dark matter and dark energy is so unknown at the moment that one could make it do virtually anything in mass effect except for time travel since that opens a can of worms
Imo u are right, for me the scourge in andromenda is what the reapers were trying to prevent, and it never happend in the milky way cause they never let it, but then the remnant did something to cause the scourge which is pockets of unstable dark matter, i think the geth were using the telescope to try and get insights of how to deal with it from the remnant, they must have atleast seen a alien civilazition being born from a galaxy away.
Yeah, whatever the Remnant were before, 600 years from when the Ark's arrive in Andromeda, it's clear that the Scourge no doubt played a role in their extinction due to how wide spread it is and how it affects planets atmosphere's. Of course, the Remnant used the Vaults they made to terraform planets so they could be habitable. But it's clear that their effects may not be permanent, considering that due to them being offline when Ryder gets there, the Scourge had reclaimed those planets. Clearly, the Vaults could only treat the symptoms (as long as they were online) rather than actually get rid of the scourge for good.
Good response bro, IMO the remnant are now the angara, or atleast the remnant planned to induct the angara into remnant society, and the fact that we find out the remnant seeded the cluster with them makes me think they perhaps were trying to make a species that can either not be affected or absorb the scourge, cause if the reapers know of something that will end all life the remnant sure did too.

I was always intrigued by the dark energy plot and I would love to see it explored, but I agree, introducing time travel is messy, ME has always had pretty neat and linear science fiction, I think time travel would be outside it's identity.

The writers team should for once listen to the fans. Your idea was being explored in the beginning of the series, but then EA happened, writers left the project and this amazing plot line was abandoned.
Some argue the collision between the Milky way and Andromeda galaxies has already started as the outermost fringes of bound matter from each are starting to overlap and the gravitational effect of each galaxy is starting to create effects in the other. It's a bit of where do you draw the line. Considering space is so big it's unlike for any of the stars to ever collide or anything so dramatic as that even as the two central black holes are clearly inside the main body of each other.
You know we all want Conrad's thread to continue. It would be both glorious and hilarious. Those are some cool stickers as well.

Mass Effect introduced tech rooted in real-world science, such as the QEC (Quantum entanglement communicator). It makes sense Bioware will continue to consult with physicists as it pertains to dark energy, dark matter etc.
I remember System Shock already used QE to explain your regeneration back in 99.
Years ago, back when ME3 came out, the tidbits of the Dark Energy and some dropped plots from the games emerged, and I felt like it was such a missed opportunity for something that could have been so neat (for this universe). I really liked the idea and what they could've built up from it. Currently, in science news, we're going through another phase of 'Dark Matter/Dark Energy does not exist.' However, even if none of it exists, in a sci-fi fantasy universe like Mass Effect, and with eezo (element zero etc), these Dark Energy plots would still work perfectly fine.
I DO hope we see some of these plot angles are picked up in ME5. It'd be a cool way to bridge not just MEA and the ME trilogy but also touch back to earlier parts of ME's history.

Gianna Parasini in me2 mentions that they have been dealing with hacking attacks and she states that a lot of people are suddenly interested in dark matter and that her boss wants her to check it out.
One thing is for certain : during the trilogy most of the milky way was closed behind inactive relays. When we used the crucible to end the reaper threat, no matter the choice we made, all the relays were activated to let the beam through. So this could have activated any kind of tech or opened a link to a star system with something, black hole or something unknown.
And I too had the same idea than you, what was the crucible beam made of ? We have no idea how it actually worked so it might well be that it produced the same effect than detonating the weapon did on Heleus cluster in Andromeda.
I had totally forgotten about the black hole at the middle of the Helios cluster. Now that you mention it, it seems likely that Ketos will have something to do with how the two galaxies are bridged.

