Absolutely love this. I’ve always been obsessed with ghost trains
Hey there Chono! Ah good, I'm glad someone loves it. 😆 I certainly had an amazing time making it!
By the title I first thought this was at Brighton Beach, Brooklyn USA lol (I'm from New Jersey). Great video & ride - I wish it were near me.
When I was a little kid, I really wanted to own a ghost train so I could ride it all the time. I remember going on a ghost train at some British seaside resort in the 1970s, but I don't remember where it was or what the ride was called. I do remember it had a big dip like at 2:51 but it was in the open at the front. It is possible it was Dymchurch Amusement Park, if that was around back then.
Excellent thanks so much for this.
You're welcome, Mark! I loved making this video and so it's great when a viewer enjoys it too.
@@jarnopp hello Jason yes it's very interesting indeed,I'm from leic my home seaside town is skegness allways liked all artwork, on ghost train.funnily enough some of the original artwork from original train at the front 1978 is now in train itself anyway kind regards look forward to more vlogs thanks.
A bit different from your usual videos but still very good all the same. I like it!
Year's ago I was working on the lifeguard service patrol boat and one carm day we found a coffin which was just about floating
We thought it was from a burial at sea and brought it ashore just east of the pier
People on the beach were horrified as we carried it up and into the lifeguard arches
I was about to ring the police when a pier security guy came along and thanks for getting that back it comes from the ghost train
Some kids had thrown it in the sea !!
Very cool video and loved seeing the behind the scenes. I'm sure I could make that ride 100 times better though lol. (and still keep it family friendly)
I love this Ghost Train... and I've been on it several times with some folk that you know... Great video dear sausage.
Thank you darling! Glad you enjoyed your own time at the Horror Hotel. Do tell friends about this video! 😄
I make and buy horror props; I offered to donate them to this Ghost Train. I didn't want money, I just wanted to add my props to help out, but nobody ever got back to me. Oh well, I'm glad Flamingo Park in Hastings got theirs.
I made my own Halloween Horror maze, and I couldn't imagine leaving the walls blank like this! That outside section has potential, but nobody is doing anything.
A nice Halloween diversion! We've just got back from Chessington where they're having a Halloween week. There were creepy woodland walks with scary performers jumping out at you. Top stuff!
Fascinating to see the inner workings of this ride. I remember the fire being on the news, and I also remember hearing about people wanting to book the hotel.
PS: Your glow-in-the-dark teeth and eyes were superb fun! Thoroughly worthy of being on the thumbnail.
@@marcpaters0n hehe, glad you enjoyed, Mark - thanks! Sounds like you had a lot of top fun at Chessington, too. 🎃
Love this! I remember being scared of a ghost train when i was about 10 and they had to turn the lights on to let me walk through and out! The spider webs in my hair turned out to be just dangling pieces of string! 😳
Argh, spider webs! I remember a ride when I was a kid, where a guy wearing a wolfman glove would ruffle your hair from the rafters towards the end. Thanks - glad you enjoyed this. Tell friends!
@@jarnopp there was a ghost train I’ve been on recently but I went on it years ago it was a travelling one and the cars fit 2 people if you went on your own there was a guy in a scream mask it would go pitch black and he would sneak and sit next to you and then you come out and he’s next to you and makes you jump lol
@@jakesgreatadventures haha, wow, that definitely sounds like it would be a pretty powerful fright! 😱
You like Ghost Trains, you made a vid about Ghost Trains, you mentioned Ghost Trains in both your novels...Think I can already guess the title of your NEXT novel 😃 Talking of titles, always thought The Last Days Of Jack Sparks was a great title, and Jack Sparks a great name. Also seemed an ideal title for a comicbook/graphic novel
The Ghost Train that burnt down was not the original one, back in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s the Ghost train was on the opposite side of the Pier (it’s now a Pub/Bar), footage of the original Ghost Train can be seen in the film Carry on at Your Convenience (1971).
"Look - it's the Dungeons & Dragons ride!"
@@jarnopp Or to another dimension under the domination of a demonic warlock 🙂.
Could anyone tell me the song at 07:54?
Hi there Cozza! I can tell you - it's Poison Ivy Girls by the mighty Baby Chaos! 👊
Can we go on this when I get to Brighton someday? It's just a little jewel of design! I remember reading about the terrible fire, and of course the wreckage is just put there.
Hello Lady H! Weirdly, I had completely forgotten about the 2003 fire that features in the video! Not even sure I ever knew about it.
@@jarnopp In spite of the GIANT SHELL that stands there in the sea? Or is that framework from something completely different?
@@francinehibiscus350 Ahhhhh, that's a different pier altogether! We have two piers - one has been burnt to a husk, while the other, the Palace Pier, only had the ghost train fire in 2003.
@@francinehibiscus350 I know! We can't move for piers, here in Brighton. I found one in my living room the other day, smoking a pipe. (Or maybe that was a guy called Piers, not sure.)
📢What do you think of this guided tour of Brighton Pier's Horror Hotel ghost train? I want to hear your favourite parts of the ride - and also your very own ghost train tales! What's the greatest ghost train you've ever been on and why?
