The bad news is that this was the first of nine shuttle flights (including STS-71) that had the misfortune of being thrown under the bus by the news media because they were paying more attention to O.J. Simpson and his infamous murder trial that lasted over a year. It didn't help that Jerry Springer and his show was hogging the spotlight (I will not be showing any video from that show due to its strong adult content and strong adult language.).
If we showed from the cockpit to every American during the space shuttle program every American would be in the space shuttle program, a lot of footage they should have showed us if they did it would inspired us more, but even though this launch is years ago it is significant, this is American excellence oh, we have something special and it's positive to the entire world

What was that I heard winding down at around 0:50? It sounded like something was turned off.
Only thing I could think of are the I think three APUs unless those are all on for launch. Not sure.
