Oh my goodness.... Renee, I know what I am doing this weekend. The espresso ice cream looks delicious, and I know when it comes to ice cream you have a PhD! Thank you so much for this! 🥰🍨
Renee…YOU’RE KILLING ME! I CANT GET OFF THE CHRISTMAS CRACK! I made another batch today! I have made 10 batches at the very least through Christmas. Now I’m gonna do the ice cream. It looks Devine❤❤❤❤❤
I was gifted by my son at Christmas with a Kitchen Aide Mixer! So NOW I think I will need to ask for the Ice Cream Attachment for my Birthday/Mother’s Day!! I save your video to go back to when I am ready to make Ice Cream!!
Wow! These look amazing! Thank you, Renee, for sharing your recipe, your very thorough instructions and expertise. This was so very kind and generous of you. 😊❤
Everything looks delicious. Any chance you would consider creating an ice cream cook book? You gave so many great tips at the end of your presentation ( like when to add the salt) and different flavors to enjoy, it would be nice if have all in a book.📚 I already have a Kitchen Aide mixer, I just need the ice cream attachments. This was a fun video. 🍦🍨
Sounds delicious Renee! I make peanut butter milkshakes so this would be great to make ice cream homemade. I love my kitchen aid mixer. This is a great video. I love to learn something new to try. Thanks so much❤
Thank you for the video! For the ice cream maker and container for Christmas. Tried my first batch for NYE, but the recipe I had was too large for the kitchen aid. Still turned out yummy! Glad to have the right proportions now. 😁
Thank you Renee. I am so excited to try the Expresso version. I am not found of mix in’s (especially hard chocolate-it is just me and textures) and kind of a plain Jane…plain cheeseburger kind of gal. I do like coconut and pecans so was thinking I could add those. I agree this ice cream recipe is brilliant. Thanks for doing all your trials and errors and bringing us your winner. I am still wanting to try your rolled ice cream method. Was always hoping to make it back to KY. Now that I have your recipe Grands and I can give it a go. Just had ice cream bar for Grands bday after Christmas. Renee thank you so much for sharing. You 5 have a marvelous weekend.
You'll love the espresso ice cream plain....it's so good! I just love a crunch and texture so I add the extras. You can absolutely leave them out. Have fun!
@@WelcomeToMyCurls Thank you so much. I love coffee ice cream. When I lived in KC I talked HyVee into carrying Coffee Ice Cream .I have had less than 50 drinks in my life ( I am a senior antique). Anyway Mexican Restaurant named Annie’s Santa Fe had drink called Annie’s Downfall. It was Bailey’s, chocolate syrup and coffee ice cream. Sooo yummy! Will cherish your recipe. Thanks a bunch Renee.
Hi Renee, Great video and the ice cream looks brilliant! In the summer I can purchase 900ml, nearly a litre of delicious Cornish ice cream for £4.00, around USD4.84 in my local Super store. Cheers! Dave. 🇬🇧🇺🇲
Okay...so I've had vanilla ice cream with a lovely rose wine (like a pink moscato) mixed in and it was awesome! The wine (what ever is your favorite) flavor is enhanced by the vanilla creaminess of the ice cream and it is a one-of-a-kind treat...great for those brunches or dinner parties! I hope you'll try it and let us all know how you like it. Growing up my parents allowed us kids to mix in liquors or just about any hard liquors to vanilla ice cream and it really is a treat!
Hi! Sure.....here's my recipe suggestion: When you put the warm ice cream into the mixing bowl and add vanilla, also add 2 Tbsp of maple syrup. Then when the ice cream is churning, add crushed black walnuts. This will incorporate both flavors into the ice cream itself. Then when layering the ice cream into the insulated tub, add a little drizzle of maple syrup and a bit more crushed black walnut (kind of like I did with the peanut butter brown recipe). Top it with crushed black walnuts for looks. Sounds delish!
I've been waiting for this video after you announced you would be making it to see how easy or hard it is to make ice cream. I have a professional KitchenAid mixer and now I am excited to buy the ice cream maker attachment. I can't wait to make my first batch of almond joy ice cream.
