i finally sort of understand the meaning of the song now after 7 years.. it is about hayley not willing to give in to her selfishness and keep believing what she believes in, even though the outcome at the end of it all may not be what she wanted. she struggled but in the end she pushed through and becomes stronger.
she is such a kindhearted and smart individual that inspires thousands and thousands of us fans and she will never realize how much she meant to the fans. she is not just a singer, she is also a teacher in a way
