No kidding! Feel like the west appreciates them more than korea. Hopefully the 4 comebacks this year and the album next year helps. They are really starting to hit on all cylinders this year with their 1st show win, producesorn, and opening of their IG accounts. Stark contrast from 2018
No, they gain popularity this year and become popular as group just because they not win throphy (me & devil) not mean they not popular, they didn't win because they fight with boygroup who fandom really big and it hard for win music show with digital single but they do well on chat.
i looove the fact that Daniel pointed exactly about the visual/clothes which is the thing that CLC wanted to express out throughout the whole video!explaining about the chord switching, hanbok vs military uniform, 美 in red ink etc... it was a clear and perfect interpretation for this song, thank u 💮
4:58 The guy who was explaining the meaning of the words/symbolism of the chinese and korean parts was incredible interesting and informative!! More of him
I like their rapper, too. I didn't know much about them even though CLC comes up in my Pandora mix often, but it was Yeeun's voice that finally made me sit up and say, "That's it, who ARE these girls?"
I really like Daniel joining the reaction team, he really provides a new perspective to a lot of things! hope he gets to react to many songs in the future.
I love how detail the musicians explained what they see and hear. The referencing to difference era of Art and also, the new definition of beauty in the music and the video.💋💋
Great reaction. Especially the mention of destruction of historical beauty/art standards. Beauty is not this french decor or modern pop art. Beauty is me.
Cube kept changing their style to see what sticks, even after Hobgoblin success they changed the style more which alienates fans. Then Gidle came a long and due to Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar Soyeon has gotten tons of fame and its eclipsed CLC Theres a reason Rain, kpop giant, left Cube. They mismanaged 4Minute to create dissent between HyunA and the other 4 members, who no longer speak to her or vice versa. B2st ended up moving to another label because they were just poorly managed. CLC is another victim of cube.
@@selty why bring up all the past artists that were under a different CEO than the current one. Also, B2ST never moved to another label, they wanted their own label. Finally, if it weren't for (G)I-DLE's popularity CLC wouldn't be who they are today.
Yes Daniel is absolutely right! Their music video is closely related to the meaning of the song and has TONS of hidden meaning. For an instance, in 1:55 we can see the girls swiping their hands on their face which actually, means beauty in sign language. So many hidden details , along with the Venus (goddess of beauty in Ancient Greek) glass cover while one of the girls was in the back, almost like a box, trapped within almost like an exhibit.
I love how they explained the symbolism behind the MV and the formation of the song. Thank you for making me appreciate this song more than I already had
I'm so psyched that the musicians reacted to this song! It's definitely my favorite release of this year. As a classically trained musician myself I loved this song for how unique/intense/minor it is and how the imagery in the video coincides with the song itself. That being said, there were some things I didn't notice that the reactors pointed out that totally explained why the drop is so awesome. Like the sucking sound effect and the fact that the drop comes in a beat later than you think it will. So fucking cool.
I've been waiting for this. Finally you all react to CLC song. I wanted to request in previous video, but i don't know how to tell it. I am so happy that finally you all react them.
Yknow, one of the main things this channel has taught me is that 'drop music' is not necessarily hated by classical musicians. I knew pop music in general wouldn't be, and kpop is such top tier pop music (and can be so creative in so many ways that western pop music isn't) that it would be a given that people here would like it. But I remember as a teen, having been classically trained on piano and having moved away from the generic white boy bands any young middle class kid in England listened to and starting to listen to trendy arty music, the thing I was always most morally opposed to was drop music. At the time, brostep was super big - Skrillex etc - and the type of people who liked that were usually arseholes, so it was easy to further widen that natural gulf. But as I got back into kpop in 2017 (a love affair that started in 2011) I found myself enjoying the songs with club banger type drops in them just as I enjoyed the songs set in other genres and styles. I always thought that, while a classical music student would appreciate the inventivenss of Red Velvet or the immaculate production of Twice or the vocals of EXO or the rap of BTS, a club banger/drop song would still be repelling. I'm so glad I'm wrong.
Omw. This is officially my fave react. Y'all had me laughing and nodding along to your comments. I didn't catch that the girls were dressed according to diff cultures idea of female beauty. Amazing
Thanks for this, love CLC, so appreciate the reaction. Funny, people keep commenting on the "British" military type coats (seen it in other reactions as well), .. but, the British were the 'Red Coats', they were red. Colonist (Americans) and French were the blue color. The one girl did get it sorta right by saying French out fits. Is a silly thing to comment on, I know. ;) Thanks again for the reaction. CLC ❤️
I wish you do more of Naul's MVs someday. You can compare his appreciation to black music with "Baby Funk" or "Gloria" and compare his affection to 90's Korean Ballad style with "Emptiness in Memory" or "같은 시간 속의 너"(which might be translated to "You in the same hours"). Finding differences from early Brown Eyes songs and Brown Eyed Soul or his solo remake album would be also great.
i agree with that one guy, yeeun is a really good rapper and it's so sad that she goes underappreciated. i wouldn't say underrated because people do know her, they just don't comment on her skills as much. CLC as a whole deserved a lot better.

