  • In our latest podcast episode, we speak to former Royal Marine Mark Ormrod about his story, what resilience means to him - and why he does not want to be defined by his disability.
In 2007, during a routine patrol in Afghanistan, Mark's life changed forever when he triggered an improvised explosive device, resulting in a triple amputation. Despite being told by a specialist that he would never walk again, Mark defied the odds.
After spending six weeks in a high dependency ward in Birmingham, he embarked on a path of recovery that would see him reclaim his life in ways many thought impossible.
In this episode, we delve into Mark's story, exploring the highs and lows of his journey, the physical and mental challenges he endured, and how it has changed his outlook on life.
Mark also discusses why he wants to go beyond his disability and sporting achievements- with his next goal being success in business.
With a number of new projects in the pipeline, including TV shows and books, Mark explains how a good mentor and a whole lot of courage can change your life.
