- Epilepsy warning!
Music written by Ville Kallio (Consumer Softproducts).
"Death ending" is not the actual name of the track as it was not included in the OST, so I decided to give this video the most obvious title possible. It plays at the end of the final level, "Trauma loop". It is also known as "The 3rd ending".
I extracted the music from the game using Dragon unpacker.
When you realize you're called the Cruelty Squad not because of how you kill or your methods, but rather because no one is able to die, so you just resort to unspeakable cruelty to "sway" people and their opinions.
jesus fuck
Love this game
@Bruno Leandro you got it mayn
@brunoleandro6987holy shit.
What's crazy is that this seems to be the best ending because you give life meaning
In a normal game this sounds like you went off the grid and slaughtered everyone but in this game you are a stock market god And know one can stop you
The end of your life will give it no meaning. We don’t live in a fairytale. The end of your life will be only tangentially related to the rest.
@@ieatgarbage8771 yeah, that’s the point. In the world of qruelty squad where no one dies, no one has purpose. It’s just a numbers go up on the stock market. By dying, you’ve created a tangible path that you’ve followed to reach this end point.
@@dr.preben7542 all paths are tangible to reach that end point. It’s not a path, it’s eternal life with a cutoff. No matter when you die, you’re stuck with the same life throughout
@@ieatgarbage8771 You're not stuck with a life if you're dead. You have peace.
This is like Gorbino's quest, this is the Gorbino's quest of music.
I wish it ran on a different engine. If I didn't spend all my money on chunko pops I could actually run it.
@@The15231 should have invested it all in the bio currency market
@A pile Of cocaine What about investing in gorbino's quest to invest more in gorbino's quest it's not a scam it's just knowing the cracks in the game market
Like the game's overall aesthetic, you can't be this "wrong" on accident. The world of Cruelty squad is the squicky, gunk-clogged, logical endpoint of unchecked LIFE. An eternity of growth, excess, waste, and filth. The happiest ending you can hope for is the maddeningly unknowable non-reality of DEATH; the antithesis of all you've been programmed to want, an ending that the specially-engineered genetic waste pit you call a body, Provided Courtesy of Cruelty Squad Inc, will fight to its last phlegm-choked breath. (And then they stick you in the reconstructor.)
Pretty sure to get this ending, you dont have your mutations. So even then, this is as pure as pure gets.
@@mezmezzy1870 technically if you kill the limit chancellor and restart you can beat it with them
@@MiniMinotaur675 yeah but you are better off making a mad dash for the orb on the first run if you make it that far lol
Evolution and stagnation are not different things.

A point in the horizon, a melting scene from your childhood
your mortality is showing
Uhmmm, your mortality is showing honey, yikes.
I long for the day when my child will hear ''Cruelty Squad'' and think ''Childhood''

Perfect music to listen to while investing in the stock market on your death bed. 10/10
Ceo mindset
I would love to be able make music so mind bogglingly vile.
As you play, you start to realize this isn't just some artistic style thats meant to be bad on purpose.
It's bad on purpose to represent a world that is utterly terrible with no saving.
Ending 1 is you trying to fix it, but to no avail. Killing a part of death, the world turns even more hopeless. It seems good at first, you awake in a new world... But it's the same.
Ending 2 is you abusing the world to gain power. You kill the CEO of Cruelty Squad, and you're now the new CEO. You own the world. You embrace how horrible it is and continue making it worse.
And the final ending, represents after gaining power. You're basically a god now. But even with infinite power, you have still no meaning. This world still has no meaning.
So you try and fix the world again.
This time, by destroying it.
All of the world march into death, as their lives were already meaningless. The world willingly comes to an end for it was never worth saving. You let go of the world of utter cruelty and restart everything. Maybe there'll be something new. Something better.
Maybe, we can go back to our golden age.
I can't believe I just played this on my loudspikers on full volume. My ears are transforming, my existence is gaining negative value, my brain is starting to emit melting noises, my cat is laughing... everything is beautiful
how many weeds did you smoke

Ah yes, protein shakes to my ears. Inspired to embrace death and overcome life itself. Human sacrifice is what the world goes round. Remember, CEO mindset.
Did you see the leadhead video?
"The living organism, in a situation determined by the play of energy on the surface of the globe, ordinarily receives more energy than is necessary for maintaining life; the excess energy (wealth) can be used for the growth of a system (e.g., an organism); if the system can no longer grow, or if the excess cannot be completely absorbed in its growth, it must necessarily be lost without profit; it must be spent, willingly or not, gloriously or catastrophically."
-Georges Bataille, The Accursed Share: An Essay on General Economy
Sounds like the Marxist concept of over production leading to a falling rate of profit. They believe that the world wars were a way to get rid of all this excess production and restart the economy from a better more profitable position. After all someone has to rebuild.
This is like Gorbino's quest, this is the Gorbino's quest of life.
This is like Gorbino's quest, this is the Gorbino's quest of life.
That sounds like a collective scream of billions of neurons, that slowly disconnect with each other, as the inevitable neurological catastrophy takes place. So monstrous and painful, but so beautiful at the same time. An anthem for the Golden Age.
I.e -D E A T H- _Value_
Gave this song a listen and now all the milk in my fridge is bad :/
@ToeTruck a beautiful fucking milk ape
Cant get this music out of my head. It’s just so intense, chaotic and abrasive yet triumphant and melodic at the same time. And man the ending it accompanies. The way everyone walks towards death. Morbid but beautiful. The one moment you and everyone else are united to one thing in that game. Like they all finally agree on something that kind of makes sense.
Immortality is the curse. There has to be an ending.
That's what's great about this "true ending" to Cruelty Squad; there's no ultraviolence, no people exploding if they don't move out of the way, no obtuse encouragement by "LIFE" itself to climb to the top... this ending is people remembering the cruciality of dying.
Giving up your seat for the next guy.
Jumping off the mortal coil you fell onto by random chance.
Becoming fertiliser for the future rather than stagnating in an eternal present.
I'm so happy I base my entire personality around this band
The value of life is negative.
The balance of being is rotated by 38 degrees.
Fleshy primordial bodies sluggishly roll down the slope.
Only you slide up, with a celestial step.
You become beautified, a saintly figure
Your pristine idiocy reveals a safe path through the impenetrable fog of Life.
I think this is proof that the things you enjoy are absolutely related to wherever you are in life
>when you take the bataille pill
Ah yes this is what i soaked 30 hours into
A headache
Love it
The music, the text, the images, the quotes and everything after trauma loop will either personally make or break cruelty squad for you with just one of 3 endings
I however, enjoy dismantling not just capitalism, but the universe itself, peeling at life until it ends, it becomes negative by 38 degrees
I peel at an onion (life and this old world)
After I'm done peeling a new world is made, no cruelty squad, no divine light, no ceo mindset

