Yes, they are lucky to be surrounded by centuries of history. It would be hard to ignore, although there would be some people oblivious to what is around them.
@@helenbartoszek243 I guess seeing the places over and over again to the point like you said, they are oblivious to it, like we are to our surroundings. I live in Vancouver BC and we’re surrounded by mountains and the Pacific Ocean and I know people that rarely notice the ocean or the mountains, which I find different, but they were born here and they’re so use to seeing it that they have to be reminded what’s around them. 🤷♀️😆
@SnowPink90 wow imagine growing up in Egypt and not caring about everything around them 😕 it sounds like a wild concept but it's entirely true. I live in Blackpool and forget all about the tourist stuff. When I was a kid we'd visit Blackpool to see the illuminations but now I don't even walk 10 minutes to look at them lol I do enjoy taking people to see all the hidden gems that are here tho
Oh my goodness! I was just about to leave a message, and yours appeared like deja vue! Ceci will grow up such a grounded and balanced young lady. She’s a joy, as is her lovely Mum!
Loved the show, especially the Wilhelmina! Long -time subscriber and detectorist here in Tennessee, USA. I have a 6 yr old grandson who detects with me and watches Nicola, Cleggy, Scottish John and Simon also when I visit him in Alabama! He will love the book, whether he won it or we bought it!! #diamond
Florrie and Ceci are so lovely. I love that she brought her daughter with her at all ages. What a bond!!! Thank you Nicola for introducing us to them. #diamond

Our granddaughters live on the Coosa River in Gadsden, Alabama, USA. The river got very low, so they requested to go mudlarking!!!!!! 😂 They didn't find anything valuable, but the fact they wanted to do that was special to me!!!!!! Thanks for another great video, Nicola!
The Dawn horse 55.4 million yeas ago. HOW AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!! Just unbelievable!! Cecelia is on her way to a great career in some scientific or historical field. How lucky to have a parent who encourages such imagination in their child.
The best part for me was Ceci showing that huge garnet. I've never seen one so big. Precious, and semi precious stones are my favorite things to find. #diamond
I just discovered your channel and just want to tank you for the great content. It is mind staggering that there is so much. I am from Oklahoma and its about as new as it gets besides arrowheads found occasionally from native times. I metal detect and find nothing that old ever.
What a delightful little girl Ceci is. Very confident too unlike many of her peers who turn shy and give monosyllabic responses when in front of a camera. It was so refreshing to see a youngster who shares a passion so enthusiastically with a parent. I'm sure you have a great future Ceci.
Wow where would I begin with what I enjoyed about this, there was so much packed into it. The history of the whales industry on the Thames was fascinating, such amazing history behind that coin but I think Cissi stole the show. Her pride and passion was clear to see when she showed her most precious finds. Already such a skilled head for a young lady. #Diamond
I love Ceci and Florrie being with you today!! Seeing a young one down in the mud finding treasures was so exciting!! I guess I’m a kid at heart when it comes to mudlarking or finding sea shells, it’s all so much fun and very healthy being outdoors instead of playing video games. What beautiful memories they’re making while she’s getting a great education. Sounds like quite a life to me!! Please mention to Ceci that I absolutely love her shoelaces in my favourite colour!! I have them on my roller skates!!🛼🛼☺️🐬
Nicola, you were the first Thames mudlark I found on UA-cam and inspired my return to my childhood hobby of "garbage picking", as we called it, for bottles along the DesPlaines River in Riverside, Illinois. I would love to host you for an excursion if you ever travel to Chicago in the states. I even found a clay pipe bowl, a bucket list find after watching your videos, along the Illinois & Michigan Canal in Lemont, Illinois. Thank you for countless hours of entertainment! You're a #diamond in the world of mudlarks!
Another enjoyable and heart warming video Nicola, with good company in tow. Seeing Florrie and her daughter took us back some 3 years ago when they mudlarked with the Northern Mudlarks, Ceci was a tot. The artifact was an exciting find to say the least. Glad to see squirrel again, looking well. Wishing you a pleasant week ahead, stay safe.
I certainly enjoyed Ceci she such an inspiration to all people especially her age bracket. # Diamond 💎 Florrie is raising her daughter to become a historian of all time. They are very lovely people and friends to you Nicola. Great video of all of you at the foreshore . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Ceci is a beautiful little Treasure. Lovely mum too. Oh my goodness!! A Dawn Horse jaw bone. How wonderful for you. And a gorgeous little elephant. That padlock turned out awesome. Great finds all of you.
Nicola, What could possibly top the bond between Florrie and Ceci. It reminds me of the days of my youth, exploring the fields and woods on our farm and walking to the brook, on a very hot summer's day with my Mothers to go wading. I am 81 and still treasure those moments when everything was new and life seemed endless. What a treasure is the Thames with lessons which no Computer or game can equal. I hope, no matter the future, Ceci never forgets these precious moments, Cheers, Frederick "Rik" Spector
The intro with the beautiful swans and scenery was awesome. I enjoyed Florie and Cece with the finds today. Cecelia was so informative in her history lessons for her finds. Thank you all and God bless.
Beautiful finds from our favorite thames Queen Nicola, it was lovely meeting Flos daughter Ceci, imagine, what an exciting adventure to search the thames and find artifacts and interesting bits anb bobs with a spectacular history behind them. Finding extraordinary little things is not just fun it's educational as well. Thank you for another fantastic mudlarking video Nicola. ❤ #Diamond.
Loved this video! I have ‘a thing’ for old locks (no idea why) but I think I best enjoyed the part where Cici showed all of her oldest and most favorite finds!
What a breath of fresh air Ceci & her mom Florrie are !!! I love how Florrie took Ceci with her mudlarking from the time that she could sit up !!! I did the same with my daughter taking her with me everywhere I went never left her with a babysitter !!! Ceci is an excellent mudlarker & has teeth from a Dawn Horse that's 54.4 million years old (WOW) & she's putting it in the museum !!! Florrie found that coin with no King or Queen 👑 on it !!! This adventure was so much fun & educational !!! Always enjoy you also Nicola & Squirrel !!! #Diamond

Lovely outing with Flo and Ceci. How kind of Flo to give you the fascinating Whale Fisheries token. We had a Whale Fishery here in my small town in the East Neuk of Fife , there is still a narrow Wynd called the Whale or Greenland Close. There used to be a couple of Whale jawbones in the vicinity. In Edinburgh on the Meadows there is a Jawbone Walk and I think there is a jawbone on top of Berwick Law across the Forth from us. By the way I learned to write with a slate pencil on a slate when I was 5 in 1950. We cleaned our slates with a piece of rag which very quickly smelled awful!
I have been watching you for a long time now, and I simply must tell you how much I enjoy you and your videos. Your love of history and of solving mysteries is contagious, and the way you take such joy in little things makes me happy. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
That was fun watching you mudlark with Florrie and Ceci, and what amazing friends to give you such a wonderful gift. They had some truly spectacular finds from previous trips too. Wow! The book looks just adorable and I would love to read all about the #Diamond find. Thanks for sharing all the fun. 😊
