I watched this show when it was on. I'm so not a Pink Floyd fan. But when Marty Casey go on stage, I wish I was there for him and him for me. I loved his version. He's also not bad on the eyes, at all.
Marty your vocals and the arrangement of this classic song are unchangeable! My wife and I watched this and knew you should have been the front man for inxs!
To this day, I still believe that INXS picked the wrong guy. Marty just had waaaaaaay more substance than JD ever could. You could see Marty's soul in his music. JD looked good and that was it. Glad Marty is kicking ass and proving everyone wrong with his music career.
Always a pleasure to watch Marty Casey's performances on Rockstar INXS, and he really rocked this song out! So great to see him on that show as that is how I found his band the Lovehammers who are badass Chicago rockers! Marty, Marty, Marty, oh yeah!

I remember watching this Tv program Rockstar INXS, Marty was my favourite n this cover by him is the best i have ever heard, Infact i loved this song more after this performance.
I remember this week on the show. INXS wanted him to do something where he had to stand still and not scream, because he was known to jump around and scream songs instead of singing them. I think he found a whole other voice inside him with this performance.
He did a great job, and ironically the lovehammers....the wall...hammers...just putting that out there. Pink Floyd fans are always appreciated, and covers like these are just great. :')
Marty should have won!!! Never bought tickets to see the winner, who"ever he was. Would have gotten tickets for Marty in a minute, He is awesomes!!!! Love his music, Marty and the Loverhammers, have his cd's but would love a cd of the INXS show with his music. canadian, Marty's the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly I'm glad JD won - because it means everyone who didn't win didn't have to go down that rabbit trail of destruction (don't get me wrong, I love INXS - but they had their time). People like Marty, MiG, Ty, Jordis, etc. got to do their own thing and shine because of the recognition they got on this show.
This was by far Marty's best performance. I thought he really was amazing. I must admit I loved mig but he was another fave of mine. I am still pissed jd won and not mig or marty they had way better voices.
He's with his band Lovehammers, that he was with prior to the show. They in fact have a new album coming out sometime this year. They play mostly in the Chicago area. They capitalized on his name after the show and changed their name to Marty Casey and The Lovehammers, they put out an album that was basically a best of from their previous albums. After that album they went back to their name Lovehammers and dropped the Marty Casey name. He definitely should have won this contest, instead of JD!
I remember when one of the girls on the show told Marty (at the very beginning of the show) that he may have a voice condition! I thought at the time....oh no..he won't be around long! Ha! She was wrong....he just has an awesome voice!
Actually, he does. He's now leading the group "Marty Casey and the Lovehammers" which features his own song, "Trees". It's a pretty good album. Check it out if you'd like some more of Marty. And I do think that he is better off, without INXS, because now J.D. is with them and everyone is fine the way they are.
I think this is the house band for The Voice now. Jordis Unga was on last year and this year Josh Logan (Supernova season) is on. Maybe Marty will surface one season on The Voice