So the crucible was a dark energy weapon... and dark energy causes the rate of time to change.... What if the entire milky way galaxy starts moving through time at a faster rate temporarily after the crucible detonation? What if it pushes the timelines together? That would make perfect sense with how secretive the Andromeda distress signal from the Andromeda timeframe is. Imagine everything in the milky way seems fine but suddenly you get a distress signal from 600+ years in the future. It would be top secret information within the alliance, and Liara as the shadow broker probably catches wind of it and goes out to investigate. Imagine if she is also looking for Shepard and somehow this distress signal connects to her search for them.

Your theories on dark energy was very detailed, its almost certainly going to be involved in the next game, they could do so much since its so unknown. If the game is set centuries from 2186 then more and more stars could be affected like Haestrom creating a new crisis for the galaxy.
An hour long video must have been a pain to make but it really did allow you to go everything related to the subject. This was a great video.

Also side note there was the A.I Rider found on the ice planet in Andromeda that’s said it doesn’t know the angara. It also wanted to be with SAM so maybe it shares info with SAM about who created it and for what.

It was the key to all Mass Effects. It's element zero that causes the "mass effect" that allows for instantaneous space travel between relays.
I loved this video!!! So many thoughts to chew on. I wonder if the Geth operating from their telescope had access to Quantum Entanglement Communication and it was they who contacted Liara to relay concerning real-time observations from a point 300 years in the future.
I think we are getting a post ME:3 intro, where we see something unfolding and leap forward to receiving the Initiatives distress beacon and Liara setting up her plans. It’s clever hearing Liara having a Geth companion in the recording from post Mass effect 3, and then being seen with possibly the same Geth companion in the Mass effect 5 poster art, who can age with her, where we see her talking to an angara. I think that’s enough evidence to tell we will be in the andromeda timeline.
Thanks for the video. Always fantastic work. I completely agree with you concerning the scourge being linked to Dark energy and being central in the next game's plot. I also thought messages we got last n7 day could have been sent from differents times towards future or past. I don't really would go for time travel, but more time and space dilation due to dark energy. I love how you brought the crucible being maybe the source to a new scourge event in the milky way.
I really hope devs are following your videos (as well as other ME content creators) cause they are full of good theories a great writer such as Mary Demarle could build upon.
But as we saw for the last Zelda game, communities had great ideas but... it didn't go that route. Thanks again !

I think that industry standard is that devs aren't "allowed" to watch videos like this or engage with fanfic or anything of the sort. Don't take my word as concrete it's just something I remember hearing about other creative industries so I really don't know if they watch these haha
I think the Geth we hear Liara talking to in the hidden audio from just post ME:3 is the same Geth she is seen with in the ME:5 poster art.
Would make sense for Liara to have a companion that can actually age with her.
I think the game will definitely have a playable intro post ME:3 and will then have a massive time jump to Liara receiving the Andromeda signal, where she’s surprised it succeeded, and that’s where her ‘human defiance’ comment comes in, because the council initially forbade the initiative from leaving.
And this is closest what we can go for now. On point Kala, awesome.

I've never been a fan of the dark energy plotline as it makes no sense when the milkyway is one of 100 million galaxies in the observable universe. The reapers wiping out life in one galaxy would do absolutely nothing if any species in any other galaxy would collapse the universe. Also if using mass effect tech is going to be a problem you're going to end up in a position where the mass effect isn't going to be in mass effect.
I also used Dark energy in my ME theory as to why the Kett, Remnant and Scourge exist. Loving the videos. Keep 'em coming

The Element Zero dark energy plot line doesn't quite make sense because the Reapers encouraged all advanced civilizations to use Element Zero and biotics. Basically, in this scenario, they are encouraging civilizations to do the thing which they (the reapers) were created to stop.

