jade has more features but for qr airgap seedsinger is a much nicer screen UI and and experience..i still use both though ..love the jade qr pin unlock for airgap so you dont have to scan a qr
Actually, I sent bitcoin VIA a companion app. The actual transaction is signed in the hardware wallet, Jade. Then the companion app broadcast it to the bitcoin blockchain. The private key to sign the transaction is never exposed to the Internet or the companion app.
No, the wallet you created in the Green Wallet is in a hot state. Not to say that Green wallet have leaked your seeds, but the purpose of the hardware wallet like Jade is to have your wallet or seeds be created from a cold state and have zero exposure to the Internet.
Hello: I have a Green Wallet and a Jade Wallet. When I send BTC to my Jade Wallet, it also shows up in the Green Wallet, which confuses me. Do I need a Green Wallet, if I'm only using Jade? Thank you in advance.
The Green wallet is the companion app to Jade. There are many companion wallet you can use such as Green, Blue or Sparrow. All the txs will be shown in the companion wallet. In fact, you don't even need to take out your Jade to receive bitcoin to it. The companion wallet can generate receiving address for it. But, it still good to check the address with the Jade. Note, you cannot send any txs from the companion wallet without Jade signing for it.
@@KFChan Thank you! I reset and started over. I had Green Wallet app with the seed phrase from Jade, thus basically had 2 wallets. I know have just the Jade and the interface of Green. NO Green Wallet app. Thanks for your help.
@@mstafford368 If you want cold storage on Jade, you need a companion app, can be Green or Blue or Sparrow. BUT make sure you do not key in the seed phrase into any of the software companion app.
Hi KF Chan, quick question, I have been auto sending my BTC to my Blockstream Green (Hot Wallet) with no issues, but I wanted to up my security with a Blockstream Jade (Cold Wallet), can I continue to auto send my BTC but to my Jade? or do I have to confirm all transactions to a Cold Wallet? or does the address always change?
Yes, you can auto send btc to Jade wallet without the need to take out the Jade wallet at all. For better monitoring, after you have created a new wallet/private key (they are referring to the same thing), you can export the xPub out to Green wallet or other bitcoin wallet to make it a Watch-only wallet. Then you can easily see any transactions coming in without needing to access the Jade hardware at all. Also, a watch-only wallet can create receiving address anytime you need to send bitcoin into it. It is better to use a new address for every transaction. Reusing bitcoin address can very easily compromise your privacy. In the bitcoin community, it is highly encouraged to use a new address for every transaction. You DO NOT NEED to reuse addresses at all.
1sat/vB! Good timing making this video before all the inscriptions shenanigans began.

I accidentally archived my last transaction receiving and I don’t know how to get coin from green to jade, and no real customer support.

So when u send BTC to a companion app, it’s locked in your blockchain address? Great video.

What if i slready have funds in my green wallet ? Do i enter it in my jade and bypass the setup process?

I accidentally deletted my blockstream app off my iphone. Can I just reload the app again and just set it up again? anything else I need to do?
Yes, just setup again, the most important thing is your seed phrase.
I already have the seed phrase. Do I need to create a new seed phrase?
@@Hunter_Modelo no need create new seed phrase. Choose restore or recover.
Hello KF Chan, do you know if it's possible to delete/remove an account from a wallet in Blockstream Green ?
yes, you can certainly remove/delete any accounts.
