- G'day and welcome back to the last episode of capturing the light. First of all thank you to all who watched all my video's in this series. Thanks a bunch for that :)
With this painting I decided that I will redo the foreground. I'm not happy with it. So I'm sorry I could not produce a brilliant painting as the last one in this series.
I'm going to try something new and exciting next so stay tuned. Once again a big thank you and I will catch ya soon. Cheers :)

What a vibrant sunrise! I think you captured the essence of the morning light perfectly. Good job.👍
G'day Patrick, Thanks so much Mate. Yeah I nearly got a really good painting just got to fix the foreground. Happy painting Mate 🎨🎨👍
"G"day" from Texas Tez. You got him, "Pez" the pelican! Another great painting of course... always a happy thing to see you painting.
G'day Scott, Much appreciated Mate and yeah the Pelican was beautiful strolling along. So majestic. Yeah I will fix the shadows in the foreground as wasn't my best but live and learn hey. Happy painting Mate in beautiful Texas. Cheers Mate 🎨🎨👍
I’ve run into lots of puzzlements painting plein air- so much beauty out there
G'day Elizabeth, Thanks so much. Yeah there is hey. Nature never stops giving us something to paint that's for sure. Cheers 🎨🎨👍
I think you captured the light very well. I was born not far from there but have spent the last 40 years in the UK. It is still home and enjoy your videos. I am an oldy and still enjoy painting and you have inspired me to do plein air, when the weather here allows. keep it up.
G'day Ken, Wow that's awesome Mate you're a Coastie hey from here. Ain't it such a beautiful place hey around the Peninsula. I'd love to come to England and paint one day. The English countryside is a special place I feel. Go for it Mate once it warms up and allows it. I find the mornings are still on the coast that's why I paint early.
Thanks so much and much appreciated Mate. Cheers 🎨🎨👍
Brilliant composition was spot on love the hint of red in centre of tree enjoyed all these videos capturing a split moment in time. Thanks Tez for letting us come along.
G'day Sandra, Thanks so much and much appreciated. Yeah I like the composition but I'll just fix the shadows later but overall happy. Yeah it was a great series and I'll do another one soon. Happy painting this week Sandra, Cheers 🎨🎨👍
Spectacular! This is my favorite painting in your series!
I admire that you get up so early to paint this “light” series. And you also maintain a job during the week.👍
You set yourself a goal to do this series and you did it! I’m taking lessons! Thank you for the inspiration and this very successful series of paintings. Congratulations!😊
Looking forward to what you paint next!
(The pelican and surfers were an added bonus!😁)
G'day Nancy, Yeah actually I had a little spare time off work but most of the time I'm working and painting week in week out. I liked this painting but have to redo the shadows and foreground. Yeah the Pelican was a beauty hey. Happy painting Nancy 🎨🎨👍
Perfect light! Great work! 👍👍👍
G'day Andree, Thank you so much and much appreciated 🎨👍
Hi Tez, I enjoyed this video. You have definitely captured the light in this one. What I like about it
It's interesting with the tree and the bits and pieces in the foreground
The sunrise is beautiful. I am so pleased you painted it!
It was a nice spot to paint in and probably a bit easier to get to than your other locations. I am looking forward to your next series
G'day Pinklady, Thanks so much. I wasn't happy with the shadows in the foreground so I'll fix that but it's ok. Yeah what a sunrise and location hey. So much to paint here if you really look. I'd like to come back and try again one day. Yeah so easy to just park n paint. Thanks a bunch and happy painting this week. Cheers 🎨🎨👍
Beautiful as per usual Terry 🙌 can't wait for the next series.
G'day Jasmine, Thanks so much. Yeah it was fun I'll start another one soon I think. Cheers 🎨🎨👍
MacMasterful Tez. I really dig those strong directional shadows
G'day Rod, Thanks so much Mate. Yeah I'm going to redo them as it was lacking a touch. I find shadows always hard to do but I'll get there. Happy painting Mate 🎨🎨👍
Beautiful work again, love it ❤️👍
Thanks so much! Much appreciated 🎨🎨👍
Wonderful video and really appreciated this series. Lovely painting with that interesting composition lovely mate! My brother in law's brother is a lifeguard just where you are at there. Small world
G'day James, Thanks so much Bro. Ooh really at Macmasters? I think you mentioned Macmasters and Copacabana before to me. Yeah this place is really beautiful a special place I think. Happy painting James this week 🎨🎨👍
Eagerly awaiting new videos!
G'day JKM will do a video soon Mate. Cheers 🎨🎨👍
Boy that’s a tough one! Beautiful color! Please let us see how you change your fore ground- i cant imagine it. I thought about putting a bench across the foreground shadows to change the shadow but thats a real challenge you have! Great work though.
Thx Elizabeth, Yeah what I did was make the shadows a touch more earthly colour and broke up the sharp lines. It was a hard subject for me to get right. Yeah I should of brought the tree more down the painting and had less shadows. Cheers, Happy painting 🎨🎨👍
last of four, enjo
G'day Tony, Thanks so much Mate 🎨🎨👍