Hey, I just want to say that I absolutely love your videos and I look forward to them every week. I agree with you that I do not want to see a time travel plot point used as kind of a quick and easy or quick and dirty way to connect both galaxies because unfortunately they just happen to put one galaxy 500 years or so into the future, and now they have to figure out how to connect both sides of it. Want to do a Multiverse thing because they connect too closely to the marvel Multiverse, which I think honestly was really poorly done in the first place. I do think that there is gonna be some kind of connection between the Milky Way and Andromeda, and possibly building a relay two more quickly traverse between the two, but how that’s gonna happen and what the timeline is gonna look like I don’t know.
I like that they're exploring dark energy and all that, but I also hope that dark energy will not be an excuse to reset Shepard or make choices undone.

This is a great video, thank you for all the mass effect content you do! I definitely hope they make connections between Andromeda and Milky Way, it wouldn't make sense otherwise. It would be neat if they paralleled the two games in one - playing with two protagonists doing their things in their galaxy, but both dealing with dark energy. They will never do this, of course, but it would be cool if they did. It's a better solutions than solving the traveling time between galaxies.

You know I don't remember Tali hugging shepard in rannoch when I romanced her many times though I probably didn't choose a different dialogue in that scene with the reaper on rannoch. But the dark energy and and the scourge is probably the more interesting stuff regarding time travel or real time travel or another potential galaxy wide or multiple galaxy wide threats that is more of a force of nature type that while not make a compelling villain with motivations but something worth finding or reviving Shepard over.
Your Argumentation makes sense and i also think dark energy will be a main plot point, since we already had the lovecraftian outer galaxy horror entity you can't really trump that with another big scary Monster Enemy. So it would make the most sense for me that there is a more pressing danger in the form of dangerous physics.

I agree with this video, also I recommend "Mass Effect: Discovery" Comic, which has geth using relays to observe andromeda and its the reaper controlled geth at that. I do believe that there were reasons for:
- Reapers observing andromeda galaxy
- The remnant race not being present in andromeda for some reason
- Geth doing tests on dark energy
My theory is that the remants who terraformed planets in andromeda did it so they woud not be habitable and the protagonist just reversed the process. It might be that the reapers were observing andromeda as it might have been a threat, if all habitable planets were terraformed to not be able to support life in milky way, the cycles would stop.
Also, next mass effect might focus more on the benefactor who I suspect to be Banes from ME1, since the andromeda initiative had Jien Garson and Alec Ryder as important characters. I suspect that person to at least be human and Banes fits right in as spearate from Cerberus and Alliance and with enough connections to pull this off.
I just hope to see my man Javik in mass effect 5, its all I need haha
I always figured object Rho was something to do with sovereign. It’s easy to forget that Sovereign would periodically come out of Hibernation to skulk about and see what was going on in the galaxy every few thousand years, and woke up and began preparing for the arrival at least for a few thousand years before Shepards birth. The Rachni tell us by Mass effect 2 that it was the reapers that influenced them to go to war, so that was sovereigns doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if object Rho was just a fail safe to tell sovereign that the reapers were on their way if the citadel plan ever failed, like it did, or just to tell sovereign they were coming, so sovereign could set off whatever plans or agents it had planted ready for arrival. Or maybe it’s even there for the catalyst on the citadel, to let it know the harvest was about to begin again.
I had a very similar theory , I always thought object Rho was also a way for Sovereign to communicate with the reapers in Dark Space, after all Sovereign is destroyed way before Harbinger and the rest are even near the milky way and yet they know everything Sovereign did.
I think the alpha relay was a back door for the reapers to arrive in the galaxy if they had trouble with the citadel relay, or maybe it's how they used to come back in the first cycles then when they discovered they could engineer the keepers they decided to make the trap in the citadel and created the relay to dark space there.

