Yes, here he is extending himself to be heard. It's a difficult moment in this opera for him, as the orchestra is very loud. He sang this part better for instance at Met. But anyway his beautiful voice, personality, stage charisma and charm are rewarding...
@@songelosodelzefiro2102 0:30 the orchestra is quite soft at this point, it's interesting to hear how he gets a bit more punch as the orchestra gets louder (4:30) and then subsides again (5:58). I'm glad the Met performance was more consistent.
Oh this is NOTHING. Go find his Il Mio tesoro from the 2021 don giovanni. Literally had blow up doll arms taped to his shoulders for some reason... Oh or literally anything that appeared in Hoffman. My god I thought i was hallucinating...Offenbach was very clearly deeeeeeeeply senile when he wrote it....
