My friend Michael (who is a pretty well known drag queen in the UK) made Black Pepper's purple eleganza dress.
The purple represents the infamous Cadbury's chocolate brand which use purple throughout their packaging design. Cadbury's are significant to Pepper also because like her, they are a Birmingham based company.
And Peppers beautiful skin looks like exquisite chocolate with all the opulent purple fabric ruched up around her.

For reference - Mr Blobby wasn't a children's character. He was a creation of an evening variety show and always had a sinister dark side. He didn't speak in an understandable way but was a bit like South Park's Kenny in that he was vocally emotive and was clearly swearing or being sexually suggestive. I can't easily think of an American analogue for comparison. 🖤

Jaymes has an interesting point about white tights reminding them of 'childlike drag'. Jonbers was known as JonBenet Blonde so it's possible they do/did 'children's pageant' drag on purpose. I'm surprised they changed their name actually because they were quite well known and it took me a while to realise who it was.
Probably bc there are almost zero companies that would do brand deals etc w someone who's name could be misconstrued as a mockery of JBR and her life/death. It was smart to change it. Now, if this were the good ol days of drag, very underground, that name would've killed.

I loveee Cheddar thought she’d be in the top both looks were on point. Sminty did great too but the antiques roadshow look was just a chandelier 😩 it was safe for me. One thing ex Ru contestants have taught me is that if you show the same look/quality several times in the first episode...you are screwed, because you are stuck. you cant get new outfits, the game is on and you are not prepared! thats all i got from Dakota. this episode had her in the same silhouette three times, the same concept 3 times..... as cheap and rough as Just mays outfits and makeup was (like Dakota ...if all she had was Ginger spice wigs and outfits...she was screwed anyhow) I thought the fact that she fit into that 'Unpolished looks' catergory that Baga mastered,would pull her through at least another episode.
...I really thought Dakota was gone! (also is there some new trend for Pastels and Black??? or was that just her?) also I REALLY think Dakota is one of the most beautiful women Ive ever seen, in confessional she was 100% giving me Twiggy,Emma Bunton etc...so stunning...but in 'Drag' she was just giving 'pretty girl wears satin' , the makeup wasnt drag. Sonique, Keri etc are beautiful women but when they do drag...they do DRAG!

Lololol… Why do people have to “look” something in order to be it? I think Jaymes looks mexican enough… whatever that means. She’s Fierce AF… i don’t need Ancestry to tell me that. I’m a Ginger so everyone always thinks I’m Irish… i have a little irish, and scotch(which is where the highest amount of Reds live) … but I’m a first generation American and my Dad’s from Germany so that’s the culture i was raised in the most. I’m White AF, is the takeaway of this rant. Jaymes is clearly Mexican-American and Trixie is definitely Native American. Americans are every color of the rainbow… no matter what nationality we are! Let us be who we are and stop sticking us in a box…
