When I posted this I never thought for a second that someone would be dedicated enough to sit down and transcribe the entire thing Great job! I would have been okay giving you the midi if it would have made your job easier lol
Oh my god. I never expected the video to get so many views but to have the original creator comment? Dang. There are some mistakes in the transcription, so I would be very grateful if you could provide a midi. You can find my contact email under the "about" section of my channel. Thanks! -Joe
It sounds almost heavenly. I'm writing my own arrangement of Canon in D with 3 bass guitars and two electric guitars. The Ruthm solos is 5/6, with Bass playing 5 quarter notes per half note, and rhythm guitar playing 6 quarter notes per half note. It sounds amazing
@@lnt2024 hahah. Well, if the bass fingers on the left hand would stay static for a bar, I think this would be actually manageable. But if you’d have to move them, it’s near impossible😂😂😂
After hearing how many of you wanted to learn this, I put it into a SheetMusicBoss-style piano tutorial ua-cam.com/video/YTL58Qs20gk/v-deo.html Also now official sheet music! www.musicnotes.com/marketplace/sheetmusic/MK0079555
I think the dissonant feel this has might be interesting to use for songs that very, very slowly become more dissonant. At the beginning of a polyrhythm bar you can barely the music being off rhythm, but it becomes more noticeable at the end of the bar.
A wrinkle could be how you pair the sub-tuplets. Best explained where do the extra notes land (example: 9-tuplet 8ths could be 2-3-2-2; 2-2-3-2; or 2-2-2-3).
There were 4/3 polyrhythms in my marching band show this year that were always at the end of some sets, I don’t think I ever got them quite right because the rhythm kept messing me up lol

what is going on?
5/4 and 6/4 next to each other had me ascending
0:19 time stamp for you lol

We all need to practice this shit right
FR
Yes
Maybe if you're part of a Frank Zappa tribute band
I think so, maybe then I'll be a good musician.
I’ve got up to 4:9
1:00 no way its a 0:4 polyrhythm!!
polyrhythmic "fun"

the 12/4 too
@@babyduckstareoh yeah, and 5/4 also slaps
20/4 goes hard
Just sight read the whole thing perfectly....
Then I woke up.....
I would physically explode if i tried to play this XD
12/4 was actually really satisfying
And 20/4
That's because there are exactly 3 notes of the 12 part each note of the 4 part.
My dnd character is an extremely charismatic serial killer. This is now his theme music. My DM hates it.
I'd love to see someone actually play that!
Something like this could actually be a nice exercise lol!
@@eendgans imagine playing it on the guitar

imma play this… BANGING MY HANDS ON THE TABLE
That 5/4 to 6/4 transition at 0:18 sounds like something from The Binding of Issac. I might be crazy, but I swear it sounds similar.
probably Forgotten Lullaby from Antibirth?
This comment finally made me play TBOI.
0:14 “theeeee siiimpsoooons”
A luxury piano players have is they don’t look at high notes and feel immense fear (trumpet player Frfr)
"Polyrhythm" and "fun" are actually antonyms
The title is an oxymoron lol
Or juxtaposition
polyrhythms are fun... until you have to actually play them yourself
3:4 “The Siiiiimpsons!”
real
Why is the 20 polyrhythm fit so goddamn well
20 is a multiple of 4
dude 4 over 13/8 sounded badass def stealing that for a composition lol
This feels like torture to learn 💀
Though it’s very very cool, you deserve more likes and subs
Average Indian classical music:
playing this while banging my hands on the table :3
17-tuplet sounds surprisingly good.
Was scrolling the comments until I found someone else appreciating the 17/4, that sounded awesome. Like slightly anxious 16th notes or something
5 and 6 were AMAZING
Damn that slaps!
That's a Chopin nocturne isn't it?!
11/4 sounds gorgeous
This sounds so good! I’ve been listening to that for already so many times on repeat!
They all sound so beautiful!
I think my favourites might be 9/4 and 14/4
This is actually really cool! I'm a try and practice this

Oh I remember being so in pain playing Scriabine with those absolute demons of rythms
This is harder than any piece ever written
I see this as an etude that could be used exactly for teaching polyrhythms.
We need an extended version of

I love everything about this

Nice, this sounds more like polyrhythmic nightmare

Thanks, my brain is now damaged!
It sounds so good
Definitely sounds like a saxophone solo that would be used in jazz.
My western mind is tearing in half hearing this
I got a simplypiano ad after this. I'd prefer practicing this!
Mattias Eklundh does exactly this in his piece "Floor Tom Tim"
idk if this awakes my inner polyrhythmic but i was able to like do this perfectly 😭
It feels like being in a car that lags and then jolts forward several times.

Chopin lives!
7, 10, 12, 13 and 16 all sounded elite
That was delightful

When I find a new piece I'm like "I should learn this!"... until I find out it has a darn polyrythm lol
The vibe is very Sakamoto
You broke my hands and my cranium
Awesome! Really cool rhythmic stuff.
Nice prelude!
This would make some amazing boss music
i learned entrapping in the business

ngl this goes so hard but i will go crazy trying to do this
This reminds me of when my chorus performed Messaiën.
I love this.
The very last one reminds me of one of Bèrben's exercises, except instead of being a whole 20-tuplet it's divided into four quintuplets
Great Idea ❤
Yoooooooo this is sick
No make it stop I wake up in the middle of the night screaming
Id be the pro-est pro if I could play this 😭 every piece would be a breeze
NIIIIIICE !! FINALLY !!
Least insane Chopin nocturne be like:
This is basically how i play piano
5/4 is fire
Turn this into a strings orchestra peice with hollow knight vibes then it works
Very fun! Check out Charles Ives’ piece The Gong on the Hook and Ladder, which does this but in 7/8
This sounds like a mental breakdown
I made sheet music to the same video, but mine is so off key 😭 urs is so much better
well... that was fun
Least ornamented chopin nocturne:
When I was trying to play I didn't realise I had it on 1.75 speed but it hits hard😂

8:4 is lovely.
wow really beautiful😅
11:4 had me rolling
13:4 had me dead
and the rest yeah i'm still dead
All the ones that are multiples of 4 sound the best 😂 (4,8,12,16,20)
Good Lord 🤯
OMG what is this torture 💀 I might give it a try...and stop at the 6/4 😭
This is fun!!!!
Nice idea …
I am dead
Kinda reminds me of Reich piano phase the way that one hand speeds up.
Me when i forget to practice rhythms💀
