He performed it as an encore piece. Beauty can be simple ☺️

@@janepianotutorialsJane Oh I sure agree ! Horowitz also concluded his May 1965 historical Carnegie Hall concert with Schumann's Träumerei which is not techically difficult, but then one has to play it so it really sounds like a child dream which requires some skills...☺

Hello! Thanks for posting it; I am a beginner trying to play this piece, from 2 months ago now, and I find difficult to reproduce the technique to move the right hand, for example, passing the 5th finger two notes above and getting the rest of the digits in the correct positions, and then again back two positions below. All this playing with two hands of course, because only with one hand I have no problem from the time being... Is there some reference about how to move the hands along the keys guiding you by feeling the positions touching the other keys? It's impossible to look at everything at the same time playing with two hands... Thank you

If you can play that part with one hand, you definitely can play the same part with two. Set a metronome to a slow speed where you can manage to play with both hands. Repeat the section until you feel confident, then tick the metronome up 1 bpm. Repeat the steps. You’ll get there eventually. Patience is required. But guaranteed to work. 🥰

@@janepianotutorials Very thanks for your quick answer ! ... And yes, I use the metronome in a similar way you are advising me, but I am increasing the bpms a little bit faster (too fast as I can see 😅); I am still asking about the specific fingering techniques because I feel like a 'cognitive barrier' starting from some bpm ratio, because of (just guessing) a lack of technique to track the position of my hands on the keyboard (I see that you SEEM to 'touch' the black keys with your fingers to be able to monitor your current position on the keyboard so you know WITHOUT LOOKING at the keyboard, where you are on each exact moment). Am I right in some degree?

Indeed, missing black keys is the reason I do not enjoy sight-reading pieces in C major 😂. My speculation: those 5 years I took piano lessons, I enjoyed practicing scales and arpeggios, flying up and down the keyboard without looking. Quite certain that helped make fingering feel intuitive. Made lessons on those if you wish to give it a go. ❤️
