I just finished an automated package delivery truck in my survival world that holds 10 crates at a time. My main farming base is next to the fruit packing station, so I either fill the truck up with fruit crates and it follows a guide rail to the trader, or I place a chest of veggies over a sensor on the back of the truck and it will go to the veggie packing station instead. As long as there are no crates on the truck and no chest covering the sensor on the back, it goes to the fruit packing station. I do not have any crate sorting system though. I manually place the crates on the truck. A sensor detects the truck and triggers a water cannon over the button at the trader and the vehicle only moves if it is either full or empty, so it stops once the first crate is sucked up and waits until the truck is empty before returning to the fruit packing station to wait for another trip.

for transporting the packages, you could make an elevator with a flipper mechanism to lift them up, and then push or flip the packages into the truck, or you could have the truck come down on a giant elevator with small ramps onto the truck once its down there.

Add a Catapult to launch the crates to a funnel that will lead them to the vehycle :)

One part reverse water wheel
One that picks the crate up at the bottom
And falls through the center on the high end
Should be low lag

At the unloading dock you may actually do it with just 2 cranes to reduce lag. you have an sort of waiting room where the crates drop on top of eachother. then you make a lift that goes up to the truck and a crane to put them in the truck. thats my idea. i dont know how well it will work.

I thought the drone planting and watering was cool .Damn this is way cooler 🤩🤩🤩, I guess you could start the car at the bottom itself and use ram pieces to get up to the required height to avoid complicating things I guess?

Electric engine has more torque and gas engine has more speed. Surely electric is better for autonomous drones.
