I think the school boards who are making the decisions are forgetting how important our teachers are & taking them for granted. Teachers deserve to make more money than doctors bc they're helping our future generations learn to think for themselves. Thank you for EVERYTHING you've done, & continue to do, teachers! My son figured out that by folding a Kleenex up to about the size and shape of a stick of gum and placing over the nose where the wire part is cuts down on the fogging by 80%.

Not bothering to wear a mask is just immature and reckless. From what you have said, you have not been paying attention. My State has been declared a State of Disaster and is in Stage 3 Restrictions whilst our Capital City Melbourne are in Stage 4 Restrictions which means they have a curfew, can only go outside to excercise for one hour per day and those whose jobs that are deemed essential are able to work only. It is mandatory throughout Victoria to wear a face-mask at all times. I really can't believe how flippant you are being! If you want to die, go for it but it's those you will infect that are the ones I feel sorry for. Thank goodness our borders are closed so that those with your attitude aren't allowed in! RESEARCH!!!

It is not a lie that young people are dying from this virus. It is fact! Not everyone recovers fully either. Masks are not meant to stop the virus getting to you but to stop you spreading it to others. Our State had its initial wave and then Restrictions were lifted. The public let the ball down and many people have died as a result. As soon as people could have more freedom, the virus went from zero new cases up to about five hundred everyday! Herd immunity didn't work here. Now that the State of Disaster has been declared and harsher restrictions imposed, the new cases have been decreasing finally although nowhere near the other States that are still showing mostly zero new cases still. Children have died and in all age groups to the most vulnerable which are the elderly. Have you ever been on a ventilator? I have. I was on life-support and comatose for three weeks and in that short time lost 12kg in wait making me 1kg 'heavier' than my German Shepherd. I was nothing but skin and bone. If you think that I am going through a repeat performance of that, think again. My surgeons were positive that I would die and I had the worst type of Pneumonia which was MRSA on top of the life saving operation I needed. If I got the virus, my flu vaccination nor the pneumonia one will be of no help. It could very easily kill me and I am definitely not elderly. There are numerous people in my position but I guess you think that we are worth the loss. If a life can be saved it is worth it. I get so tired of those with massive death statistics and rates of infection claiming that their Country is doing great. I've got news for you, you're not! The amount of people who have unnecessarily died is not acceptable. How can you possibly even compare a Country like Sweden to the US or even Australia? We are all different. When it hit here we were still sweltering away in summer in record temperatures and not to forget the catastrophic Bush Fires. Just as it was getting cooler and into Cold and Flu Season, they lessened the restrictions which set it all off again. How many are you prepared to sacrifice in your Country until your satisfied? Comparing cases like you have is not realistic. Every person is different and will react differently. As I stated, it's not your life that I'm concerned about as you aren't but it's those you will effect. How about giving them a thought and do something good for your fellow man? Anyway, I'm desperate for sleep and do wish you and your Country well and much better than it has been. Please just try and think of others! 🇦🇺

Shout out to my fellow school bus drivers too! I remember so many of my bus drivers, including my first bus driver and dear friend, who got me into driving 20 years after driving me to kindergarten. She also kept telling me to stop telling our co-workers that she drove me to kindergarten, it made her feel old! We are all doing our part. It's mandatory to wear masks where I live which makes it awfully hard when your glasses fog and you can't see a thing. I went to get my groceries early this morning where it is still winter. My glasses fogged and it's so hard to try and get some air circulation going to clear them, especially with everyone looking at why you're playing with your mask. I understand!
Try using paper medical tape on the top edge of your mask to tape it to your face. The tape prevents the damp air from your breath from reaching your glasses and causing the fog. You can buy paper medical tape at the pharmacy bandaid aisle. If this helps you, share the information so we can all see clearly and be safe.

