Chopping Mats have never looked this beautiful. I love the way the sconce looks and the lace fabric is beautiful, also. TFS, be safe and be blessed. 💙💙💙💙
Your camera may be old, but it did just fine. That sconce is beautiful. I need to watch this again. If that fabric is from the dollar tree, please send some south across the border 😢. Honestly, I am going to try this craft even if I have to go to the fabric store. Very nice.
Thanks so much!!! The fabric is a mesh fabric with glitter. I found it at Dollarama. But if you don't have access to Dollarama, I found similar fabric online ... I have added it to my curated Amazon list of Dollar Store alternatives here: linktw.in/sTzmeF . Good luck! ☺️
Absolutely beautiful and glamorous! Love the shimmer of the lace fabric on this Wall Sconce and how you used the Chopping Mats as your base! Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful 😍 I haven't used chopping mats before, but after watching your videos I will (hook,Lace and Chopping mats) thank you for sharing your talents with us 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 I'm going to try and recreate this diy 😀

Thanks so much. Your sconces turned out beautifully. Hook, chopping mats. Yes, I made some wall sconces for my sister as well as myself. Lace chopping mats. 😊
I love it ,i saw everything and i done 4 for my bedroom about 3 years ago but i did it with mirrors and is more work .i like that yours is more simple.and i like the way you explainit all. Thank you ,God bless.
I’ve never thought of using chopping mats to make a wall sconce, however, you have given me new insight. The lace with the chrome car trim really finishes it off. The lace may be a more challenging item to find but, I loved the project. Thanks
Thanks! fyi: if you need help finding the lace material, I dropped a link into the video description to my curated list of dollar store alternatives so you can buy online. Good luck! ☺️
This is a great project and while I was looking at your creative mind started to flourish with many idea's. Also, I have use the dollar tree mats while creating rhinestone templates. Thanks for sharing and I believe in subscribing to every channel I decide to view. Why not it doesn't cost anything but encourage and support the subscriber.
Thank you so very much for your support and welcome to the Creative Gems Family! 🙂 I am so curious to know what your rhinestone templates made from the chopping mats look like! I bet they're gorgeous. Have a wonderful day and I hope you enjoy my other craft tutorials. 🙂
Wonderful light! I am attempting one, or two rather, myself :) I have this beautiful window cling I will be my shade along with the chopping mats, of course! thanxoxomuch, Bon in Eureka, CA
This is beautiful and a great idea! I’ve seen people have these things decorated differently and I liked those too but it didn’t show exactly how they were made. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I would have liked to have seen how easy it was to turn them on and off. Are they remote? It didn’t seem like it. I’m trying to come up with something that is easy to just press to come on without having to get the more expensive ones. Thank you! Stay safe and well!
Thanks so much! 😊. The fairy/string lights are powered by a tiny switch attached to the the little battery pack which I attached to the back of the wood palette. I positioned the switch to be accessible towards the bottom. And yes, the LED puck light I inserted towards the end of the video gives additional lighting and it is remote controlled which makes it very convenient to power on/off the sconce. I hope this helps. Have fun if you end up making one for yourself as well. 😊

Thank you for responding so quickly. I love what you do with Dollar Tree products. Do you at times have problems with some glues holding your products together?
Thanks so much! Yes, I choose my glues and adhesives very carefully depending on what I'm try to glue together. Hot glue is great for woods, plastics, and even fabric, believe it or not. But generally hot glue doesn't offer long lasting hold for things that will be touched often or that requires a very secure hold. For instance, if you are working with glass or mirrors, I would recommend a much stronger adhesive such as E6000 or FixAll (available at Dollar Tree). For adhering gems, I usually like to use a tacky glue (available at Dollar Tree) that dries clear. For felt fabric adhering to wood or paper, generally white glue works well. I hope this helps! ☺️
No I have never made anything with a chopping Mat but it's such a great idea from the Dollar Tree. But you're right. I would like to know where you get the fabric from. Thank you for your help of making so beautiful project

I made a wall light sconce. I can easily change out the clear cutting board with colored cutting boards. I currently have the cutting board covered with a die cut placemat that can be easily changed. I made it nearly 2 years ago.
chopping mat, lace, chopping mat I think there was another word too but I forgot. New Subscriber :) I am going to make this. I just bought a bunch of chopping mats and wood pieces. Thank you for this!
Welcome to the Creative Gems Family, thanks for watching and subscribing!!! Have fun making your sconces - they will look beautuiful. FYI: The other word was HOOK (near the beginning of the video). 🙂
@@CreaTvDIY I made 4 and they look gorgeous. I am giving a pair to my Aunt Heather and keeping the other 2 for myself :) HOOK - of course. I forgot to edit it as I watched it again and paused just so I could get it all right!
O wow! I bet your sconces look beautiful! I'm so impressed you were able to make so many so quickly. Your Aunt Heather is so fortunate to be the recipient of 2 of your sconces.
@@CreaTvDIY It's my Aunt's Birthday (March 17) and she has been so kind and caring with my Dad (80yrs old) when I am not able to travel to see him. My Uncle (Dad's brother/Heather's husband) has cataracts so she has really stepped up! The sconces are my way of saying Thanks! As far as able to do it so quickly. I had all of the supplies and I am a determined person. I did have one fail attempt though.
@@CreaTvDIY I live in a small bachelor apartment and my main room has been transformed into a crafts room to accommodate my collection. I love my craft room because it's mine & it didn't cost anything to build!
You are so creative for using old hooks, chopping mats as your base for your beautiful sconces! ❤
Thanks so much! Yes, the old hooks from the picture frames is my little hack - it's so easy and works extremely well. 😊