Science Fiction writter and Mass Effect fan here!
Forgive me tipping if it is bad, English is not my 1st language.
I can tell you some things about the real science and some of your theories both related on science talking and writting.
I had a very long discusson with a friend about ME Dark Energy theory, and i concluded that it would be a nightmare to not only explain on scientific terms, but also in writting. We sci fi writters have a way justify a niche tech using layers over layers of explanation, and the final layer is "I just invented" - is like how Star Trek tech is fantastic yet grounder in some reality. Mass Effect is not exception.
Dark Energy and Dark Matter are 2 diferent "beasts" in science that cannot be explained for that reason the term "dark" - Dark Energy "inflates galaxies and the whole universe" on a unknown way and an unknown mechanism - and Dark Matter is a "phantom mass" that is "inflating the weight of galaxies". And current investigations saids Dark Matter has properties of a particle (like electrons or quarks) - but this particle does not interact with the Electromagnetic Spectrum, thus it is dificult to detect; but that particle interacts with gravity via mass on a weakly manner. But Dark Energy is another can of worms we cannot explain.
And using 2 forces that we cannot explain as a world building is a nice thing, not so nice when those mysterious forces that we use to justify FTL and artificial gravity, creates a cosmic scale catastrophe that we cannot explain (is not like the relation of fossile fuels burning, green house emissions, and Global Warming) - this is cosmic scale menace is a thing that cannot be comprehended nor fully understand, or even solved. Because if Dark Energy was used as a plot point of ME3 and the Reapers motivation, it would made the ending 10 worse due to "pulling out a thing that cannot be comprehended" to the average player. Also, it would mean that destroying the Reapers would be meaningless, because other Reaper fleets from the rest of the Universe would had to come and erased the "Troubling Milky Way"
Also, when we writters create conflict, we use it as a vehicle to challenge our word and our protagonists. And for that reasons many conflicts involves a factions that needs to be defeated, or a trouble that needs to be solve, or a weakness to be surpass. But there is a thing that you cannot writte properly, and it is a conflict againts Nature; you cannot dominate nature, controle it, defeated or solved. Nature is nature, and it is one thing, unforgiving... from predator to prey relation, bacteria infecting other organism, and even death itself are things that happens in Nature. And when there is a dissaster such as a tsunami or huricane, you hide and take cover and pray to survive; you dont "defeat them" - and that thing would had made Mass Effect a nightmare if they used the Dark Energy theory.
Or TLDR in the science aspect, people are not super geniuses to understand concepts like Dark Matter and Energy. And pulling a thing of "It is on those mysterious forces that drives the main conflict" - would be either too "hardcore" on science, or too nonsensical (because the core of Mass Effect is exploring the Galaxy, building your crew, have a relation with the crew, and defeating the bad guys while saving the galaxy in the process) - a Pulling a Nolan's Interstellar plot device, it would be out of touch on the core of M.E. and a pain to the head.
Now the relation of Remn (Short for Remnant) and the Scourge, it would be aeasy to explain. Because it is a last ditch weapon for the Remn to defend itself from an unknown force. And of course the Scourge would be so close to Remn tech and buildings as a "protection mechanism" to this invader.
Keern black holes are not atypical, they are the norm. Because all (if not, most) black holes rotates; and in that rotation creates a space-time sphere that is draged by the spin called "ergosphere" - that allows you to theoretically enter the black hole without been crushed by gravity forces. But black holes are unique, because if you are too close to one you "inner clock" would go slow due to time dilation (Einstein relativity) compared to the rest of the Universe.
And in the paper made by our God and Savior Conrad Verner, he explained that there is dilation of time on a dark energy field. But in my head, i think that dilation would work as a w way street (it can make your inner clock go slow, or go fast compared to the rest of the Universe (again, Einstein Relativity) - while usin Mass Effect tech to manipulate mass and dark energy to have such time dilation)
What is my point on time dilation? - well, the Expedition to Andromeda had to use FTL for a very long time. And such dilation would acumulate over time and would have a massive impact on the long run (in this case, the inner clocks of the Andromeda Expedition would had gone faster compared to the rest of the Universe, and just decades had happened on the Milky Way, but centuries on the Arks) -and that way it is possible to have a game after the Reaper War and be connected to the Andromeda Galaxy.
And to explain Haestrom sun without putting Dark Energy (becasue a good scientist would look for other possibilities until it has a definitive proof) is a black hole inside the star (Something Called Hawkin's Star, a video for the explanation (ua-cam.com/video/Q6kJaMf3Lgo/v-deo.html) ) TLDR, a "small" black hole had entered the star and had "eaten it inside out" and making it older artificialy. And why the Geth would be intersted, becasue that is an "exotic star" to study and understand better the universe. Or would plant a base in there and strip all the resources, and even preserve the remnants of the Quarian relics and artifacts.
And for the Geth telescope. It is impossible to have a telescope that is showing you a real time image of a distant stellar object (due to nature of Light) - Light speed is fast for us, but slow on Galactic Scale (to the point we use Lightyears (or the distance that ligh travels on a year) to meassure things on our Galaxy, and for example, the Milky Way has a diameter of around 100,000 to 150,000 lightyears) - and the Andromeda Galaxy is 2.5 millions years from the Milky Way (and an event that is happening right now on Andromeda like a super nova, would reach to us 2.5 Million years later)
TLDR: Dark Energy is too heavy and would be too hardcore in science (even more hardcore in science like Nolan's Interstellar)
I have one thing I'm confused about... We already know ME 2,3 and Andromeda have Quantam Entanglement communication. Instantaneous communication regardless of distance, with the limitation that it's strictly point-to-point.
Why do we need the time travel time wackiness for a message from one universe to another? QEC could be used, couldn't it?
IRT the distortion on the new relay construction scene: it very well could be as simple as the scene being shot as someone looking at a monitor.
Conrad's influence has to return! His presence is felt throughout all games, including his sister in Andromeda, so for him to be a returning name makes a lot of sense!

