Australia going through a post industrial phase was inevitable but this video made me realise how we squandered the mining boom and now our politicians are pushing an unrealistic "green new deal" type of thing that doesn't work. We could've rode green energy by investing that surplus in a Sovereign wealth fund to profitable green energy companies overseas and we could've used that surplus and invested it in solar, wind and other forms of energy and in industries that we could realistically sustain.

I have to add, that the Australian people can no longer blame governments that THEY keep voting in. I constantly write to our politicians, sign petitions, attend rally's and protests, where the numbers are PATHETIC for the amount of suffering we are going through. Australians are lazy now and want someone to make decisions for them. We, the people hold the power, and if you don't believe it, it is because you don't GAF and just love whining about being a victim. I didn't complete high school, but have educated myself on political and legal laws, because I take accountability for my own person. I care deeply about the suffering and sacrifice that generations of my family gave, from the 1800s, to ensure that I had a safe and abundant life.. the wars they fought in, risking the existence of not only themselves, but their gene pool and lineage, the unions they helped create and strengthen, which have now been corrupted and are negligible, the protesting and striking and sacrifices they made against unfair laws and rules and policy... I am willing to die on this hill to defend and protect, but sadly, it's very lonely up here. Get angry Australia. Take to the streets. DEMAND accountability. DEMAND action to remove Australia from WHO and harmful WEF agendas that are crippling business. DEMAND our resources are used to benefit us. DEMAND a standard of living that allows you to enjoy the fruits of your labour and your family, and allows you the basic human right of secure housing and food affordability. Support independent political parties, which we have some fantastic choices of.. (Australian citizens party are my choice. They have a UA-cam channel with weekly reports and are onto everything that actually matters). We hold the power. DONT GIVE IT AWAY.

The big two parties are failing us overall. We need tax reforms for multinationals and the rich, we need housing reform, we need energy reforms, we need truth in political advertising, we need to reform political donations, we need greater transparency, we need a consistent approach to climate change, we need to improve conditions and recognition for first nations people, we need to better fund public schools and hospitals, we need to treat the unemployed, elderly and disabled with respect, we need to increase our efforts to protect native flora and fauna. The two big parties have not been able or willing to make any meaningful change with respect to most of these issues. A conflict of interest exists with the big parties, particularly with respect to multinationals, energy and resources, taxation reform, truth in political advertising, political donations, and political transparency. Many powerful people in both parties want to maintain the status quo because it is of benefit to them and their benefactors. That we have a "choice" at every election is an illusion. At their core, both parties are fundamentally the same. I cannot see any way out of this situation that does not involve the minor parties.
