Featuring Gordon Lightfoot, Dwayne Gretzky, Jordan Rutledge, Andy Kim, Ron Sexsmith, Terra Lightfoot and Dave Hodge... At Tawse Winery in Vineland, Ontario Canada (Summer 2017)
Imagine being able to sing his song, but not only that, singing it with him standing next to you! What a miracle that would be for anyone who is his truest fan.
Damn...so proud to be a CANADIAN when I see this stuff....Gordon with another one of our under rated song geniuses...Ron Sexsmith....The glass of wine spoke volumes...Fantastic..
I'm not Canadian , but I grew up in Bellingham, Washington , not far from the Canadian border. I've travelled through every province in Canada, and yes Canada is a great nation, filled with great people. And of course, Gordon Lightfoot is one of the greatest singer-songwriters in history.
Spectacular and fun to watch performance! Really digging it, Mr. Lightfoot! Rest well and thank you for the memories that are attached to each and every tune.
Is it just me or does Gordon lightfoot write songs that are the easiest songs to sing along to it's like u can't help urself but to sing along with them bless his artistic heart
Gordon Lightfoot Canadian legend. Song writer of the very highest order. A legend. I have enjoyed listening to his music from the 70's. His albums are a source of pleasure every time I listen to them.
@@ArthriticBabe Nice to meet you too. Lightfoot's music is global. I was first drawn to his music by "Cotton jenny". His masterpiece has to be "Canadian railway trilogy". Which song first attracted you?
One of my favorite artists. Im so glad he had people who care about him and could pull do something this magnificent not just for him but for people who are fans. Thank You
Seen Gord 5 times, we can see now that he enjoys stepping back out of the spotlight to watch and listen to other great musicians having so much fun with his life's work. What a beautiful working retirement it must be watching a lifetime of hard work live on like this. Long Live Gordon Lightfoot. 😇
gordon is a treasure, I saw him 2 times, I listened to this as a kid in my parents car when it was on the radio in the 70's,....it is as good today as it was then.
God gave gave us booze and music and prayer to help us make it through life's despairs and the grind of it all...I don't drink anymore, but I still have music and prayer. God Bless Gordon Lightfoot! The dude with the wine glass had a pretty good voice, and cocking that mic down some, brought Gordon's voice on strong there at the end!!! Great Job People 👏 👍 👌
We were there and it was an amazing tribute to Gordon. We took our old albums and he was so gracious afterwards that he came out and autographed them. It was a beautiful, hot, windy day while sipping wine in a vineyard.
Listen to his less known albums of the 70’s such as Don Quixote, Old Dan Records and Cold on The Shoulder ….masterpieces. His mastery of song and voice was unmatched.
I’ve found more layers in this song since I heard it than any other. I sing it when I’m sad, when I’m happy and even though rare moments of the serene.
GDday,2 you. This Song waa Awsum Classic Back in in the 70's. 👍🎵🎵🤠🎤🎸❤Really Classic,& Still is on the Radio.👍🎵📻👍. Gordon Lightfoot was Popular Back then.& Very Great.👍🤠🙂🌼🎵🎵🎵🎸🎤
What a magical moment. What an amazing performance. I guess this is one of the last times Gordon performed the song. The power of the song is in the voices in the chorus - and here he receives them in full force. But also the four stanzas were done perfectly. you guys are great. Thanks!
Songwriter legend. Great Songwriters, Actors, Musicals etc are Canadian. I love you guys. . Ps I am not the singer. But I live close to Canadian Border and visited alot. ❤❤❤❤🇨🇦 🇺🇸
Awesome job everyone fantastic looked like a blast to be up on stage playing and singing with him and for him. Awesome been playing this over and over what gift performance
Spent quite a few Friday and Saturday nights dancing to this song at a local club Great cover band but I still get a little nostalgic when I hear this, my wife and a friends wife really made the nights memorable and romantic.
A true legend I hope he lives and performs for a long time. I’ve been admiring his music for years before I even knew his name which should be taught in elementary school.
OMG. This is sad. They didn’t even let him play a guitar. He can’t sing anymore. They had to sing instead. Thank you Gordon Lightfoot for the music you made. God Bless you! 👏🏻🎸
Not sure but think it was a tribute to him, it was not a gordon lightfoot concert, I heard he is going to be touring in Canada this summer. Caught his show about 5 years ago and it was great, had a great sence of humor and the music was great, sure his voice was not as strong as perhaps when he was in his prime but he was on key and still was superb, Canadian treasure.
Cathy Smith, the onetime girlfriend of singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot who might be best remembered for inspiring the hit song “Sundown” had she not met up with John Belushi at the Chateau Marmont on March 5, 1982, died August 18. She was 73. Her death was reported by Canada's The Globe and Mail.Aug 27, 2020
I Love the way that he stepped up and then stepped back,
That's grace.
Imagine being able to sing his song, but not only that, singing it with him standing next to you! What a miracle that would be for anyone who is his truest fan.
That had to be absolutely intimidating as hell! I don't think I could ever do it.
I'm from Mexico and I wish I would have known his music decades ago. God bless Gordon Lightfoot.
@@josemoreno104 No te preocupes amigo, es eterno y todo está ahí para ti ahora.
Great Song....

From youth to maturity..... this is the happiest that I’ve seen Mr Lightfoot singing/sharing his song. “Acts 20:35”
Gordon sang and performed as much as he could in his old age until the end. We can only hope as much!
The most underrated and underappreciated artists of all time.
Is it just me or does Gordon lightfoot write songs that are the easiest songs to sing along to it's like u can't help urself but to sing along with them bless his artistic heart
Indeed💖✝️
He writes catchy tunes. Easy to remember so we sing them over and over. I’m sorry he left us May 1, 2023. 😢

What strikes me is I'm willing to bet no one on that stage was even alive when he recorded that song. That's what music does, connects generations.