JM Saldaen because most people who like them don’t support them other than simply listening to their music
No, they gain popularity this year and become popular as group just because they not win throphy (me & devil) not mean they not popular, they didn't win because they fight with boygroup who fandom really big and it hard for win music show with digital single but they do well on chat.
Dreamcather too

i looove the fact that Daniel pointed exactly about the visual/clothes which is the thing that CLC wanted to express out throughout the whole video!explaining about the chord switching, hanbok vs military uniform, 美 in red ink etc... it was a clear and perfect interpretation for this song, thank u 💮
Yeah!!! That was good!
i felt dumm listening to him.......lol
I have watched this mv many times and never noticed :0

ExoSassAndAss yeah it’s how I discovered clc
probably because it wasn't a physical release :(
4:58 The guy who was explaining the meaning of the words/symbolism of the chinese and korean parts was incredible interesting and informative!! More of him
damn i never noticed they literally suck the sound out right before the drop. that’s hella cool
I was reading your comment when the guy was speaking about it😆
Just noticed it, like the dude said, it shows the element of silence
CLC's Me is literally my Favourite Kpop song out of 2019. Such an underrated bop
Me too and the choreography was really clever
So glad to see this song reviewed-I really liked all the reactions and opinions.
I like their rapper, too. I didn't know much about them even though CLC comes up in my Pandora mix often, but it was Yeeun's voice that finally made me sit up and say, "That's it, who ARE these girls?"
"it takes a little bit of ugly to make something truly beautiful"
Daniel's analysis was so interesting. Quickly becoming my favorite.
I really like Daniel joining the reaction team, he really provides a new perspective to a lot of things! hope he gets to react to many songs in the future.
Anyone else imagining Jarod going hard to this song? 😢
MeralK. yeaaaa! kinda miss him reacting tbh
dicky robiana me too, there are a lot of reactors that I‘m missing every now and then 😭
But with each video I like these new reactors more and more 😊
MeralK. i know, but still, jarod peyton hugo & gwen would be my faves all time😂
daniel's comments are so insightful,i love his input!

STAN CLC YALL all of their comebacks this year are bops and im still dumbfounded why they're so underrated ugh
Cube kept changing their style to see what sticks, even after Hobgoblin success they changed the style more which alienates fans. Then Gidle came a long and due to Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar Soyeon has gotten tons of fame and its eclipsed CLC

Funny, people keep commenting on the "British" military type coats (seen it in other reactions as well), .. but, the British were the 'Red Coats', they were red. Colonist (Americans) and French were the blue color. The one girl did get it sorta right by saying French out fits.
Is a silly thing to comment on, I know. ;)
Thanks again for the reaction.
