Also the new movement implemented this „backwards roll“ and whenever I go for a fancy highground retake or sometimes even regular side jumps I start rolling backwards it‘s so annoying I would love to be able to remove that mechanic for myself as I don‘t find any need for it, it literally just annoys me. But of course epic would never even care for settings like that.

Dude right! I play double claw so I’ve got a lot of range on what I can bind to different buttons but I’m pretty much out of space for any new binds. Gonna have to resort to buying a scuff just for the extra 4 buttons on the back lol

1 simple solution that I've been suggesting to Epic since they were added. Jump/Forward Hold Time slider for Mantles and Hurdles. Just like the ones we've got for crouch/slide and Edit.
Also, WASD players may find Forward for Mantle Hurdle to be better with the introduction of the new movement. Sorry, joystick movement users. This doesn't work as well with 360 movement.
What is much more frustrating to me and has caused me to quit after playing since the game came out is the discriminatory bug affecting controller players. When you are near a dbno player and you try to use pickaxe it does not work or it carries the player if u look at them but, if you are near them not looking at the dbno player pickaxe does not work at all, and mouse and keyboard can unbind the carry feature but if controller tries to unbind carry it also unbinds pickaxe meaning there is no way to fix this bug for controller players. this has made me so sad I know it will never be fixed if you looked into it and made a video about it I would be eternally grateful and I suspect they can't fix your jump/mantle issue for kb&m because it will mean there is a new issue only affecting controller because of lack of buttons for binds.

Has anyone else had problems in the last 2 days with the Assault rifle with the scope in chapter 6 where you lose the scope when you aim down sights at the end of a game. It happened to me twice yesterday at the end of the game and I finished 2nd and 3rd because my gun all of a sudden didn't have a scope anymore and it was like I had the other assault rifle and I know I didn't cuz I only had one assault rifle and it had the scope the whole game until the end of game
This and the jump you do when you jump off a ledge it’s so annoying it messes me up all the time either if im trying to rush someone or just in general
Ive wanted them to add the ability to turn off mantle since it came out OR make it so you dont put your map away when you mantle. I cant tell you the countless number of times Ive died accidentally mantling when I am building. Usually when cranking 90s I get real close to the wall and end up mantling off my builds - or trying to drop down levels backwards I mantle back up. I know part of my problem is high ping and delay...but I cant imagine all these other movements are going to make things better.
I think even adding a toggle for requiring a double input to mantle or do all the extra actions tied to jump would be so useful. Not to mention picking stuff off the ground can be a headache if a player drop all their loot in a corner. If Fortnite could just slow down a retrace their steps a bit on their mechanics it would make so many people so happy
Thing to note with all of these jump actions, you only do them if you’re ALSO moving. So if you learn the correct movement and or just learn to stop holding w/the jump key it’ll solve all these problems
Hurdling can be bad like this but it’s actually useful sometimes for not taking fall damage and making jumps you won’t be able too make without hurdling
honestly, hurdling has caused me to die more times than its actually helped me, so I would honestly would want to either disable this or change this to another bind
They should add an option between old vs new movement animation in the same update if they ever add the binding option, the animation would just let people choose their preference.

The only thing that it can do is jump through windows, but this is just such a useless thing. You will never need to jump through windows in a fight because that's an instant death, and jumping through windows from a house only saves 4 seconds. DUDE 90% OF THE TIME, THE HURDLING DOESN'T EVEN SHOW UP.
Build fight seem alot worse with this sometime people will hurdle thru builds or even hurdle before the build even place cuz of spam jumping when fighting the amount of time i try and divide my 1 tile into 1/2 with a stair but they just hurdle thru the middle of my stair is crazy

This shouldn't even be a whole new bind, but a bind combo: RMB + Space (when in range) or W+Space (while sprinting). Also, I'd love to see a short detailing your whole keybind layout and the thought process behind it.

Lowkey yeah, they should seperate some of these binds, since while yes keeping them all to the same button does streamline things for newer and less experienced players, having too many actions set to one button can really screw over a player For me in particular, I can't even count how many times I died because I accidentally mantled or hurdled over a wall or obstacle trying to escape an opponent because I had to jump to avoid a shot, but ope, there's a wall right there so my character just has to monkey themself over it, which takes longer and leaves me vulnerable since you can't be at the ready to build or shoot while doing either action
Just give us a time to hold slider, like they do with the crouch/sliding Mechanic. i.e. you have to hold the jump button for anywhere between 0.1 and 0.9 seconds this will stop so many accidental mantle and hurdles
One thing I had it was ranked my game into elite and I was in final 4 in a build fight and I jumped off my build since I was getting 3rd partied and had enough room to survive and I placed my ramp and rolled off the ramp which was on top of one of the weird mountains and fell to my death
Only problem is that controller would need space for a setting like this but we don’t have any extra buttons after all the new movement is out now so we’re would epic fit it in is the question.
Or if they just gave some options in the settings to just turn it off entirely so that you can only use what you want, I hate pressing jump too early thinking I’m boutta hit a perfect slide cancel just to roll…

you don't have to jump. go further right, or blueprint edit through a big window. that's how I've been playing since I learned how to do them, and you don't get punished for it as long as you move back to cover before confirming the edit

Get a keypad for your feet so that you can press extra buttons with your toes while you use your controller

Are you on pc? You might’ve disabled the scope by pressing shift. If you lose the scope press shift while ADS and you’ll get it back
If you were standing on a cone, you could have blueprint edited that wall without jumping.

Hurdle is so hard to do, but when I am not trying to hurdle it works
For me, i set it to moveforward to hurdle and for some reason, it doesn't let me hurdle unless I move forward AND press jump at the same time.

you can toggle that off, there’s also a setting that says “hold Jump to xyz, or Press forward to xyz”
They should add a scroll bar to adjust the miliseconds you want to press the jump button to hurdle, also, reducing the cooldown after you do it

yea the hurdle and wall climb needs a specific binds its for real a hotfix there shouldnt need to be a down time to fix this movement issues

Yeah but you only hurdle if you also move forward. So in this case you just had to jump before pressing W instead of after...

Doing side jumps if your opponent comes your top is impossible because you end up doing super jump which launches you a extra tile away
