I can't believe that Anne passed away today after her horrific car accident. She was only 53 years old. She was a beautiful person & one of the most talented actresses EVER.🙏 R.I.P. Anne Heche 💗
I have to remind myself that this is the same actress playing both roles instead of twin actresses. This a pure master class. Anne Heche deserved every bit of that Emmy she won
I have to also say..kudos the the makers of the show..... these scenes with the two characters together were so well done you would swear it was two different actresses playing the parts.
Seriously, everyyoung, new soap actress should be required to sit down and watch tapes of Anne Heche in this role, to see how it is *supposed* to be done.
Anne Heche is truly magnificent actress. These scenes are wonderful. She makes the two characters completely different and acting against yourself is no easy task. Brava to her!
One of the most brilliant performances on daytime tv ever. Anne Heche made Vicki and Marley two individuals which(if you watch Jensen Buchanan try it) was not an easy thing to do.
@Draper Scott It's really hard for me to choose who was best. Ellen Wheeler was outstanding, but I feel Anne Heche showed a whole lot more facets of Marley & Victoria than Ellen did, especially during the "Who Shot Jake" story line. So I feel that Anne squeaks by Ellen as best just for that story line alone. I do love how both actresses played the parts, but you can seen in this scene here that Anne really gave it her all with these roles and I was so sad when she left the show. Jensen took a long while to win me over. At first I despised her and thought she was completely wrong to play either role, but over time I accepted her and feel she portrayed a more mature, softer version of Marley/Vicky which made sense since she the character was older by that point. I've been revisiting all these old Marley/Vicky clips since Anne's passing and pray she's found comfort and peace on the other side.
My Lord what an actress!! Seriously playing against yourself! I remember Anne from her days on Another World. I also remember thinking they would never find another actress, just as good or even better than Ellen Wheeler, when she left the show. But they sure did! RIP Anne,,,,,😭 we love you
Amazing work here. Her Marley even looks and acts a little like Ellen Wheeler. It's a shame that just as she was truly at her peak as both Vicky and Marley (and no longer wearing that hideous Marley wig), she left.
Ellen Wheeler and Anne Hecht were both able to make Marley and Victoria two distinct characters, and I think their Emmy wind for playing the twins is proof. I'm not saying Jensen Buchanan didn't try, but I always felt with her the characters were interchangeable and not distinct, definitely my least favorite of the actresses who played Marley and/or Vicky.
In reply to Patrick Gray, who has commented two or three times (I have the replies in my email) but whose responses never show up here: Patrick, you make some great points about Ms. Buchanan. She was nominated twice for a daytime Emmy for lead actress, but it was for a single role -- that of Vicky Hudson. Ellen Wheeler and Anne Heche were both nominated and won in the younger actress category, but for playing both roles. I don't necessarily think that means Ms. Wheeler or Ms. Heche were better actresses than Ms. Buchanan (that's a purely subjective call, as I'm sure you're aware), but a testament to the hard work it takes to play both roles. I believe Ms. Buchanan played a believable Vicky Hudson and a believable Marley Love; it was when she was asked to play both roles in the same scene that I had a problem. Perhaps, as you commented, it was more subtle. Ms. Wheeler and Ms. Heche changed the pitch of their voices and altered their physical stance to make the characters different on screen. I didn't see that with Ms. Buchanan. One area where Ms. Buchanan excelled is in her scenes with Mark Pinter (Grant Harrison). I believe the chemistry between the two actors was better than with Paul Michael Valley (Ryan Harrison) or Tom Eplin (Jake McKinnon). But Vicky didn't belong with Grant! Lol
@@patrickgray4568 ANOTHER WORLD had an embarrassment of riches when it came to talent, even in the '90s, yet storywise it was a different story. Perhaps it was the trouble P&G had with NBC over licensing fees and stories and whatever else was going on behind the scenes. That said, I think I would have preferred it had Ellen Wheeler been able to come back immediately to play Marley and Vicky after Anne Heche left and a new role created for Jensen Buchanan. All water under the bridge at this point. It's just a shame that AW ended the way that it did (and ATWT and GL too). I still wonder from time to time what my favorite characters would be like today had the show not been canceled. Would Cass be the Mac Cory of the show? Would Carl have stayed on the straight and narrow? Would Vicky and Jake have survived raising twins? Would Donna have ever discovered she actually gave birth to triplets and Scott LaSalle was her son? So much promise . . .
@@kade82 Hey! I remember something about Donna having triplets! Wasn't there a scene with her in a very agitated state clutching three pillows and saying they were her babies or something? Or was that a fever dream I had? Scott Lasalle? Are you making up fan fiction or do you know something we don't? You are rocking my "World!"

She was brilliant! I miss seeing her on TV! RIP, Anne!🌹❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
These are GREAT Vicky and Marley scenes...love the differences Anne puts into these two in dramatic scenes. Thanks for sharing!
I can barely believe this is ONE WOMAN on daytime. So nuanced! Masterful!

#RIP Anne Heche 💔😢
When your mother loves soap operas and names you after twins= Marley Victoria
My brother had a pit bull named Jake and a two cats named Sam and Amanda
My daughter is Marley. I wanted to name her Victoria, but my first stepmothers name was Vicky.
This is how I remember Anne Heche, she was so good as Marley & Victoria, I will always remember her brilliance. R I P Anne
RIP Anne Heche 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Anne Heche was the best actress in daytime television as a teen.
@Draper Scott not
I loved Anne when she was on it should've been called Anneother World! I liked Jensen but liked her more as Marley she wasn't Vicky to me.
@Draper Scott no 🍯

RIP Anne you were the ONLY Vicky!
AH is my all time fave on daytime!! 📺❤️
Anne Heche did a great job playing marley&vickie. Ellen wheeler didn’t even come close👏 she Nailed these Scenes.
@@funny0000000 I did see that and it looks like she was not injured or burned. I think she was killed .
I remember when Victoria was first introduced,ELLEN WHEELER did an amazing job but ANNE HECHE owned the role!!
Here Ann is portraying dual actors. Very well done . Makes one wonder about split personalities

Anne deserved much better. She is excellent in this role!

Heche, not Hecht. Stupid autocorrect, and I couldn't edit it.
