Best thing about any peep into production for me is seeing how samples "sound pretty good" or "not bad"... I spend so much time trying to work out how these guys get things bang on perfect, and it really helps to see that they're just mucking about with bits and pieces, thinking it sounds pretty good and move on to the next bit. Bit of a confidence boost! Wicked vid!

Plus an all new scene rose from its ashes, where it seems trust is a big factor! Though there were labels before Lowlife, they were the ones that seemed to bring the majority of the talent through, along with YNR, but both were intrinsically linked anyway

Braintax ran LowLife records. lots of the money that was generated from record sales and shows was embezzled which had a detrimental effect on the growth of the industry at a very critical point. many artists simply couldn't afford to continue, any the marketing budgets that were needed to push the genre into the mainstream were in Braintax's pocket. As the artists on the label started to question where the money was actually going and what the "great vision" actually was, he took the money and moved to australia. the UK Hip-Hop industry (as it was then) never recovered and all the great rappers of the label didn't ever achieve fame or fortune despite all the components having been there.

Most of us got quarterly statements that outlined what was sold and how much we were owed. If any money was withheld it was probably due to some kind of issue with something.