Considering that dark energy was like a running little sideline in the first trilogy and a big point in andromeda it's not unrealistic to say it will be a plot in the next game.
With all I've seen so far, I think this game is going to be set in the future. We have the furute date in the distress signal and liara is older. We will see Shaperd through her eyes, and possibly Grunt's and Rex's. The other reason is the style of game mass effect is, we will need enemies, a bigger threat which I think will be the scourge or dark energy plot, and an enemy to fight, in other words, the Kett are coming back, along with some other enemies (cerberus, remnent, new enemies). I don't think they will go for time travel, kind of risky and we've seen enough.
While there can in theory be wormholes, They are so tiny and unstable you cannot get ANTHING through them. A single particle trying to cross one would collapse it. or just wait a tiny fraction of a femtosecond and it'll collapse all by itself. You would need negative matter and/or energy of enormous proportions to stabilize one, let alone make it bigger than a proton across so as to be useful.

I don't think a big reference to Andromeda in ME5 will satisfy Andromeda fans. What Andromeda fans want is a sequel to the game and not a reference. If you instead said something like a big reference is the best Andromeda fans can hope for then I think that is more reasonable.
But beside that I think it is a great video. I just hope that the dark energy stays as more of a force of nature and not as motivation for the Reapers or any big bad.
There is hypothesis that the next game will merge all endings like it happend in Morrowind Daggerfall, where "big ass dwarf-constructed giant robot god broke the space-time continuum". Our giant big ass robot here could be Jardaan or anomalies created by dark energy problem. Then that last teaser poster from bar, where we see like too many references for familar faces (e.g. EDI with Joker and Garrus with what seem to resemble femShep), would make more sense to me.
Btw, you didnt know that Conrad's "wife" is actually shrine with "tasteful" picture of Shep surrounded by candles? My femShep wasn't happy hearing this.
Small update on this hypothesis: Numidium (which broke spacetime in that game) doesn't need to be constructed and then activated by anyone. The Crucible could essentially be the Numidium of Mass Effect:)
Using Dark Matter would have been a better choice. The scourge is mostly made of matter, especially E-0.
I like this idea and with this idea all ending could be used well I believe most could be used but most definitely connecting the two galaxy's I just cant wait for the game and its not even off the starting blocks
The removal of the Dark Energy plot from the original Trilogy worked out better for the series it seems, it's a lot of plot to cram in and may have made things convoluted, but this..
gives a connection to future ME games with a more powerful and different problem than Reapers. The Universe itself.
Yeah the "dark energy/matter" mystery is pretty much the only real solid line they've got at this stage. It's not a mystery I would ever want resolved, because it's just a science-y sounding excuse for magic, but they opted to explain and then get rid of the Reapers so not the first time they've made a bad choice.
And I don't think it'll be alternate dimensions or time travel or anything like that, either. Just making up some stuff about the world's magic and having the player explore it via its impact on more familiar things. Similar to what they tried and did very badly with the Collectors/Reaper creation in ME2.

