In case you were curious, the famous match between Kiilshot and Dante Fox was basically the LU version of a three stages of hell match. The first stage is first to bleed, second was no dq, and the final stage was ambulance match.
PENTA snapping arms brings a joy to me; also the gear Kairi and Iyo are wearing on RAW is inspired by Black Lotus Triad in Lucha Underground. And Iyo pinned Pentagon Jr as well.
Lucha Underground was absolutely one of the best wrestling shows I've ever watched! The matches was insanely awesome!! I really wish they would bring the show back
Season 3 really was the season of the tribes. We had the beginning of the Rabbit Tribe aka Karrion Kross' group, the lizard tribe, and my favorite the moth tribe. Paul London was such a great part of Lucha Underground. I adore that man. So underrated in my opinion. It is so funny because I believe at the time they were doing a program with the ring announcer being romantically involved with Fenix but the ring announcer was actually with Cage in real life. Marty had a weird obsession with the announcer. Marty had a weird obsession with Sexy Star in the first season that involved him kidnapping her and keeping her hostage for the season break of season 1 and season 2. It is crazy after so much time I STILL remember the lore and storylines. I was so into it you have no idea. It is an easy promotion to get into!
A friend and I made it to one of the early S4 tapings. The new Temple was a similar industrial warehouse near the original in Boyle Heights. It was a bit disappointing as most of what we saw was enhancement matches to get the debuting Jake Hagar over. Several of the big Lucha Underground names had left by that point. A few notes on the presentation: -The logo and stains on the mat were added digitally in post. It looked like any other fed's mat. -Wrestlers entered with no music at it was also added in post. This made for somewhat flat entrances. -An unintroduced mariachi rock band played on the balcony a few times to segue in and out of commercial breaks. -There were extremely few interviews or promos to provide context to storylines. -A few actresses from GLOW, then later Vanilla Ice showed up for a few minutes to be "celebs in the crowd." While there were some fun moments, the lack of big matches and any context made for an odd experience. We're used to stuff like Pro Wrestling Guerilla which was a whole different level of excitement.
Lucha underground was awesome and had tons of stars. They had decent storylines and decent stables as well as the holy shit moments we were missing. The atmosphere was perfect and the commentators being both ex wrestlers helped make it what it was. Vampiro has had quite a life and accomplishment and done tons of good.
7:25 Ok, so... Because of a really stupid plot that went nowhere fast, LU borrowed a few people from Stardom for a night. They are Mayu Iwatani, Iyo Sky, and Kairi Sane. I don't remember their names in LU, and frankly, neither did anyone else.
Also also, Dante Fox vs Killshot (The big one) was called The Hell of War. It was a best of three with each match being more brutal than the last. Almost immediately after which they were paired with Mack for a trios title match.
Have you heard that LUCHA BROS have signed a multi year contract in WWE? I hope they elevate the tag division and be allowed to do what they did in Lucha underground.
* The guy in the green is Dragon Azteca jr, now better known as Rey Horus * Mil Muertes is El Mesias and Ricky Banderas * Drago is now Dios Del Inframundo * Marty the Moth was known for WWE Tough Enough as Martin Casaus and now wrestles again under that name * Pindar is Steve Pain * Dezmond X is now Wes Lee * Checkers Guy was known as El Bunny and now known as Mascarita Sagrada * Reklusa is Chelsea Green * Vibora is Luchasaurus * Mariposa is Cheerleader Melissa * Captain de la Cruz is B-Boy * Garza jr. is now Angel * Doku is Kairi Sane * Hitokiri is Iyo Sky * Yurei is May Iwatani
Yeah Paul London, Killer Kross (as thr White Rabbit) and the checkered bodysuit guy were the rabbit tribe, Kobra Moon, Vibora (Luchasaurus/Killshot), Drago, and the other reptile looking guy were the reptile tribe and Marty "The Moth" Martinez and Mariposa, (and I think a third member, I could be wrong) were the moth tribe
BEST WRESTLING SHOW EVER...but only watching the matches as great as they are you miss out on the best aspect of the show IMO which is the stories and the amazing cinematics which while others have tried to replicate in some ways no one has ever come close to LU both in writing and cinematics , the way they weaved stories into other stories and built and built was amazing with such lore and depth to characters that that blow any other wrestling show outta the water before or after and Skip Chaisson is to thank for that (as far as the cinematics go) and he is Robert Rodriguezs right hand man and also here is a great tid bit for you the Pentagon everyone knows and loves was created by him...he was the guy that had the idea to give pentagon the bone face paint etc because Penta wore his mask prior to LU with none of that he was just a guy in a mask.
Nah, Bron was obviously studying his uncle Scott Steiner and the same goes for Brian Cage. The fallaway moonsault slam is one of Scott's signature moves and the Drill Claw is Scott's old finisher the Steiner Screwdriver.

