This is the first video I’ve seen where my mouth was open the entire time. You finally managed to capture the steepness and I was absolutely blown away at some of the features you attempted. Those are some scary trails.
As a rider with just over a year of experience, getting to intermediate-ish level and have a torn rotater cuff injury already...this looks terrifying. Pretty sure I won't ever be able to do black trails buuut, hats off to u guys. Very controlled and precise riding.
45 years ago I was riding motorbikes through stuff like this, bikes just weren't quite capable of pulling it off well yet. Mothorcycles weren't anywhere close to what they are now either, but it was fun to get out there and explore. I'm 57 now and ride easier trails with an ebike, its still fun, but looking at you younger guys and the fun you have makes me want to be 25 again.
XT no question. The codes are just what i had around when i built the medium frame. Codes have less power, are stiffer to pull and howl when wet. They modulate well and the flip flop lever makes it easier to find a spare, but that's about it. Apparently the new sram rotors are a big improvement, but i haven't tried then yet.
I dont know buddy.. the insta360 has me split a lil bit. When going at speed the video get to luch motion blur and just washed out in details compared to the gopro. Maybe in a few generations it might be better overall but for now, slap the gopro on the chin and keep the 360 for backwards view or something. My two cents tho! Keep the good work up🙌
I’m just in Aww of this. So amazing how you guys can do this. I’m over tripping out how fast you go at times. And those trees, holy shit, so damn. Lose it seems like. This should be in the olympics lol. Great content bro, stay safe
Great vids as ever. Going against the popular opinion re the video angle. It's just so distorted and not like real life. I like true to life stuff so I can imagine riding it. This warped view just makes it feel like a computer game. Hopefully there is some middle ground as it adds good angle to footage which standard wide angle doesn't give.
Finally. Someone else riding a commencal. I've been sending my 2011 commenal supreme dh for 6 yrs now. I tried the trail bikes but they lack the suspension travel I need. Awesome vid 👍
If you guys get bored of the worldclass mountain biking in the Pacific Northwest come to Eagan, MN and experience Lebanon Hills Mountain Bike course. Not as advanced but guys have been known to break their ankles on it!
At first I was confused at the beginning of 5th horseman. I have no recollection of it being that steep lol. Then I realized the fisheye is making the sides look like a steep cliff, unless it is that steep? Then again were used to seeing everything look flat with gopros... dah I'll have to ride it again soon lol
Hi Dave, I really enjoy your qualitive clips! Would you be kind enough to tell me your height and your bike size ? (It will be interesting to corelate the reach of the bike with your height), thank you in advance.
To me the 360 excels in showing the steepness straight ahead, which is great, but I agree with other comments about the warping on the sides. Would be nice if the camera could be configured to do it's 360 thing in the just the direction of view where it helps, and do a more standard camera look for the other directions.
On steep, fast or rough terrain, the medium is better as it offers more stability. For slow tech, climbing or playing I prefer the small. I basically need two bikes lol.
How on earth is that ridable? So steep! Great vid, but scary as hell!
Рік тому+1
Wow, I'm impressed with the image as well as the sound. How do you get that sound? Do you use a remote mic? Do you use a "dead cat" ? Or a foam around the X3 ? I bought a ONE RS a little while ago and I'm thinking of getting the 360 module.
Just had the AXS stuff on loan for last season. The AXS Reverb was awesome. Performance wise, it's the best dropper I've ever used (and it better be for the price lol). AXS drivetrain was disappointing though.
@@ddangerousddave What about the drivetrain was disappointing? For me it was the clutch (at least in the GX spec) which doesn't have enough tension so I feel like my derailleur is all over the place when the riding gets rough. Other than that though, not messing with cable tension is convenient.
Get your Insta360 X3 here: www.insta360.com/sal/x3?insrc=INRPMA2
Nice camera, The Dji action 3 is also good
Hi Dave I admire your videos a lot. I just got the X3 because of you. Do you mind sharing the settings you used in this video? Thank you.
This is the first video I’ve seen where my mouth was open the entire time. You finally managed to capture the steepness and I was absolutely blown away at some of the features you attempted. Those are some scary trails.
Fully agree. Noticed the steepness, too. Good Cam Settings
I think the steepness is because he used a chin camera pointing downward. usually when pweople use a chest cam you can't tell
I really like the camera angle. Does what most other views can't do and that is show the speed and steepness of the trail. Awesome.
The fisheye feel is a little weird, but this is probably the best video for conveying how steep those trails are.
the fisheye makes it look super steep
i love the fisheye look honestly, i just bought the insta360 x3 yesterday so i can get the same effect 😂
cypress is super steep lol
That mount is an improvement, this is the most watchable 360 cam footage I've seen to date 👍
Awesome riding by all in those conditions too!
Guy up front seems like a real cool dude
Once again a great video showing your skills on a trail I'd probably die multiples times on. So steep and technical. Just wow!!
This is just so awesome! I love the scenery and the down hill and fast turns made in less then seconds is truly a thrill to watch.
Got to say, kinda liking the camera angle. Much love! Holmen.
Agreed I like this view
great command of the bike, all 3 riders are superb.
As a rider with just over a year of experience, getting to intermediate-ish level and have a torn rotater cuff injury already...this looks terrifying. Pretty sure I won't ever be able to do black trails buuut, hats off to u guys. Very controlled and precise riding.
Anyone can do blacks if they train enough, it took me about a year to become double black so keep pushing!!!
@Cheddis double black... I barely have the confidence to go full speed downhill dude lol
Does anyone else feel a sense of relief when they reach the road?
BTW, is this the new frame or old?
Like the video angle!
I always enjoy watching your rides .. and that little giggle is adorable!
That is a steep ass trail. Great riding. 4:50 😲You and VC are killing it
That was a pretty steep trail, impressive