i don't know if are seeing this, but i have thinking in a thing that i hear one day, that the colision of two black holes can create a breach in space-time and this can be a way for time travel and another crazy stuff, obviusly this in our universe, but if this is right or even almost right, it can be a possibility that in some point Bioware can use this kind of strange events of our universe in game, like you said in the video, black holes and another gravitational events can produce or affect the eezo in the area. And i don't said nothing about the white holes, that is even another curious event in our universe that can be used in the game.
Agaim We don't need mass effect andromeda to be involved all the time 😅

At this point, I'm not convinced that ME5 will ever come to fruition. Based on everything I'm reading, I think the odds that we'll see a ne ME game are 70/30 in favor. I have had a theory that EDI know what the crucible was going to do only the destroy part I think she figured it out when she was helping Lara and she told the geth consensus that were with Legion I also think she didn’t want to tell Shepherd because Shepherd would’ve delayed and got more people killed more planets taken over, just to try to help save EDI and other geth or she did not want to know that Shepherd only thought of her as a machine just some of her dialogue and question she has. But after seeing the 2023 N7 day poster and trailer. That the alliance military caught the code from Luna base just like Cerberus but instead of the EDI we know it’s a Evil EDI for lack of a better description that was trained like an N7, but is now actively hunting N7 as an infiltrator possibly looking for Shepherd and the crew because it was Shepherd and the crew that basically killed her. The bottom of the coat in the poster is unmistakably EDI hair outline just a tinfoil hat theory 😂😂

Having just watched the livestream you did with Ploppy54 Gaming about the Indoctrination Theory and now watching your Dark Energy video, it's a great reminder of just how amazing and exciting the Mass Effect Universe can be. Both from a fan's perspective and the writing team at BioWare. I absolutely love this universe and these videos are so bloody good.

Great video alot of interesting theories i wanna start with the 1. Reaper's trying to prevent it to me the harvesting and hibernating in dark space points to them wanting to control dark energy cause in the end theres no real to prevent it just slow it down since bionics using element zero is essentially is dark energy harvesting let them harrness the dark energy in there own way as to them hibernating in dark space allowed them to absorb any small amounts of dark energy they could to use when needed.
2. The Scorge i believe it was created by the Jardans to fight against an enemy unknown to us but was not completed unfortunately to an attack on the facility that was trying to perfect this weapon that uses dark energy as to why it attacks the Reveant is because they are created with Dark energy and Technology which is why the scourge is attected to the ships cause of the element zero they use The Scourge i believe wasnt mewnt for this as the enemy the Jardans were at war with probably used dark energy themselves but also was lets say like a humanoid part organic part machine the jardans were trying to getvthe scourge to differentiate between machine and organic that use dark energy but wasn't completed in time.
3. The Geth using dark energy in opinion has alot theories itself but let me put one out there maybe in there consensus dark energy is away for them to evolve in away that instead of having to hsve multiple geth around to be smarter dark energy is away for them to evolve to a point where that is not needed a group consensus to able to operate better but instead to operate on thier own without a having to reach an agreement with others and still not having an answer.

If the andromeda initiative have been a post me:3 thing this ME would have had a few more possible stories. It could have even setup a protagonist who was the benefactor. Not as a single rich individual, but rather someone who could do in the shadows what Sheppard did for the war effort in the light. Someone Like the shadow broker aka Liara could be among the first the one to help our protagonist find and deal with the others. Sadly the initiatives setup and launch happen mostly during the events of ME:2 and ME:3 making this less likely.

