- Douglas Coupland: everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything is the first major museum solo exhibition of the artist's work and is presented at the Vancouver Art Gallery from May 31 - September 1, 2014. Douglas Coupland is an artist based in Vancouver whose remarkably prolific production across a diverse range of media over the past 15 years addresses the singularity of Canadian culture, the power of language, as well as the ever-pervasive presence of technology in everyday life. The title of the exhibition, everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything, refers both to Coupland's deep engagement with place and cultural identity and, simultaneously, his recognition of a growing ubiquity as access to information, images and technology becomes more readily available to the masses.

This man is cognitively and creatively 3000 years ahead of his time! He's post-singularity, post-scarcity, post-transcendental, post-human and above all post-sensical. An artistic Giant that shall be revered until the end of the Universe - and beyond.
This looks like an absolutely beautiful show. I wish I could get to see it. I read 'J-Pod' last year, and had no idea Douglas was also an artist. Are there any plans for this show to come to the UK?
+Alexi K I saw this show 2 years ago while on a holiday in Vancouver. Thought Coupland was "just" the author of "Generation X" Turns out that he's an art genius...and very prolific. The show caught a vibe just on the edge of everybody concjousness...people were lined up around the block day after day to see it. Amazing.
the way the camera focused on the pop art esque image of the man committing suicide was extremely powerful
Be positive.
He sounds like a time traveler
Who are these jokers who run this mockery of a city art gallery?
