- Why LA 4440 is worst amplifier IC present today ? Because its is very old generation Class B audio IC . Noise is too much as per today's standards. Original 4440 manufactured by Sanyo was discontinued long back. What you get in the market are cheap Chinese clones. Choose Better options available with less price and High quality. Like. TDA 2030 series. 7283,3886,7293,7294 ect.
But even if you want to use this IC today , I have suggested the idea of implementation in proper way. See full video to know in detail about the same.

I use 4440 it because it is affordable. Earlier IC used to blow every few days because it used to become very hot, which can be felt just by touching the amplifier. I was very frustrated and thought of buying a new and different amplifier. But now I run it on 12 V DC (instead of AC as earlier). 12 Volt AC ke liye PC CPU ka ek spare SMPS se 12V ka line nikaal liya hun. Wise ghar me Inverter bhi hai aur 12V battery se bhi line nikaal satka hun clean 12V ke liye lekin Inverter Battery dusri taraf bahut door par hai aur kafi lamba wire lagaana parega to SMPS se kaam chalata hun. Now it does not heat even if I keep it running for 24 hours continuously. I have used it now for more than a month and it is running without any problem. I use two 4 inch Speakers left and two right. In addition I also run a 6 inch Sub Boofer (I had one of Panasonic system which main system is not working but Sub Boofer still in working Condition).

CD4440CU ( Triangle copper version )works well with proper filtration along with a good bridge rectifier ( made with premium grade diodes and capacitors) .. you can use 4pairs of 1000mfd 35v keltron caps with in5408 ST diodes and with a copper transformer with proper grounding for better performance ..

I have made LA4440 single ic stereo circuit as per shown in datasheet and run it on 8 ohms speaker with 13.2 v 2amp supply. Sound is clear no noise but have not come enough low frequency for bass that I need so what I will do?

Mere pass 1995ka la4440 system hai .. a66a bajta hai..
It needs a good Equalizer(i use power amp)
A single 8ohm@91dB/W/m 8inch woofer
And one 4ohm tweeter 4inch tweeter
2x 4700uF caps and modified a bit . Decreased the gain( increased NF resistor from 47ohm to 330ohm & NF caps from 47ohm to 100uF)
Removed the Equalizer section( i did not like the equalizer design.)
Used smps wires
Also added opamp for input.. active crossover at 3100hz
One ic in bridge mode for woofer and the other for tweeter
Oh and the tweeter is in series with a 33ohm resistor and a 4.7uF capacitor

Sir mene do 4440 plate use kiya hai dono me ek hi Bluetooth module SE input Dena Chahta Hu but sound Nahi mil Raha hai dono plate me separately deta Hu to output sound milta hai .! Lekin jab dono me sath input wire connect krta Hu to dono SE hi output Nahi milta.....!!!

Stereo mode me 6 watt per channel. Bridge mode me 19 watt total. Lekin half power pe hi noise level control me rahta hai. Full output pe 10 % distortion aa jata hai

STK 4392 better hai lekin agar jyada supply voltage ho tab. 12 volt ke liye 7388 best hai. 4440 number 2 pe hai.

NEC 1230 IC kaisi hai performance dijiye
1230 is better than 4440 but again it is class B which is not good. Please go for LM3886 if you can afford. It is even used in studio monitors. Otherwise TDA7294 is best for performance and value for money.

12 V DC pe IC nahi jalta hai. Agar ghar me inverter hai to inverter battery se 12V line nikala ja sakta hai. Ac power se chalane pe IC bahut garam hokar jal jaata hai.

There is no direct replacement for 4440. You have to use other board. TDA2050 is better.

local manufacturers bridge mode pe, koi bhi output capacitors hi nahi deta hai, direct speaker laaga deta hai.
aur bootstrapping ke liye 100uF ya fer 220uF ka capacitors lagata hai.
Jo ki datasheet ke hisaab se bhi thik hi hai.
In bridge mode capacitor is not necessary as both outputs have same voltage offset.
