You should do a sample sale for your bags that you created to test your patterns that may not be perfect. Offer them at a reduced price and just be clear about the flaws. You'd be surprised at how quickly they sell. It allows people to support you that may not be able to afford a full priced bag.
You've probably already figured this out but cut your pieces bigger, quilt it, then cut to your pattern size. That will make sure your pattern piece is the right size because quilting does cause the pieces to shrink.
Thank you so much for the tip🫶🏽💖 I always thought quilting shrunk the pieces but could never really figure out for sure and this project definitely helped me realize that😭
This bag is AMAZING! Pleaseeee do it again! I would LOVE AND I MEAN LOVE… If you did this in a monochrome green or PINK! That would go crazy! Love your videos! Definitely want to buy one of your bags one day! 😍🩷❤️
I actually like that the corners don’t line up. I suggest that is how you write the pattern. The corners lined up are so pretty, but the misaligned look just feels a little edgier. It goes with the purse feet detail. The way you sewed the quilting it looks almost like leather. I love the added top panel, because I like those Boston bags with the zipper overlay on top and that is exactly what that panel is giving. When you said Cadillac Blues my first thought was Indigo Jackson. I was thinking those 70’s Blackxploitation films. They always had cool names and drove Cadillacs. Mistakes are just lessons!! You made a beautiful pattern. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!
Quilting should be done before you cut your pattern pieces out. Quilting always cause shrinkage. This bag looks amazing, flaws and all. It makes it one of a kind. Sell this one as a sample piece at a reduced price. Many people would love to support you by purchasing your samples. I only use Decovil heavy outside of the seam allowance. Decovil light with denim should have been pretty structured.
Omg I’ve never even thought to quilt before cutting it out😭 thank you!!! I’m gonna try next time 🥰 and I fuse my decovil outside of the seam allowance as well… I think I just got a little curious what the quality would be like if I used decovil heavy instead of the light and it ended up being a little too much 🫠
1, I loved the extra planet at top. 2, it's OK for the purse feet to be wonky a bit. Yours were OK. Also, cueved spikes at love Lola channel. 3 I would not in good conscious sell t g e b again without it matching up either. Do not ever feel the need to defend your work ethics. That is t g evreasin you get $800+ per bag. Yep it took time effort and supplies but you learned from it. Great video TFS and as always great work

Cut out the interfacing out of the seams to reduce the bulk
