Sounds great for 15 minutes! I'd be interested in seeing something to where you work with tracks that were recorded in a home studio, DIY recorded drums and all.
Killer Joel! Just subscribed to your channel. Super inspiring seeing these quick mixing sessions. Are these tracks available for anyone to download? I’ve joined nail the mix but now find myself looking all over for new songs to mix.
Thanks for the insight . how long it will take you to mix this song in a "normal" mode for a client ? and will you use the Cubase channel EQ anyway ? looks fast workflow with those new popup EQ on Cubase 13
Hi Joel. Loved the video. Great job with the 15 minutes you had! I had a question concerning the bass track, was it a stereo or mono track? From the look of the waveform it looks stereo. If so, why?
Iv had NTM for years but i find watching you mix fast as VERY VERY helpful. Would love it if you shouted out your thought process. TOO MUCH MIDS. LOW END BOUNCING AROUND TOO MUCH. HIGH END HURTS. etc. Lets get in your brain
Hello! I found the video very enjoyable and have a question regarding guitar mixing. Typically, do you only mix and have two main guitars - 1. panned to the left and 2. to the right - or is there a third guitar, like a backing guitar, which remains mono? I'm aiming to achieve a similar wide mix for my guitars. However, whenever I introduce a third mono guitar, it tends to sound overly dense compared to, for instance, the mix in tracks by Deftones.
Usually guitars in heavy music are just doubled. A center guitar only clutters the midrange. Most people distort the top of bass these days anyways. So double track a riff. Pan 100 L / R
It’s a joke from a session w an iconic artist where the artist wanted the writing template export vibe mix and it had renaxx on demolishing -15db. We laughed because it was a meme setting but that’s what made the record haha 😂 so we joke about it. Sometimes it’s cool.

God damn Joel! This was insane! Fantastic job!
Thank you 🙏
Nice
When you say Kevin Thrasher would be stoked, does he love Ren Axx or does he actually hate it?

@@joelwanasekurm Ha! Love Kevin, Would also love a writing/producing course off him or something on URM.
Gave up the origin?
No. Never! I’ll do some stuff on it for YT eventually.
@@joelwanasekurm nice. Because it is my dream
Reaper would be crazy good for this kind of speed. That pre-loaded eq on everything is damn nice tho