That killshot vs. Dante fox match was the most insane thing I have ever seen especially with all the stuff involving glass
The spots in Lucha Underground are INSANE! Really wish they were still around
PENTA snapping arms brings a joy to me; also the gear Kairi and Iyo are wearing on RAW is inspired by Black Lotus Triad in Lucha Underground. And Iyo pinned Pentagon Jr as well.
Lucha Underground always come up with one of the most creative wrestling moves of all time.
The Cage reversing the doomsday device into the power slam is an old Rick Steiner classic so technically Bron was studying from who Cage studied.
I remember Karrion Kross was the White Rabbit in a group with Paul London in Lucha Underground
@@coreytom6125 omg me toooo
Rabbit tribe
Jeff Cobb was Matanza Cueto, the brother of Dario Cueto (the owner of the Temple) whom he'd kept locked in a basement for all of season 1.
Shame they didn’t show the leg kicks from Penta to Io… they were brutal
The guy in the checkered bodysuit is El Saltador, but i don't think they've ever disclosed his real identity.
Lucha Underground was absolutely one of the best wrestling shows I've ever watched! The matches was insanely awesome!! I really wish they would bring the show back

Swerve vs Fox was my favorite match ever in Lucha Underground.
The tribes was a fun concept in LU but season 4 introduced a new force in the promotion
Honestly Bron wasn't studying lucha underground, his dad used to do it all the time

this show was like a saturday morning cartoon for me. Always wanted to tuned in and always wanting more.
Another great video conman167💥💥🔥
Yes after that brutal match Killshot and Fox were in a trio with The Mack (Willie Mack's LU name.)
The Killshot Dante Fox Match was 2 out of 3. First Blood Match followed by a No DQ Match and than an Ambulance Match.
It was a three stages of hell match but basically what you said
@@TeangeloJackson yep
Had to take a break from car detailing to watch this episode❤❤❤ by the way that wasn't Elvis that was Paul London

Penta and Io segment was so so good

Also, the person under the checkerboard is El Mariachi Loco.
Also also, Dante Fox vs Killshot (The big one) was called The Hell of War. It was a best of three with each match being more brutal than the last. Almost immediately after which they were paired with Mack for a trios title match.
They use sound effects if someone's arm was "broken".
Actually the powerslam that Cage does @12:50 was done by Bron's dad against the Headshrinkers at either WM or Summer Slam years ago.
you think Lucha Underground is crazy you should check out best moves of CZW
Everybody in Lucha Underground had their cakes, there wasn't a single wasted talent in that roster.

* Garza jr. is now Angel
* Doku is Kairi Sane
* Hitokiri is Iyo Sky
* Yurei is May Iwatani
think of this craziness the lucha bros in damage ctrl
Killshot and dante fox teamed for the trios titles the next episode I think and they won them
Yeah Paul London, Killer Kross (as thr White Rabbit) and the checkered bodysuit guy were the rabbit tribe, Kobra Moon, Vibora (Luchasaurus/Killshot), Drago, and the other reptile looking guy were the reptile tribe and Marty "The Moth" Martinez and Mariposa, (and I think a third member, I could be wrong) were the moth tribe

matanza queto (brother of the owner) also asuka was also there
"That deserves an ewww"😂
Let's start a petition to bring lucha underground back
15:25 was insane.
Pindar (the sort of crocodile looking one with the vest) is Steve Pain
Sami callihan= Psycho Jeremiah
I used to switch from WWE to watch Lucha, but it didn't air again, and I was angry.
That was Iqo Sky in the black
Lucha underground was were I became a fan of Pentagon. Kinda disappointed how he was used in Aew
IDK how some of these modern wrestlers wont be crippled at an early age ,
7:29 That’s IYO Sky
Can’t wait for Rey vs penta 2
Is it any wonder how evil Swerve is in no DQ matches after seeing that
His first and only CZW Cage of Death match against Joe Gacy and Rickey Shane Page for example
“Elvis Man” is actually Paul London.
The announce team is mat striker and vampero if you have not noticed yet
that was not el torito that was mascarita sagrada
Season 4 is... fine. Like, not great. Not like season 2 or 3... But still a good time for the most part.
Yes
Where is smackdown live reaction
Yes Sami Callihan wrestled for LU under the name Jeremiah Crane
That's Ethan page
Nah, Bron was obviously studying his uncle Scott Steiner and the same goes for Brian Cage. The fallaway moonsault slam is one of Scott's signature moves and the Drill Claw is Scott's old finisher the Steiner Screwdriver.
They use to be a tag team
Monstern Matanza
The girl figting Mil was Sexy Star and she is now blacklisted from pro wrestling

Watch full match Black lotus triad vs Pentagon
He is in mlw
Mexican ECW
I never understood why Lucha Underground had Jack Swagger on it. He was never a good fit.
Hito kieri
Seasons 1-3 were excellent but season 4 fell off just and was a bitter disappointment
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
10:24 Speak for yourself lol I want IYO, Kairi and Asuka since Mayu isn't in WWE to have rematch with Penta.
