I wanna do things to the UI designer(s) for SMITE 2, they did SUCH a good job, it looks so nice visually, clean, to the point, but on theme, and the info display is fucking fantastic, readability is fantastic, I can tell everything thats happening at a glance, while also keeping the spirit of SMITE. Im sure theyll never see this, but their work is by far my favorite game UI of all time. I absolutely adore it.
A word of caution for those playing fen I’ve found a bug where if you try to escape with your jump while low health and get killed mid jump your game will break and you won’t be able to use abilities or even attack enemy’s or farm just a psa
I was playing some Fenrir earlier (didnt go crit or anything, kinda went for a weird bruiser build and went qins) and with the k/d/a I had, DAMN maybe he IS broken. Idk what it is. Maybe its that he gets runes so easily now it feels lmao. But god, he is crazy.
The game got too many skill effects on the screen. A team fight is a nighmare for my eyes. Also the numbers poping on the screen are annoying af. It's alpha, so i wont criticize the performance even if its not that smooth.
Yea, and some effects, buufs or more like that are hard too see, i think legitemealy if i was playing, and fighting fenrrir when he uses his 2 and use bloodforge, i wouldnt see that's, and in as on video lokis 2, omg, hard to see so much stuff going on
Fenrir might be the most buffed god in smite 2 along with current roster not having access to built in ways to deal with him. Anhur is the only one with built in cc immune in ult. Then his changes are so op. fenrir in smite 1 gets to jump in at full runes to stun but after that ult or 3 isnt runed. Fenrir smite 2 gets 1 runed, ult runes and 3 runed, bcs his ult does need consume runes and just gets prots for free and after exiting ult you gain 5 runes. This is massive change.
fen feels really good but on the inverse anubis felt really bad from what I played with him. Guess there can only be 1 top dog, or mage items just arent as good as strength options
I honestly dont think this fen is OP. its more that the gods chosen in the alpha cant deal with him. He is the same fenrir with just more damage. Not enough of the counter cc's and movement to deal with him. Put this version in smite one and he still gets cooked, but a good amount less since its a general damage buff
While i agree the reason he might be as op is bcs of god choice (almost no adc or mage has in built beads in current roster, beads longer cd (anhur only has ult)), fenrir did get massive buffs. First his r no longer consumes runes to gain prots, 2nd it just give immediately 5 runes. So jumping in with 1 for stun with full runes, ult into bite into brutalize gives you 3 effective rune uses that smite 1 fenrir would need. Smite 1 fenrir can jump in with stun but no prots during ult in that case and even after landing out of ult you need w and 3 autos to get runed brutalize.
It's in the alpha stage. Give it a couple months for closed beta damn lol I've been playing it and I hate conquest with a passion but I actually don't mind It in smite two that's progress I've been placing g smite for over 10 years only season I didn't play was 4. Smite 2 was a much much needed update these huge updates they've been advertising are simple small changes in ue5.
I'd give it half credit. Smite 2 is doing stuff to help the transition and isn't *apparently* trying to mislead people about what the game is supposed to be. Overwatch 2 changed core game mechanics and systems with the reason of PVE then discontinued PVE because it cost too much. That's what really got people annoyed not the update. And Smite 1 seems like it will still be around during the games first months, so if the game is a tremendous failure, they can fall back on the original.
How is it a money grab???? The game is FREE TO PLAY. You are not obligated to buy anything. The only thing that a f2p player should buy is the god pack. OW1 and 2 are LITERALLY the same game. Blizzard could have updated OW1 instead of making OW2. That's money grabbing.

I’ve found that holding your backwards movement when brutalizing helps with the junk feeling somewhat, stops your from ending up behind enemies

The jg clear is just to fast for fen I mean i love it but definitely can farms jg and get fed from that pretty quick

the new purple is "technically" the support buff. gives no longer AS, but flat STR and INT in an aura
I hate active items they need to just be passive in some way like have it auto activate when you hit lie 30% hp.
i wish jungle camps were stronger, i really dislike how Smite 1 camps were weak and not even a pushover