My my, all those flavors sound so good. We grew up on peach ice cream Papa used to make it with peaches off our backyard tree. Putting in carmel and graham crackers sounds wonderfully decant. How do the delicate graham crackers stay crisp vs soggy? Does the batter get that cold as it is mixing? Yum Yummy. Thank you Renee. Loved the video😊
The batter gets very cold when it's churning. By adding the graham crackers at the end into cold ice cream instead into it during the warm liquid stage, the crackers stay crisp.
Oh Renee I have been waiting for this recipe! Question I have the Ninja Creami Do you think it would work in it? They have cooked recipes for it and a time to add your mix. I can't wait to try it.
Hi Renee- Somehow I didn’t realize ice cream contains eggs? 🧐. This looks delicious and something I can convert into a keto recipe 😋. Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipes. ❤❤❤
Wow. Way too complicated for me. I can open a can with the best of them, but after that my kitchen skills are sorely lacking, I'm afraid. That's why I seldom cook (I don't enjoy it and I don't do it well---do I not enjoy because I don't do it well or do I not do it well because I don't enjoy it?). When I do cook, I think I deserve the Medal of Honor when what I create is edible (forget "it tastes good"). I really admire people who are skilled at cooking.
Question could you try making a non dairy ice cream. I can use coconut milk, soy milk and almond milk. I did find coconut almond creamer at Trader Joe’s. I am allergic to cows milk dairy.
At my ice cream shop, we used coconut milk for a non-dairy version of our flavors. It doesn't get thick and creamy like dairy so I'm not sure how it would churn in the ice cream maker. If you give it a try...let me know how it turns out please!
I bought the ice cream double insulated tubs you talk about, but for some reason my lids do not seal. Is there something I’m doing wrong, or should I return due to a defect?
The recipe states 1 1/2 cups half & half cream then it states 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream. Did you actually use both in this recipe? I only saw the half and half cream being used.
Lola and Maxxie were in and out of the kitchen the whole time I was talking. Surprised you didn't hear them! But it's because I'm wearing a microphone so their footsteps aren't picked up.
LOL!! You can try using coconut milk but I can tell you from experience at my ice cream shop, it will not get thick and creamy. It will taste good but have more of an icy texture.
Well if it’s lactose intolerance… go for lactose free milk and cream. Maybe you could make the custard with free lactose high content milk. If it’s an allergy… I’m not sure 😅. My daughters (three out of four 😮) are lactose intolerant. I use lactose free everything. It’s tiring but no 💩 problems, lol 😝 that way. When I explain that I use cheddar cheese to make pizza… people look at me funny. But we don’t have a choice! And it’s not that bad….Or homemade pesto also with free lactose cheese… lol From pizza to deserts etc . Good luck!! 🤞
I can’t have this either, but it’s because dairy messes with my psoriasis 😢 I will splurge once in a while, but not enough to buy a machine and keep it in my freezer.

Oh my gosh it's still cold and wintery here in Germany, but your video makes me feel like having some delicious ice-cream! Looks yummy 👍🍨🍦

I received one of that ice cream bowls and I’m very excited to learn your recipes
Oh yay!!!! You'll love the ice cream it makes. Better than anything you can get an an ice cream shop or grocery....promise!
I use Kahlua in several ice cream flavors. I feel like it brings certain flavors out like chocolate or peanut butter.

Not all does. The custardy type does.
Hi! Not all ice cream contains eggs....my I love a custard so eggs are in my version. Eggs make the ice cream so much creamier and delicious
@@TransformInProgress Most don’t have eggs. This is more of a frozen custard.
What is your recipe for a chocolate ice cream. Thank you

I want to make peach.

Any recommendations to use this recipe in a ninja creami?

@dianeloughery I used canned coconut CREAM (not coconut milk) and it worked. Thickened up nicely.
@ Thank you Carolyn I didn’t think of it. I will try that.
Looks yummy. But what’s a USA cup in volume? We use grams in the uk 😅😅😅
We have cups but I have a feeling it’s not the same measurement. 😂
One cup is equal to 200.86 grams. There are a bunch of free measurement converters online. Just google and you'll find them :)
