You should buy the Criterion and review The Sword of Doom. One of my favorites.
Have you seen the Lone Wolf and Cub movies? Those are also really great!
I don't know if you have it yet but Criterion has released the Whit Stillman Trilogy of Metropolitan, The Last Days of Disco, and Barcelona. Three terrific films.
This is a very cool idea for a video series, Carlos! My vote’s gonna have to go towards “Wings of Desire”, I have a feeling based off your enjoyment with “Perfect Days” that you’ll love it just as much.

I would recommend Wings of Desire.
Any of the three trilogies Carlos you will honestly not regret the time invested but for a single edition go with Wings of Desire it’s that arthouse cinema goodness you enjoy! Cheers.

Hey Carlos, sorry I haven’t commented for a while being a father of three kids now and time is short. Anyway, it would be fantastic to hear your thoughts about Part 2 of the Human Condition Trilogy.
The Apu and Human Condition trilogies are both must watches!!! Two of my favorite trilogies of all time. If you loved The Hero and Devi, I'm certain you will love the Apu trilogy. Also Charulata if you ever get around to that one.
I recently rewatched Wings of Desire and I liked it a lot more than I remembered. Watch it!
Review The Apu Trilogy i.e. Pather Panchali. You'll love it.
I'm voting for The Three Colors Trilogy.
Human Condition III is the best in the trilogy, because the main character is actually taken captive in a Soviet prison camp and he's confronted with the reality of that system.
I don't know if it's too late, but I vote for Gate of Hell because I've been curious about it since you picked it up.

What fun! Only seen like two of these films. Can’t wait to see what you think.
I cast my vote as: Walkabout. Seems like a movie you'd dig. At the very least, even if you hate it, it'll certainly be unforgettable.

El norte! It’s a fantastic film and still relevant to today
Wings of Desire - it was my favorite film for a quote some time and is still my favorite Wenders film amd top 10 material.
wings of desire was a disappointment to me (loved Perfect Days and Paris Texas), id pick The Human Condition pt 2 (its the best out of the trilogy) or Apu Trilogy which is essential Indian cinema. But if (I) had to choose id go with the Human Condition as it is an essential historic epic follow recent events like nuclear tensions and Oppenheimer, and because Id first watch The Music Room from Ray instead of the Apu set. Enjoy your viewings!
Please watch the rest of the Human Condition! You will not regret it.
