Mile high and right move was SO good! For some reason the paradise problem seems unapproachable for me. And i didn't even like love redesigned as much. Excited about elsie silver's never title though ❤ For aug, my ambitious tbr- 1. Finish the last 3 books from Zodiac Academy(because they go fast) 2. Change of heart by kate(author of in a jam) 3. Better than a movie 4. Piranesi 5. Maybe, just maybe Cujo 😅
Hi Ellen, I am currently going down a cowboy small town rabbit hole and agree with you on Alive and wells and seeing red. Finished Elsie’s first book series (the name escapes me). Bourbon and Lies is quite good by Victoria Wilder - love the cover. Chasing the Wild is like a cross between credence and birthday girl by Penelope Douglas. And that’s y Elliott Rose. I’m currently reading Play Along by Liz Tomforde 😊
Carrie Soto is a must read, I’ve read all TJR books and it’s in my top 3 if not number one, i loved it. It does take a while to get into but well worth it, please give it another go, it’s 5 stars from me 😊
I’ve read Carrie Soto and really enjoyed it - scored it 4 stars on Goodreads. It does have a tennis vibe throughout, so if you have zero interest in tennis it might not be for you, but it also has this layer of resilience and persistence, and acceptance, which I really liked. It’s not 7 husbands but I thought it was a good TJR 📖✨💜
I loved loved loved Carrie Soto is back, you should definitely give it a chance! I wouldn't have imagined when I picked it up because I don't know much about tennis but it turned out to be my favourite Taylor Jenkins Reid book ❤ also if you're up for other book recommendations, my current read is "Marlowe Banks, Redesigned" and I think you might enjoy it as well!
Honestly mine too - I give Heartless a lot of love. But Reckless is actually my favourite. The way Theo is the PERFECT man for any woman who has ever felt insecure and uptight.. and I have totally been there! ❤️
I have a completely different reading taste but still watched the whole video just because of how inspiring it is to listen to you being excited about the books you read and the ones on your tbr. And I started to make my own August tbr in my mind while watching the video. By the way, while you read summery books at the moment my current read is set in December 😂
Hope you enjoy the Windy City series...I am on the fourth book...the first book,Mile High was good but the 2nd (The Righrt move )and 3rd books (caught up)were Fantastic!...enjoy!
I’ve read Carrie Soto this summer. I really liked it!! Yes it’s a lot of tennis but it has a lot more than that. I actually cried at the beach in Greece while reading it 🥹❤️
I absolutely adored Yours Truly and Just for the Summer. As an anxious girly and someone who loves when my partner goes all out, I felt like these two books where written specifically for me ☺️
Ellen, I am there with you for Powerless. I found it lacking it literacy authenticity. I just grabbing Flawless! I get your cowboy love now :) Ice hockey players are addicted, especially Elle Kennedy. I loved the Graham Effect.
Ellen, I read Carrie Soto is back when it first came out, and I've got to say I didn't DNF it, but couldn't wait to be done with it. I also didn't find it gripping, and I'm a huge tennis fan. I've read and lived other TJR books, but this one was not for me. Have you read and Ruth Ware? Maybe good for your October TBR.
Interesting! Maybe its just not one of her best - i'll give it another go and see if i can get through it, but it might end up being a DNF ❤️ Haven't read Ruth Ware - will add to the list for October!
I have not read Abby Jimenez, will have to add to my list. I enjoyed Beach Read, I would give it 4 star. I have listened to 5 books in two week. Started book 6 of Zodiac Academy, love the world ❤ I would give powerless 4.5 and give reckless 5 🥰 Your right with the typos 😂 I have to say that I been heavily into fantasy and don’t know when I will leave 😂
Carrie soto is so interesting.. Deffo my least favourite of TJR (seven husbands is my fav!!) and I wanted to love it, but the main character just wasn’t likeable enough for me to connect with her? Saying that, you must read her OG books, One true loves and in another life.. they have the same cleverness to them, but more summery and light feel!
Such a shame it sounds like Carrie Soto is just a bit of a miss! i'll give it one more go - but it feels like it might be a DNF 😭 and thank you for the other recs! added them to the list ❤️
It is acknowledged but it didn't bother me at all actually. I think the characters matter when it comes to age gap romance. The age gap in Hopeless (book 5) gave me the ick more because of the characters personalities. But in Heartless the FMC just owns so hard that she's always liked older guys and she is very self assured that it didn't bother me at all. ❤️
Ellen, I’m sorry I led you astray with Powerless. I listened to the audio so I did not see any of the typos. I had a hard time getting through Carrie Soto but stick it out and liked the ending. Love your videos. Your enthusiasm always brightens my day! Have a great weekend❤
I have finished Malibu Rising today and it's an interesting book. It's a bit out of my comfort zone because I don't usually go for telenovela-esque stories, but I really enjoyed it! It completely hooked me when the party started and I just devoured it, especially how everything that can go wrong goes wrong 10x worse with each passing hour of the party 😅 And I cheered for Nina in the end, it was marvellous to see her finally speak her mind 💖
Ellen!! I am in a serious love-hate relationship with youuu!🤣🤣 I am IN LOOOOVEEEE with Heartles and I just CAN'T GET ENOUGH.... I started the series based on your recommendtaion and I rushed through Flawless in two afternoons, and the next day I was right out to the bookshop to get Heartless because by the time I finished the first book I have already fallen in love with Cade🤣🥲❤ I started reading Heartless on the train on my way back home and it was SUCH bad idea. *SPOILER* I bursted out loughing when he picked up her panties... I decided to give it a go anyways and tried to read with a poker face, but like....panties and ma'am in one sentence is such an absurd combination🤣 At that point it was clear to everybody around me that I'm a crazy book lady so I didn't give a s... about going on reading in public. I finished the book the same day and oh my god.... I laughed...I cried... I fell in love...I wanted to get pregnant🤣😍 Heartless touched my heart in a way not many bookes have before... Thank you, thank you, thank you❤❤❤❤ p.s. I am currently planning on dyeing my hair red and moving to Alberta🤣
@@ellenalicemiller absolutely. I am looking for a broker or someone who knows their address. Or maybe I'll just email Elsie.😂 I have no problem with big age gap either, so old Daddy Eaton may do just as well for me (sincs all the boys are taken) - single dad and a beautifully blow***** garden. What more to look for? 🤣🙈

