LS has everything the GS has, but better. Except for sportiness, that is ALL.

LS is the straight baller car to show off. GS is the car to take to the track and canyon carve.

    I have a 2008 GS 460. My 0-60 is about 5.2. My dad has a 2009 LS 460, and his 0-60 is about 5.7.

Give me times or events you would pick one over the other....family reunion showing off LS 460 and church Sunday drives.....work commute / racing Gs 460.......road trip for me the LS 460 even thought equally LS more comfy

I have a JDM LS460 with the more powerful 1GE-FSE dual injected engine, some mild exhaust mods, and a mild tune - I can get a sub 5 second 0-100km/h on a good, dry surface with PS4S tyres - usually a 4.9, but I have seen a 4.8. I came from a modified Falcon G6E Turbo which had way more power and in theory could do a much better 0-100km/h - but the GS460 has a more sophisticated suspension and transmission, and therefore more traction, so at least from the lights, it's actually a very quick car. Having driven the LS460 a couple of years ago when I was working out what I wanted to replace the Falcon, the LS460 a way more comfortable car - but the GS460 is also very nice to spend a long road-trip in - and critically for me, it's a more fun car to drive solo on a quite Sunday morning on a rolling country road. Very underrated car in my opinion.
Mine being JDM, I got some super odd features, like a mini-disc player, "Light sabre" blue light up marker for the front left corner of the car, and ETC card system for Japanese toll roads. I tried to find a mini-disc to play in the mini-disc player, but had no luck at all - and I sabotaged the ETC card system to power my radar detector and dash-cams - but the pop up corner marker is fun.

@Beer_Dad1975 The LS 460 only has the 4.6 L 1UR-FSE. Other LS models have different engines but are not called the "460" because they do not have the 4.6 L. I do not believe they would be any JDM branded as Lexus be the Lexus brand was known to be an exclusive export car for the US market as long as Europe and the Middle East while the JDM market were rebranded as Toyota with a simpler interior and less features. All 1UR-FSE engines are duel injection as denoted by the "SE" code. The LS and GS have the exact same engine, but the LS has a dual intake with two MAF sensors and is tuned for more power and torque to compensate for a much heavier car.

@sirmoney2762 I would choose the LS any time but racing. Although the LS has more power, I've noticed my GS to actually be quicker and easier to take corners with because it has much less weight and sportier suspension.

GS460 only came in RWD. Only the 350s had the AWD option

The GS is better if you want a slightly more sporty ride, although its huge...it feels like a much smaller car bc of its sporty nature, it looks much better, and still retain alot of the ride and comfort of a Lexus. With the GS you get the best of both worlds.

The GS can be confused with an altima or camry too easily.

If both these motors are the same how does the LS get more horse power?