Yup, if you are working with kids at a school it counts and THANK YOU. I know I remember my teachers from elementary way back when, but I also remember Ed and Stacy. Ed was our Janitor, Stacy our secretary, and yeah they have a special place in my heart. For one thing THEY didn't grade us lol, and they were always an ally, a conspirator, and a grown up friend. Both of my parents were teachers (Mom Early Childhood and Special Ed and Dad High School American History) who both retired many, many years ago but I've always had great respect and admiration for teachers because of it. And especially for those teaching during the pandemic. I've always just wished teachers could be paid what they're worth....which is a lot more than they actually are.

plain strong soap works too. Don’t use scented, cold cream added, glycerine, just plain old soap. Wash each lens and polish, don’t rinse. Keeps clear for hours
Thanks for the support. Parents everywhere are making decisions that are best for their families and there are so many variables they must consider beyond the potential for illness. It's scary for sure, and no matter what parents choose someone is going to tell them they are wrong. I'm a teacher and a parent and we are back in person as long as we can be.
Oh, and to help with the foggy glasses when you have your mask on, try Flexiable Mose Band Masks! I just got one yesterday. Basically, you can sculpt the nose band so that it fits you! And your glasses don’t fog! They are really good and I would highly recommend them!
OMG Guys this is totally awesome and so touched my heart this is a really hard thing to make decision on opening classrooms up or not or for how long etc. You guys for doing this and always stressing the importance of social distancing and wearing masks and doing everything correctly to stay safe and healthy. Wow these teachers are amazing they are so cool getting involved sending their videos joining with the dancing. Despite everything in America they still seem to have this amazing sense of spirit in some places it’s brilliant to see and I wish we had more of that here in England. I definitely didn’t have any teachers as cool or fun as that when I was at school and it would be good to see some people making videos like this here. A lot of my family are (now retired) teachers, but most of my generation didn't follow the tradition because we saw up close how you were treated way before all of this...
As a teacher I can tell you that most teachers have to go with whatever their district decides, and then where they are placed as far as an assignment. Many teachers do not feel safe, and feel tremendous pressure, uncertainty and stress, but we cannot afford to resign or take time off. And so we put on a brave face for our students, who we serve with love each day.

Oh for sure!! If you work with kids everyday in any capacity, you are essential and needed to keep it all together. I know when I was in school it was you guys and the custodians and lunch workers who caught the bullies and smiled at me and helped me with my boots in the winter, and all sorts of kindnesses. Both of my parents were teachers (Mom Early Childhood and Special Ed and Dad High School American History) who both retired many, many years ago but I've always had great respect and admiration for teachers because of it. plain strong soap works too. Don’t use scented, cold cream added, glycerine, just plain old soap. Wash each lens and polish, don’t rinse. Keeps clear for hours

Thanks for the support. Parents everywhere are making decisions that are best for their families and there are so many variables they must consider beyond the potential for illness. It's scary for sure, and no matter what parents choose someone is going to tell them they are wrong. I'm a teacher and a parent and we are back in person as long as we can be.
Oh, and to help with the foggy glasses when you have your mask on, try Flexiable Mose Band Masks! I just got one yesterday. Basically, you can sculpt the nose band so that it fits you! And your glasses don’t fog! They are really good and I would highly recommend them!

OMG Guys this is totally awesome and so touched my heart this is a really hard thing to make decision on opening classrooms up or not or for how long etc. You guys for doing this and always stressing the importance of social distancing and wearing masks and doing everything correctly to stay safe and healthy. Wow these teachers are amazing they are so cool getting involved sending their videos joining with the dancing. Despite everything in America they still seem to have this amazing sense of spirit in some places it’s brilliant to see and I wish we had more of that here in England. I definitely didn’t have any teachers as cool or fun as that when I was at school and it would be good to see some people making videos like this here. THANKS, HF. I am a teacher of teachers, and would have loved to go back to class, but we are fully online this Fall, as are most of our schools (So. Cal). SAD!!! So trying to figure out how to teach teachers how to teach remotely. 30 years as an educator, and this is a BRAVE NEW WORLD!!! We're mucking through it. That is what has happened here I worked in the school. And it was go back in or there is the door. Know or another staff who has to work in 2 schools and was told she could not do it at home.

A lot of my family are (now retired) teachers, but most of my generation didn't follow the tradition because we saw up close how you were treated way before all of this...
As a teacher I can tell you that most teachers have to go with whatever their district decides, and then where they are placed as far as an assignment. Many teachers do not feel safe, and feel tremendous pressure, uncertainty and stress, but we cannot afford to resign or take time off. And so we put on a brave face for our students, who we serve with love each day.