I think I've never been this fast. Its just for 19 seconds online?! Also, my tbr is getting long with all these good books i now want to read
hahah hi! ❤️ and sorry not sorry about the long tbr 🤪
Definitely keep trying with Carrie Soto! I am not into tennis at all and loved it, one of my favourite TJR books! X

Took me a while to get into Carrie Soto but ended up really enjoying it and reading the end quite quickly. You and Me on Vacation is great. Enjoy! ❤
Mile high and Right move are so good!
I’m amazed that there’s a genre of books about cowboy romance. I love your enthusiasm for the books you read . Great watch
The more books I read the more i realise there are loads of books about so many random niches 😂 glad you enjoyed the video! ❤️

The Paradise Problem!! Read it Now!! Just finished and loved it
Omg okay!! This makes me v excited
Came here to say this same thing! Devoured it within 24 hours! Definitely recommend!
I finished this book in less than 24 hours too, possibly my favorite book of the summer!

Ellen have you watched Yellowstone? I think you would really love it because of your love of cowboys!
I haven't yet but its definitely on my list to watch! My friends say its great ❤️
Lovely vlog!
I think you should get a personalized book stamp so when you loan your books to friends, they know it’s yours…to be returned 😊
Hope you enjoy the Windy City series...I am on the fourth book...the first book,Mile High was good but the 2nd (The Righrt move )and 3rd books (caught up)were Fantastic!...enjoy!

ooo okay thank you for letting me know! i knew TJR couldn't possibly write a bad one! ❤️
Really enjoyed a book called the Saturday place :) maybe one to consider x
I absolutely adored Yours Truly and Just for the Summer. As an anxious girly and someone who loves when my partner goes all out, I felt like these two books where written specifically for me ☺️
they are so good aren't they 🥹❤️
I loved Carrie Soto, the main character is a bit tough to love but I loved her by the end!
oo okay that's good!
I highly recommend The Girl with all the Gifts for October. Amazing book! They did make it into a film but the book (as usual) is far superior 😊
Ooh I'll check it out! Thank you ❤️

literary authenticity!! i love that description. I am LOVING Elle Kennedy so far wow - excited to get to the Graham Effect ❤️

Hello ellen
I was going to start Heartless right after finishing Flawless but the 13 year age difference gave me the ick. Is it very obvious in the book?

But in Heartless the FMC just owns so hard that she's always liked older guys and she is very self assured that it didn't bother me at all. ❤️