I said this before, everybody laughed. Mass effect 5 - The geth have discovered a "signal" of sort. The geth and liara discover further geth outposts in deep space. These outposts have "research" which leads to the Discovery of another reaper type villain or race which basically kicked the shit out of the reapers. It's such a threat that the reapers basically ran away from it. The scourge (however it's termed) is essentially a weapon like a mine, that rips apart space time. a weapon so powerful it literally destroys space. I think we will obviously see a fight between the remnants or whatever the robot race from Andromeda were called and the reapers.

Shepard and Kaidan are sent to the human colony of Eden Prime to recover an unearthed Prothean beacon. They repel an attack by the geth, rescuing Ashley in the process. Saren Arterius, a rogue turian Spectre, activates the beacon before escaping. Shepard reaches the beacon and receives a vague vision showing scenes of war and death. The SSV Normandy and its crew are summoned by Ambassador Donnel Udina to the Citadel Station, but Shepard is unable to convince the Citadel Council of Saren's treason without solid evidence. Conrad Verner is the basis of a personal theory of mine. IRL mass/speed effect time, but thanks to EEZO reducing mass to zero (math tells us anything time zero is... zero) time dilation is not a thing. That said, the Arks went 2.5 million light years in just 600~ years. What if, instead of zero mass, they went less than zero? Mathematically, subjective time would be longer for the occupants of a vessal, rather than shorter (effectively meaning that the Arks got to Andromeda in 600 years, but to the rest of the universe, it was just years. Could explain why they arrived in such a wrecked schedule). In the game, we can travel from one solar system to another without relays, but that would be a handfull or two light-years at zero mass. Tiny, but measurable time dilation. Scale that up a millionfold with negative mass... Well, I can't imagine I've cracked the secret, but it certainly is a neat-o thought.

After all he created the Reapers and those where very tricky, they tricked countless cycles into believing there had been only 1 civilization before them, that this civilization created the relays and the citadel, managed to prevent every cycle from investigating the citadel, how it works and from discovering the relay it was hiding and the presence of the brat child.
All in all very deceptive and good at tricking people so I would take what the AI tells us with a HUGE grain of salt.

Dark energy and Dark matter are placeholder names for physics as yet not understood. Dark energy is the name given the cause of the universe's expansion. Dark matter Is a gravitational phenomenon that is most easily modeled by particles of matter that do not interact with anything (including itself) except through gravity.
In neither case do we know for sure what's going on. It's even possible both are emergent phenomenon that will make sense when we finally reconcile General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics.
So according to real astrophysics, stars having a black hole in their inner core would at one point rapidly enlarge. This is only theory, but physics totally allows this. I wonder for a while if Dahl was such a star where the inner black hole was connected to the Heleus cluster's black hole - producing a wormhole. Tampering with dark energy around Dahl the Geth might have aimed to accelerate the process to get an own controlled black hole for Milky Way - Andromeda travel (remember, they built a mass relay telescope pointing towards Andromeda, so they might have figured all this out based on observations). The Scourge might have also ended up as an unwanted side-effect of this experiment. Alternatively, if there are wormholes between Dahl and Heleus, Shepart's energy detonation at the end of ME3 might have just influenced Dahl and the signal might have came out on the Helius side a couple of 100s years later...because you know, relativity and potentially time dilation effects. I know that Andromeda states the Scurge was created in 2450, but that may be a lie...how epic would it be if it turned out that Shepard caused the Scurge.

I thought Eezo was highly toxic and a carcinogen? That’s why non adapted life (I.e anyone not an Asari or born on an enriched planet like Thessia) have to be exposed, like it only affects humans if exposed in utero, and even then it’s a small chance to not present as cancer? I’m not sure if ingesting it works, unless something like red sand has an altered form of it?
