Thank you so much Tim, those impress let’s are amazing and fantastic to. I really really enjoyed watching you show us all how this works. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
My wallet is lighter but I so wish many of these came in left and rights. All the feathers and laurels and any that lays one way would love a mirrored match. If it's a flat die you can often just flip it but embossing that's lost. Of course with the medalions here you don't need a left or right but so many you do. I have the pair of leaf's and both medallions shown here today too. It's like making metalic charms depending on the thickness and papers used. I just ordered the Sizzix Texture rolls in the metalics and thought I might play with some Kraft-tec too with these extra deep embossed and cutting dies. Amazing. MORE DESIGNS PLEASE. WITH left and rights too.
Many times I just use the dies w/o following guidelines. I like that you show the various results and how much of an impression you can get with water and 3 passes.
Tim these are genius. It would be awesome if you could make sea shell impresslits. I also love your 3-D embossing folders, they are so well sculpted. Would you consider doing a wolf head, a horse, a dolphin or, maybe a motorcycle? I love the look of gilding wax on the 3-D embossing. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us
OMG These are a iBIG WOW!! I can't wait to get this collection the look is Amazing and Breathtaking!! Thanks for your Outstanding presentation and samples!! Everything you share is Spectacular!! The look is Incredible!! YOU so ROCK!! Joan Smith
Whoa! Awesome! I understand why it's necessary to mist with water, but when I do sometimes it leaves water spots that don't go away, even if I use my heat tool to dry it. Any suggestions?
I am wondering how well the 3D impressits work with the Sizzix Surfacez-Texture Roll fabric. I'm especially interestedin the metalics. I have many of the 3D impressit dies now. Not the edges yet but almost all the small leaf and scrolls and embellishment ornamentals along with a few full folder impresslits too. Anyway I'm looking for a tough material that can be embossed will and hold up as cover stock for small note pads. And my design of the pads are with refillable binders so one can use for a while rather than having to throw away after the paper runs out. (I'm still working out if I'll go with loose rings, proclick, or disks. Leaning into proclick because of it's unique properties plus it helps give structure to the note book or pad. But I'm worried about how well the embossing will hold up over time and also how many passes to get that deep permanent pressed detail too. I know you can soak, wash, launder etc not just spritz the texture rolls before embossing but what would be the best out of all of the options and again should one maybe opt for not 3 but 4-5 passes? Will these beautiful small dies cut through the texture material. I've been hesitant to try actually. I bought all the metalics just for these projects then got cold feet. Also I do intend to see how these impresslits work with faux leathers and will yes spritz with some water ahead of that too. But the texture fabric/paper is my focus right now. Oh and being a much thicker product should I look for a thinner top plate than the usual or even the so called impression pads and plates? I'm confused about the impression pads actually. I bought two then was like now what are these for exactly? Anyway love your demonstration and was exactly what I was searching for today. Also am off to watch how the texture fabric is used and believe you have a video on that too. Maybe some of my questions will be answered there. PS can't get enough of your well done videos and keep on bringing us more wonderful designs and new products to challenge us with. As one lady said I feel my pocket book getting lighter....
now this is GENIUS!! Im just starting with this de cutting and embossing world which I want to use mainly for metal and leather for jewelry....this Impresslits looks pretty BEEFY so do you think I can use these on 24 or 26 metals or thin leather?
Hi Jyoti! We would recommend only using Sizzix products in Sizzix machines for the best cut and to protect your warranty. We wouldn't be able to offer advice on any other brand machines I'm afraid.
I hope someone can help me with a problem I'm having with the edging impresslits. No matter how I try to load it in my Bigshot foldaway, they will just not go through! The base plate goes though but the die is pushed out at the back. I have watched every video thinking it was just me being new to die cutting but nothing works! I won't be buying them again if I can't use them and regret paying for the ones I bought!
