When For Rent released I used 64x64 lots to build neighborhoods and playing like this has been way better than single home on 1 lot. Having areas around the lot like woodworking/flower arranging shed , play areas for children, etc, for all to use has been great and more realistic.
also i'm so excited for this because it's actually so insanely fun to have multiple families or generations on one lot with the rent pack, it's my new favorite way to play since she made the horse neighborhood!
I love watching your longer stream content because it really shows that even when you're great at building in the sims, you're still allowed and encouraged to change your mind and make minute adjustments for everything. I always feel like it takes me ages to just do the most basic of things, but I need to remember that the videos of people building are always edited down. ❤

The conversation about mailboxes is so intriguing! When I've lived in standalone houses they have always been in smaller towns so community mailboxes was the thing but there was one time that I lived in A standalone house in a larger town so there was instead of a mailbox at the end of the driveway a mailbox beside the door on the front porch like that snowy escape one, and when I lived in a duplex there was that same kind of mailbox thing because the duplex was also in the bigger town, so it depends on location big time
I've always been in on the Blue Suburbian joke but never making it. I've always been neutral on Blue Suburbians but something about the ones in this neighborhood I'm starting to see the light. These feel so cozy and homey.

I lived in an HOA, I got fined for having a bucket in my enclosed porch. It had salt for winter because our steps were extremely slick. Or because the grass wouldn't grow(we bought it without grass) but no matter how much I tried planting grass it wouldn't grow. And then we had a specific place we had to put our trash cans and it was beside the steps that went to the porch and in summer I could smell it so I just paid the fine for that. Moved 2 yrs later.
Watching this while in Montana, where our Temps are currently -50s/-60s (with windchill)😂. I truly love the snow, it's so quiet and peaceful....and the crunch while walking is one of my favorites. Of course, when it's that cold, it's hard to keep the older houses warm and pipes from freezing.

Haha yeah I’m the office manager at a landscape/remodeling company and I will never live in a HOA. Nothing like fight with the hoa over paying us for a tree we planted less than an inch from where they said we could plant it that matches all the other properties. I have also had pics sent complaining with measuring tape showing it snowed 1.75 inches- we typically plow at about 2 in lol they didn’t want to pay for cleaning all the drives and their Main Street btw they were on a seasonal contract that they pay a lump sum for the whole 5 months we have snow smh. Lady we charge a flat fee every month no matter if we plow one time or 100 times lol 🤦♀️ you have already paid us for the month 😂she was not getting it I had to like say the same answer over 3 separate email and then called her she was not getting it lol. I hate hoa’s
Watching this made me feel obligated to build a blue suburban so I went to Brindleton Bay on the lot across from the vet clinic and built a blue suburban bungalow (because I literally never build bungalows) and it gave me so much joy over the lilsimsie energy ❤
you should make an 'intentional community' next. A commune. lol My friends and I joke about buying a bunch of land and doing that ourselves. With seperate houses but each person having their own role in the community. like gardening or animals. yours can be offgrid simple living. pretend you make the clothes all that. Could be fun
If you wanna be happy looking at colourful things, look up old town houses in St. John's and Port aux Basques. The bay NL said COLOUR and I love it! However I live in an area where most of the houses have white horizontal panel siding, black roofs and red painted decks, which is nice and all but I would like to live in a house of colour.

Everyone parks that way there.” Like that was a valid reason for parking like that. They all got told off and forced to stop parking on both side of the street.

In my apartment building, we have package lockers. The mailman will put a key to the locker your package is in inside your mailbox. Our mailboxes are in the front lobby,and the package lockers are next to our elevators. I live in Northern Minnesota.

Being a Newfie I'm used to mostly winter so I would not survive in Florida like I start overheating at 20°C (68°F) and although I don't like the cold I can with stand it really well but I'm not good in the summer so when we have heat waves I'm genuinely done for so I don't feel jealous of your weather except for the fact that you know better visibility when it's not constantly snowing lol 😂😂
Having a mailbox where you can send letters right at your house seems like a verry amarican thing. There is no such thing in sweden. We only have one big mailbox that everyone uses to send mail😅
