly :)
Do they have any health problems?
@@AdamArcherPigeonssome of them are getting very skinny so I will give them medicine against worms, and I just gave them grit because I didn't know that they need that. My pigeons stopped preedeing and I don't know why
👍👍👍✔
Kant you breed a gold pigeon
Recessive red plus pale, or homozygous indigo plus dilute can create "gold".
Dam you good Adam will you try it
Indigo s r wild birds they got crazy genes!
❤️❤️❤️
Lindos
