Redesign The 3000GT??
I actually really like that redesign. I can truly say that I would enjoy driving it.
these pacers handle HORRIBLY!! cool unique looking old cars though.The new design looks cool.

The front of the car for years 1975 to 1977 was already a beautiful, timeless design. They would just have to add modern bumper covers, and paint the grill, and headlight bezels the same color as the body.
Tbh that car isn't even ugly. I don't understand why it's 3rd in the 'Ugliest cars in the world' list. And you did amazing job once again. I hope you'll never quit making these videos because I'm enjoying them no matter which car you're re-designing. Keep it up mate!
Agreed! I think it's cool and quirky. It's different, but not so different that it's flat out ugly. I'm one of the few that feel the same way about the Pontiac Aztek (more so the concept car than what we actually got). I feel that it was respectably a different and honest attempt at a quirky and eye-catching car.
Finally, a redesign that isn't just a restomod. Amazing job with the pillars/greenhouse. To say this is designed today, one would surely belive. Keep up the amazing content!

I like the redesign overall, but I think the rear light has something off about its perspective, looks too parallel to the horizon and that sort of sticks out. But other than that it looks quite well!
yep. he got the perspective so wrong haha. was waiting for him to fix it near the end but he never did :(
@@declanwhite actually the perspective it's not wrong at all, but the confusing thing is that the right window is bent at 90° on the back side.
Its parallel to the horizon line because it is on the horizon line. So it's quite accurate.

Okay I'm really curious now what a modern car would look like, but styled like a 70's/80's car - you know with the chrome, the old lights, the old wheels, less chamfers etc.
The 1974 striping tomato I know there's probably a lot of people wondering what in God's name am I talking about I guess we'll see if this guy can figure this out what it is and if he could redesign it

I like it too! The Pacer may have been too different for people back then but nowadays, it's wonderfully distinctive.

Actually, I love AMC Gremlin. Pacer is just strange. But Gremlin deserves modern re-design.

The was the first car I saw with that upward curve in the rear quarter glass, which is almost in every vehicle today!

I came up with a pretty special idea for a redesign but i dont have the skills to do it myself so hear me out. A volvo amazon (volvo 121) but with the design of an American car from the 50-60s. Wider body, longer, bigger fins etc. Would be cool to se with any european car from that era really :)

One of your greatest job, grats! This Amc was not ugly originally at all, but unique and strange in its time. I liked how you only gently changed the details, keeping the characteristics of the old car.

Ohhh hell yeah. I honestly like the Pacer's design. Someone at my high school actually drove one to school. I graduated in 2017, so it was easily one of the oldest cars you'd see semi regularly in the parking lot, especially if you weren't counting old pickup trucks.

Always liked the Pacer. In this redesign I would leave the low glass belt line at the rear; it was the best feature and raising it makes it very ordinary. Then the C pillars: tapering towards the base.... not good. Maybe better to glaze over the pillars to give a full wraparound to the side/rear glass
Dude! The first car I can remember from childhood was a Gremlin. I was no more than two or three years old and this would have been 79 or 80. The car was older but I couldn't tell you what year. So many memories are always fresh in my brain... the AMC logo on the dash and spherical vents that could point in any direction. The full sized engine compartment/front end and groundbreaking hatchback design. We traveled a lot and I loved to climb into the far back and look up at the moon through the big rear window. Few cars have that instant nostalgic warm fuzzy feeling as a Gremlin holds for me.

Some more interesting facts about the Pacer:
1. The passenger side door was 4 inches longer than the driver side door to allow easier access to the rear seats.
2. The car was designed with the General Motors Wankel engine, but when GM cancelled the engine, AMC was forced to put their AMC/Jeep I6 in the car, which made maintenance extremely difficult.
3. Due to the large windows, there were problems with UV radiation literally destroying the interior overtime.
4. The car was surprisingly well received in France design wise, but didn’t sell well due to its width.
5. This car has been in various animated/live action movies and TV shows, most notably Wayne’s World, Cars 2, Monsters University, and Stranger Things (albeit as a background car).

Now that is a cool car . My grandpa had one of those back in the 70s , I remember riding in it and it felt like you were outside of the car not inside .
