    Beautiful
    That’s the first circuit bent keyboard that actually looks good and not like someone dropped it and tried to piece it together before the owner finds out 😂

      Thanks! I definitely learned a ton about finishing trying to get this one looking good!

    The most interesting thing I have ever seen done to an SK 👍

    I am blown away with how you found a way to open the input and bend things like vocals in real time. This feature alone makes this gem priceless. I have a fresh SK and this is the first thing I want to accomplish with it. If you’re reading this, would you be so kind to show your secret?

    • @po8aster

      Thanks! I just lifted the Input pin from the amplifier, then routed the signal through my effects circuit before going back to the amp input.
      I also routed the input jack straight to the effects circuit to let you mess with the input in real time. So it’s actually super straightforward!
      I recently updated this build and added a second amp to the signal chain; definitely recommend that since the SK sounds great overdriven and it can be quiet otherwise.
      And feel free to email me if you run into questions as you’re bending! I keep telling myself I’ll clean up my process pics to publish, but happy to share what rough material I have in the meantime!

      Thank you! I always try to keep the bends musical so they just highlight what they keyboard does well, so that’s really nice to hear 😸

    I want to find a SK1 to work on even tho I have barely started my bending adventure. Your case IS INSANE!

    • @po8aster
      @po8aster  2 роки тому

      Thanks! The case was definitely the trickiest part, but it actually made the bending a lot easier since I had more elbow room for the bends and mod circuitry 😸

    Excellent work my dude. Just did my first bending commission for someone this month, but it wasn’t anything close to this. Gotta step up my game now lol

    omg this is so cool. i would love to perform live music with this. the only thing it's missing is CV/gate inputs, MIDI in and out, and some kind of sync options? i can imagine using the remote control converter for the RCA signal from the audio pin data to create pixel art. I am wanting to make glitchy 8-bit trap with singing over top. this would be perfect. i have a casio ctk-411 actually... do you think it could be modded like this, bro? you are so inspiring, man. i need money so i can pay you to circuit bend everything i have lol

      Yeah happy to take on projects like these when comms are open! Sadly a lot of the CTKs are PCM based which makes them less bendable. You could always build in effects etc though.
      But yeah keep an eye on the channel! I’ve been quiet lately getting some other projects going, but hoping to do at least one SK-1 that I can put up for sale this year 👍
