Indeed. Not sure if the people of Machakos realise how lucky they are. They should take this opportunity because 💯% he will transform Machakos. If he was running in Nairobi, would've voted for him.😏
Nzioka Waita is by far the best man for the job. I saw his manifesto- He is very clear on what the problems are in Machakos and what requires to be done, and based on his past record both in private sector and public service, he will deliver. Good people of Machakos, you are lucky to have this man on the ballot, if you want transformation in Machakos, Nzioka will bring it👌🏾 If you want politics as usual; empty promises, make a choice between Wavinya, Muthama or Current DG👍🏾 Your future is in your hands.
Wavinya is answering her own questions..🤷🏾♂️ The panelists should do a better job of putting the aspirants in line in this regard ; we don't want to hear what they have memorised.
That's the only solution they know. Would you be knowing any other solutions, so that you share them. At times the solutions are with the people, and not necessarily the leaders.
@@majinasdo-it-yourselfdiy3905 ignorance shouldn't be an excuse to neanderthal solutions.... The water problem isn't a county problem, it's a national problem. The goal should be to have running tap water in every household connected to the county water connection without any rationing and with efficient management at the lowest level (previously kanjo) ....Kuweka maji Kwa mitungi should not be a thing in any society in 2022, leave alone 2032. Now that we have identified the goal, we look at the possible water sources that can drive us towards that goal and channel our main resources there. Wavinya is well acquainted with our possible water sources, having been the minister for H20...I don't blame her, I blame every regime that hasn't focused on water provision and electricity as their main goals....
@@majinasdo-it-yourselfdiy3905 Waita is a brilliant fellow. Apart from the other lady, who was deflecting straight forward questions and trying to push her useless water agenda....I think all the other leaders in this interview defended why they are in their respective positions well...Nevertheless, we should stop this mindset of trying to please the common mwananchi with miniscule short-term solutions....We can suffer for a minute for a long term goal...
At the end of this part 3, depending on each candidate's response I wouldn't want to continue with Rose and Waita on further interviews. Muthama, Maliti, and Wavinya are better positioned for this job.
Wavinya cannot win the hearts of the good people of Machakos - she has vied for this seat 2 times in 2013 and 2017, under different parties and lost. The reason is that Kenyans are smart and can tell when somebody is authentic and when they aren't. As regards Muthama and the DG, these 2 alongside Wavinya are people who have held elective positions in Machakos over the years, and failed to address the same issues under discussion in this debate. What more do we need to hear from the DG who has held the position for 10 years, you want to consider him for another 5/10yrs...to do what?😅 sorry to say but you are lost in your reasoning 🤷🏾♂️ Your preferred 3 have one thing in common, they are Politicians - make empty promises to woo votes, and once they get in, they begin investing in private endeavors using County money. Enough is enough, its time to have a person who will use the money to transform Machakos and make it the envy of other counties. Nzioka in his lifetime both in the private sector and in public service has an unshakeable reputation for integrity and keeping his word. Siasa kando, he's the best option, and it's not even close!🙆🏾♂️
Unfortunately none matches Alfred Mutua. I know he will not receive the credit he deserves until he leaves the office ndiyo wanamachakos watajua the guy really did great work for them. Anyway, since mnalilia wembe chukueni.......
Gov. Mutua has served 2 terms, constitutionally that's as much as he can do. Without a doubt he has brought life to Machakos, considering how bad it was in Ukambani Generally for many years under the umbrella of Kalonzo. Machakos was just a dry unproductive area, Mutua has changed a lot of that. Having said that, I disagree that none of the aspirants can match up to him. I think Nzioka Waita can do a great job if given the opportunity. One of the greatest challenges faced by a Governor is resistance/obstruction from MCAs and other politicians. These primarily are relational issues, and one has to possess the wisdom and skills to devise strategies that will keep these tensions at a minimum where possible so that their plans for the county are not derailed. Nzioka has these skills both from his past in Safaricom, and public service as the intermediary between National government and county governments - I saw a clip on UA-cam where he was addressing the council of governors discussing it - some National projects like electricity could not proceed in a county unless the bureaucracy primarily driven by politics and power games is not handled properly. In as much as we don't get the details, it is a Difficult job to do. The environment for leadership is Never going to be smooth, vichwa ngumu lazima and one has to be ready for that. Nzioka is an experienced technocrat, he's not a politician, and that's what we need more of in public service if we want transformation in Kenya. Haki we need more patriots.😪
Rose just decided to not answer the question😟within the timeframe allocated. As a leader, one needs to learn to listen to what the people are asking, and include that in their plans. Bottom up approach 🙂
Again without politics, in Machakos even in my village which is so marginal in the county has sufficient boreholes and I am sure if the water does not come out sometimes it has to be addressed just like any other arising issue since we have county engineers who can investigate the issue and give solutions considering the urgency. I am opposed to the idea of leaders wanting to promise miracle solutions in a non-spiritual environment. Waita somehow exposes a lack of experience or somehow sweet talking the voters, boreholes dry up all the time and you cant tame mother nature with limited resources and time.
I read Nzioka Waita's manifesto and it goes into a lot of detail on how he will address the issue of water, hospitals, roads, etc - very specific. If you take a moment to read it, you'll note that the solutions are quite practical and doable. Wavinya is the one saying that she will put a mega dam in every ward😅 these are now the miracles you're referring to.. This is a flat out lie, and that's what politicians do best.

Water sustainability begins with healthy watershed ecosystems... Dams and boreholes will fail.
Ni WaitanaSuluhu fullstop
Maliti appears funny by saying boreholes are failing because they are shallow meaning the contractor did shoddy job under his watch