I've got to breathe to stay alive and
One four two nine seven eight
Feels like I'm gonna' suffocate

This skin that turns to blister blue
Shoulders toes and knees
I'm thirty-eight degrees
The bit when the song starts playing the organ like bit( 0:43 ) is when the death symbol was shown it actually has a hint of actual musical clarity and sanity in this game. Probably because of the meaning of this ending.
Giving life meaning by re-applying the timer to it.
Everyone arguing about the true meaning of this game, when it’s so obvious that this game is just about what happens when
I have ascended to wealth and status beyond those who would employ me
*I AM A FLESH AUTOMATON ANIMATED BY NEUROTRANSMITTERS.*
Actually a good song and the ending is worth, not even on the soundtrack yet
quite possibly the least hideous song in this entire game
The song that plays when you have the rain hat equipped is genuinely beautiful, it's the only thing untouched by the rot in the whole game
The suburbs, the house and the casino soundtracks were also actually normal
none of the songs were hideous

A point in the horizon, a melting scene from your childhood. Your mortality is showing. A frantic drift towards nothing, biology doomed to an infinite recursive loop. Teeth with teeth with teeth. Take a bite. Serene scene of a coastal town, warmth of the sun. Bitter tears. Lust for power. This is where you abandoned your dreams. You are a high net worth individual, an expanding vortex of pathetic trauma. Finally a beautiful fucking nerve ape. A pure soul is born, its neurotransactions stutter into being, 30583750937509353 operations per nanosecond. Beauty eludes your porous mind.
The value of Life is negative. The balance of being is rotated by 38 degrees. The surface is full of cracks, a turgid light shines through. Fleshy primordial bodies sluggishly roll down the slope. Only you slide upwards, with a celestial step. You become beautified, a saintly figure. Your pristine idiocy reveals a safe path through the impenetrable fog of Life. Your dull sword cuts through the weak tendons and membranes of the garden of corruption. Sit on the throne of contentment and ferment. Inspect the eternal blue skies of your kingdom. You come to a realization. You pick up an onion and begin peeling.
Onion layer one. Onion layer two. Onion layer three ... Onion layer n^n. Aeons have passed and the onion is fully peeled. Nothing remains. It's perfect. You get lost in the point that remains where the onion used to be. Synaptic cascade, neurological catastrophe. The point becomes infinitely dense, the universe condenses into a unicellular being. It screams sin. It craves happiness. It's done with this world. It tries to commit suicide but fails. Sad and pathetic mess. You feel pity and disgust but in a way only a being of pure grace can. In your violent mercy you terminate the worldlife.

Eternal life, infinite growth and forever existence are just fancy and polite ways of describing cancer. Unless something can change meaningfully or end, it just stagnates. The world of cruelty squad, with transactions being a baked in fundamental of the earth like air or water is an example of what happens when nothing is checked and nothing is ever allowed to cease, even if it and everything else wants too.
Yes, that was the first triagon. It created constant meaningless growth.

This song invokes the coming of death and the end of the cycle. Though violent and chaotic, it ends with the merciful death of the universe and the creation of a new one; a universe with life and death, giving meaning and purpose to life.

this goes hard, no buts no caveats no complaints. this is just unironically good. i am at a point in my life
I fucking hate the Death ending but it says a lot about this game with how you can just infinitely revive so that life has no value. Everybody comes back when you finish a mission. Nobody is ever truly dead. It makes me shiver. (this music is chaos)
Actually there's a few npc's you'll never find again if you kill them like the fisherman.
I know that, but they probably never revive because they don't have enough to get revived. If you die in any difficulty above Power In Misery, you have to pay a fee of 500$ to revive. They probably don't have that much money, and the targets always revive when a mission starts because they have enough money to use whatever you have to use to revive.
That's why I use the Parasonic C-3
wasn't the death ending supposed to be the "good ending"? i mean, you're bringing death back, thus making life valuable again.
sure, you have to pay a fee, but power in misery shows that they're already developing ways to make it even cheaper.
@@bit_ronic yeah this dude doesn't know what he's talking about this is literally the best ending

I like how this game starts out like some anti-corporate dystopia message that redditors and communists would cream at, but it devolves into something so incomprehensible and world-destroying that the only thing we can latch onto is gorbino’s quest instead
It's not incomprehensible if you play through the game, they explain it in the house mission
you do realize that the stuff at the end relates to the quote at the very end of this game, which is a very comprehensible philosophy that was created by a french Marxist and is where the idea of both the reality decaying influence of the capitalist system and the previous cyberpunk themes come from, they are two parts of the same overall message.
@@cookingwithtool159 where do you get off calling Bataille a marxist when the guy expressly rejected marxism on multiple separate instances?