You know it's steep when Dave busts out the violin. Keep it techy!
One of my fav on youtube!
Not only the steepness but the speed around those trees is insane! Nice work!
I love that the jackets are red orange and yellow and they’re riding in order haha no idea if that was intentional but I still love it!
incroyable et magnifique descente au coeur de cette belle forêt.
Bravo, les gars, vous êtes trop fort !!!
Dangerous Dave is a bad man.
절벽같은 급경사를 내려갈 때 정말 스릴있으면서도 재밌어요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
We do this in the Midwest. There are not enough hills so the trail builders use cement blocks. Some a-holes even throw broken glass on the trails!
this has gotta be one of the better yt vids i've watched
5:54 really puts the steepness into perspective
That misty forest is GORGEOUS!
Insane trail, insane riding, and insane footage from the X3.
So steep, but man is that forest beautiful, especially in the fog!
I can ride all blacks on the North Shore and Burke but this video reminded me why I don't ride the doubles :)
Thought we’d see you on a Knolly
Wow,..Great Mate,.. nice video shot,.. stay safe, enjoy the ride
Would you prefer those sram brakes or your previous shimano xt brakes

I liked the mount of camera since the start, I was not wrong! The camera really makes a difference in comparison to gopros. Nice
Yeah, great camera setup in my opinion, angle/perspective is peeeeefect!!
Congratulazioni per il vostro bel video e per la vostra abilità!
Complimenti from Italia
Awesome, eerie and kind of mystical what an awesome trail ..... way beyond my capabilities hats off to you buddy
The visuals are absolutely stunning!
Super impressive loving the video styles!
Love the video!
I like your voice too - and your laugh.
You seem like a nice guy. 😊
That is just north of where I live. Nice. So beautiful.

gorgeous fog! i’m jealous of the weather up there

The foggy forests of Cascadia are so gorgeous.
Great team of the bike, all 3 riders are super
The break squeal would drive me NUTZ!
Yet again, what is *wrong* with that trail?! You guys are crazy (talented)
My Grandfather used to cycle up that hill to school everyday. Cool video dude.
Absolute gnaaaarrr! Great riding and sick video.
Looks sick 🤙
Not sure what you find funny when riding this stuff because I was terrified just watching. Amazing video and you all have tremendous skills.
I dont normally comment, but, that was beatiful man. Well done.
That first half in the mist was something.
Imagine if the rear brake stopped working. 😅
Pure edge of the seat viewing there mate. Blessings from a Brit in Berlin. 💎♥️
wow! now thats some tech ! and on a downhill, fun, i was puckering watching some of that, i realize its probably alot steeper than it looks
those brakes are the real mvp 😂
Awesome riding Dave as usual! I kind of like the footage from the insta360 camera now!
would love to see speed overlay - some sections you're flying
cleanest footage on youtube
These bikes go down cliffs more smoothly than my feet would
Fine piece of riding…again. Respect!
This looks amazing as always. Is this considered Enduro riding or Downhill?
If you guys get bored of the worldclass mountain biking in the Pacific Northwest come to Eagan, MN and experience Lebanon Hills Mountain Bike course. Not as advanced but guys have been known to break their ankles on it!
The foggy trees look so eerie and cool

Dumb question but where do you guys park your car? I’m just saying that’s a looooong ride back up the mountain, lol.
the silent hill trail lookin good this year
JESUS! That's intense bro.
I wonder how much time did u spend to get there up
I can’t ever get my X3 to look like this. Wow.
Reminds me of some of the RIDE FARM jungle trails. Gnar
Nice video. Are you able to reduce the fisheye? I think this camera would be excellent if the fisheye could be reduced a bit.
It's funny, your brakes were kind of reminding me of the vuvuzela days
Amazing skills guys.
Hi Dave, I really enjoy your qualitive clips! Would you be kind enough to tell me your height and your bike size ? (It will be interesting to corelate the reach of the bike with your height), thank you in advance.
I'm always curious about your heart rate when riding these trails, especially on the technical jumps.
wild ride. what pedals are those on your Commencal? (and what Commencal is that?)
Was this filmed this weekend? I thought there would be snow?
Forgot it was Sunday for a sec thanks Dave!

You're really crazy, but the descent is steep👍
Hello Dave, do you feel size M fit you beter ? or if you have to choose you will go back to thé small ? Realy curious to know thanks.
On steep, fast or rough terrain, the medium is better as it offers more stability. For slow tech, climbing or playing I prefer the small. I basically need two bikes lol.

Built in mic with dead cats. I prefer the audio quality of the X3 over the One RS and the dead cats make a huge difference with wind noise.
@@ddangerousddave I will try this solution ! Thanks a lot ! I Hope you will come ride here in France :)
What kind of bike do you have I would really like to know
your breaks speak a thousand words
God, that Forest is BEUTIFUL
Did you ditch the AXS Reverb you had on the Meta?
Just had the AXS stuff on loan for last season. The AXS Reverb was awesome. Performance wise, it's the best dropper I've ever used (and it better be for the price lol). AXS drivetrain was disappointing though.

which state is here? washington, north california?
The fog is coming for Dave
This one looks so fun 🤠
I wish i had a single friend who liked to hit some trails.
At least with the insta 360, steep stuff looks steep.
Jesus what level biker do you need to be for these trails? They look amazing and fun
what model of commencal is that?
Is this reframed 360 video or is it using single lens mode?
